In present-day South Korea, where the contribution of Korean War veterans who dedicated their lives for the peace of the country is often overlooked, one organisation is working hard to widely publicise and record their noble deeds through memorial ceremonies, campaigns, and events - the Shincheonji Volunteer Group.

The Eastern Seoul Branch of Shincheonji Volunteer Group recently received a plaque of appreciation from the Dobong District Branch of the Korean War Veterans Association.

The Eastern Seoul Branch and the Dobong District Branch have been collaborating for over 10 years to spread awareness of veterans' affairs and peace, starting with the first "Love Your Country, Share Peace" event in 2014.

Seong-yong Kim, secretary general of the Dobong District branch, said, I received a lot of love and support from the Shincheonji Volunteer Group and couldn't give them much in return, so I personally crafted a plaque of appreciation with love.

Meanwhile, since 2014, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group has held the 'Love Your Country, Share Peace' campaign in June (Patriot & Veterans Month), in order to raise civic awareness of the noble sacrifice of war veterans who died for the peace of Korea and to promote a world of peace without conflict.
