At the threshold of autumn 2023, an event was held to explore ways of letting go of life's worries and finding joy and happiness.
On the 8th September, Shincheonji Jeonjiu Church, Thomas Tribe, of Shincheonji Church of Jesus held the 'Happiness Lecture: A Message of Joy for You' with about 1000 citizens in attendance.
The event brought joy and emotion to the audience through a variety of performances, including drum performances, cheerleading performances, letter readings, and singing performances, as well as the play 'Guard Boy'.
In addition, citizens looking for contentment and joy continued to visit the experiential booths, which included otolaryngology & acupuncture therapy, balloon art, and flower crafts set up at the ‘Happiness Lecture’.
In particular, on the 4th floor, a body and soul exhibition was held; and across the four floors were ‘Connecting with My Soul’ in Hall 1, ‘Secret of Happiness’ in Hall 2, ‘God’s Story’ in Hall 3, and ‘God’s Gift’ in Hall 4.
Attendees who toured the exhibition expressed their impressions of the work, saying that the exhibition, 'Answered numerous questions,' and left them with much food for thought.
Lecturer Jun-cheol Gyeong, who was giving the talk, began his lecture with the topic, ‘How can I live a happy life?’
Lecturer Gyeong said, “If you live a life with spiritual discernment, you will gain a heart that cannot be attained through human will alone or bought with money.” He added, “If you live a life of constant gratitude, God will look down upon the world and hear your prayers.” Citing 3 John 1, he explained, “You will live a life in which your soul prospers and everything goes well.”
In-cheol Lee (male, Deokjin district, Jeonju city), who attended the Happiness Lecture, said, “I came to the event at the invitation of a good acquaintance, whom I know well. I've been feeling exhausted after going through some big and small challenges recently, but the performances were touching and the lecture heartfelt. I received great comfort and am grateful to everyone who prepared such a great event.”
Meanwhile, an official from Jeonju Church said, “These monthly seminars are growing,” and, “We're preparing for a large-scale praise right after the Chuseok holidays.”
