On 15th September, Shincheonji Volunteer Group Cheongpyeong Branch (Director Seong-min Cho) donated food items to local residents at the Happiness Sharing Storehouse in Sang town, Gapyeong district, Gyeonggi province, as part of its 'Good Donation, Good Consumption Campaign'.

The Happiness Sharing Storehouse is a space where the recycling and donation of used goods is practised by local residents who are in temporary difficulty or in need of sudden help through voluntary donations of food ingredients etc. from local residents.

The 'Good Donation, Good Consumption Campaign' is a campaign in which upstanding organisations that have signed an agreement with Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which purchases goods from the select organisations, donate part of the profits generated through daily consumption to help local residents in need. Shincheonji Cheongpyeong Church, stores and the local community collaborate on this campaign.

In addition, the Cheongpyeong branch has been carrying out a campaign every month to spread joy by uniting ethical companies and beneficiaries, and the donated items (54 beef bone broth and 37 small boxes of eggs (4 each)) are carefully delivered to local residents who visit the Happiness Sharing Store.

A local resident who runs a vineyard said, “I stopped by because I was curious to learn what kind of place the Happiness Sharing Storehouse is, and after seeing the volunteer work of Shincheonji Volunteer Group, I also wanted to find items to donate and participate in their volunteer work.”

Jeong-ah Shin, head of the Happiness Sharing Storehouse division, said, “The Cheongpyeong branch of Shincheonji Volunteer Group donates items to the Happiness Sharing Storehouse every month, and this is of great help. I am always grateful to meet true volunteers.”

Director Jun-su Yoon also said, “I hope it will be popular among the elderly as we donate healthy gomtang (beef bone soup) to celebrate Chuseok, a national holiday,” and added, “They donate to the Happiness Sharing Coffer every month, which is of great help to me as the person in charge of this place.”

He continued, “The Cheongpyeong branch always volunteers passionately, and when I meet them, I feel warm and receive positive energy, which makes me feel good.”

Seong-min Cho, head of the Cheongpyeong branch of Shincheonji Volunteer Group, promised, “The Cheongpyeong branch has been steadily carrying out volunteer work in the region, and will continue to take the lead in helpful practical volunteer work.”
