Shincheonji Gwangju Church Bible Seminar Draws In 30,000 Participants Worldwide
On September 21st, Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, Peter Tribe Gwangju Church (hereafter referred to as Shincheonji Gwangju Church) hosted the "Testimony on the Fulfilled Realities of Revelation Bible Seminar" in Gwangju, South Korea. What unfolded was more than just a seminar - it was an encounter that left thousands of pastors, believers, journalists and local missionaries in charge of overseas missions reflecting deeply on the essence of faith.
The programme opened with a youth praise team performance, followed by segments featuring the testimony of the 100,000 Graduation Ceremony, MOU agreements for Bible exchange, accounts of church signboard changes in Korea and abroad, and testimonies from pastors in a specially prepared video.
Delivering the keynote lecture on the theme, "The Completion of the 6000-Year History of God: The Book of Revelation," Tribe Leader Jae-wook Yoo clearly explained the purpose of God's work and how the prophecies and promises recorded in the last book of the Bible, the Book of Revelation, were fulfilled through actual realities.
Tribe Leader Yoo explained, “The core of the Bible is God's promise and its fulfilment, and the true meaning can be known when the promise is fulfilled and the reality is revealed.”
He emphasised, “Revelation is the final promise of the Bible given directly by Jesus, who shed blood and died for our sins.”
He also said, “When the promise of Revelation is fulfilled, Jesus chose one person who saw and heard the fulfilment firsthand as a witness to inform the whole world about the 'reality of the fulfilment of Revelation.' The Bible tells us that the 12 tribes of God's new kingdom will be recreated through those who understand this word. Shincheonji Church of Jesus is making this known.”
Local missionaries from countries as far afield as Ethiopia and Tanzania attended. With online participation via YouTube, the conference attracted a total of nearly 30,000 attendees.
A pastor from the United Reformed Church said, “I was able to hear the words of fulfilment of Revelation directly and confirm the will of God being realised. I want to share what I learned and confirmed with the congregation.”
Caleb Jedu, a local missionary in Ethiopia, said, “Ethiopian pastors and religious leaders also recognise the revealed word of Shincheonji Church of Jesus as the true word that cannot be heard anywhere else. It has enabled local believers to build their faith based on the Bible, and the congregation is also experiencing changes in their lives.”
For decades, only a few pastors dared to attend Shincheonji’s open Bible seminars due to stigma. Now, thousands are coming, not just out of curiosity but to verify and judge according to Scripture. The September 21st event marked a turning point: pastors left not only with answers but also with renewed questions about their own ministries.
