ManHee Lee, Chairman of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, is giving a lecture at the 'Shincheonji Bible Seminar: Testimony on the Fulfillment of Revelation' held at Vista Hall in Walkerhill, Seoul on the afternoon of April 22nd 2023. On this day, about 500 people, including pastors, preachers, and evangelists from Seoul, Gyeonggi, Gangwon, and Incheon, attended the Bible Seminar

“This is a lecture that unravels piece by piece the Book of Revelation, which is the last work of God in the 6000 years of biblical history, and is a book which no one has been able to unravel or understand. Shincheonji will become a place where humanity’s greatest truth is made known to all nations.”

The Book of Revelation is a mysterious prophetic book of the New Testament. Because most of its contents are recorded in parables, the Book of Revelation is a very difficult text to comprehend, which even the religious community cannot fully comprehend. Many pastors even say that if you read the Book of Revelation, you will become a heretic, so  you should just ignore it and have unconditional faith. Even the interpretations of Revelation among well-known pastors are contrasting, causing confusion among believers. Is there a place that can clearly explain the meaning of the prophecies recorded in the Book of Revelation, and their fulfilled realities based on the Bible?

Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Chairman ManHee Lee), which has been making known the fulfilment of the Book of Revelation for the past 40 years, will hold a Bible Seminar in the second half of the year in major cities across South Korea, starting with Seoul on the 7th October. It is estimated that about 1000 former and current pastors, evangelists, and preachers from the established denominations will attend the event. This will be the 8th time this year that the Shincheonji Bible Seminar will be held for pastors, seminarians, and church members. Shincheonji Church of Jesus announced that at this upcoming Bible Seminar, lectures on the Book of Revelation will be given on broader and more diverse topics than in previous lectures.

◆Chairman ManHee Lee, who is over 90 years old, will give an ‘eye-catching’ lecture

The lecturer is Chairman ManHee Lee, who despite being over ninety years old, will be going on a domestic lecture tour again following the first half of the year. The reason why Chairman Lee can directly testify based on the Bible is because, as stated in Revelation 22:8 and 16, 'I followed Jesus' command to convey to the churches what I saw and heard as the messenger promised by Jesus.'

On the 7th and 11th, Chairman Lee will speak in Seoul and Daejeon, respectively, under the theme of 'The Fulfilment of Revelation', on the 14th in Daegu under the theme of 'Betrayers, Destroyers and Saviour', and on the 21st in Busan under the theme 'The Reality of the Promised Shepherd at the Second Coming'. On the 28th, in Gwangju, a lecture will be given clearly on the theme of '144,000 who will be saved and the great multitude in white', including the prophecies of the entire book of Revelation, the three key mysteries of the book of Revelation, as well as their fulfilled realities.

In September 2011, Chairman Lee shocked the religious world by holding the first Bible Seminar for the whole of South Korea at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul. It was then held in 2012 and 2013, and six years later, in 2019, about 1300 people, including about 300 pastors from established denominations, gathered for the Bible Seminar, attracting great attention from the religious community. In 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic, an online sermon was held, and Chairman Lee's lecture was broadcast around the world, garnering attention not only domestically but also overseas.

Earlier this year, at the request of local pastors in the Philippines, a Bible Seminar held at the Shangri-La Plaza Cinema Hall in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, with about 1200 pastors in attendance. The Bible Seminar, held in the first half of this year (April to July), was attended by a total of 14,000 people, including 1500 pastors from the established denominations, and attracted attention as its main target audience was 'domestic pastors.'

◆Great response from pastors, 8555 churches in 80 countries sign MOU for Bible teaching

When Chairman Lee testified in detail about the fulfilment of the Book of Revelation, many pastors responded by saying, “This is a completely different message from what is taught in the established Church,” and “It's surprising that there was no worldly teaching or speculation.” They expressed their desire to allow pastors and church members around them to experience the Word. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted after the Bible Seminar held simultaneously in 12 regions across the country on July 22nd. When 6800 people, including 830 pastors, were asked, ‘Are you willing to participate in the next Shincheonji Bible Seminar or follow-up training?’ 68.9% and 74%, respectively, answered ‘yes.’ When asked whether they would recommend the Bible Seminar to their family or acquaintances, 55.3% responded ‘yes.’

Such popularity soon led to the signing of an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) between established denominations and Shincheonji Church of Jesus. As of the end of September, there were 8555 churches in 80 countries that had signed an MOU with Shincheonji Church of Jesus. In addition, among the 1500 domestic pastors who have attended the Bible Seminar held so far, 282 pastors are taking classes at the Zion Christian Mission Centre, and 5069 pastors from overseas are taking the classes.

An official from Shincheonji Church of Jesus said, “There is a growing movement in the religious community to let go of past standards and prejudices and become one within the Bible, which is the essence of faith,” and added, “Significant MOU signings have already occurred overseas.” He said, “I expect that the signing of an MOU and shared growth will accelerate domestically as well.”

Anyone can participate in the Shincheonji Bible Seminar, including pastors, seminarians, and religious people, and participation is free.
