Since 2014, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group’s Chungju Branch ("Chungju branch") has been steadily supporting the disabled sports scene and spreading the "value of consistency" to the local community.
On the 10th October 2025, the Chungju branch received a plaque of appreciation from the Chungju City Lawn Bowls Association for Disabled People in recognition of their contributions.
The Chungju branch has been particularly involved in the operation of the 2025 North Chungcheong Provincial Governor's Cup National Lawn Bowls Tournament for the Disabled and the 13th Chungju Mayor's Cup National Lawn Bowls Tournament for the Disabled.
Over the 11-year period, the Chungju branch has assisted approximately 600 participants, including athletes, referees, staff, and caregivers.
Their activities included:
⬩ Preparing and serving meals with a smile
⬩ Cleaning and organising the stadium
⬩ Supporting with waste sorting and general maintenance
Their friendly greetings, eye-level conversations, and sincere hospitality have created a warm and welcoming environment throughout the events.
One player shared: “Every time a volunteer handed me a meal with a big smile, it felt like I was meeting an angel. They lifted the whole atmosphere.”
The members of Chungju City Lawn Bowls Association for Disabled People expressed their gratitude, saying, “They remain unchanged since we first met 10 years ago.”
The Chungju branch's biyearly volunteer experience with the Chungju City Lawn Bowls Association for Disabled People is part of their ongoing “Pinky Promise Campaign,” a campaign which promotes communication and harmony between people with disabilities and people without.
Meanwhile, whether through meals, kind words, or steady support, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group shows that true connection comes not from ability, but from love.
