On 16th November 2025, Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, Bartholomew Tribe Gimpo Church continued to raise environmental awareness through a 'plogging' activity.
Since July 2024, Shincheonji Gimpo Church has been carrying out ‘plogging’ activities every week to remove cigarette butts and discarded plastic waste, which were causing a particular nuisance to local residents.

On that day, the plogging activity was carried out within a one-kilometre radius of the church by three teams that amassed a total of seven 20-litre waste refuse sacks filled with cigarette butts, plastic cups, water bottles, plastic bags, and snack wrappers.
Participant Min-soo Lee (18, male, Gimpo City) said, “The small act of picking up litter actually helps create the inner values necessary for growing as a person of faith.”
Student department head Tae-hee Lee (33, male, Gimpo City) said, “I realised with the students that the environment around the church can be kept clean with just a little bit of attention.”
Meanwhile, Shincheonji Gimpo Church's plogging service, which is an environmental activity that combines picking up litter while jogging, has gone beyond simple environmental clean-up activities and has become a 'life service' in which church members have a sense of responsibility and contribute to the local community in their daily lives.
