Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Seoul, opens 'Street Photo Exhibition' in sub-zero weather
[Cheonji Daily = Reporter Yeon-sook Song] Shincheonji Church of Jesus Seoul Church held a 'Street Photo Exhibition' near Nowon and Hyehwa Stations from the 1st and displayed various aspects of Shincheonji Church to the citizens through a photo exhibition, which will run until the end of February.
Along the way, various photos including the graduation ceremony, We Are One, Shincheonji Volunteer Group, and Zion Christian Mission Center were displayed. Among them was the '100,000 Graduation Photo' that particularly attracted the attention of citizens.
A citizen who watched the photo exhibition said, “Through the photo exhibition, I felt the sheer magnitude of the Shincheonji graduation ceremony.”
Another citizen said, “There's been a negative perception of Shincheonji,” and “But looking at photos like these, that could be a misunderstanding.” He added, “If one does good deeds like these, the day will come when people's thoughts will change.”
An official from Shincheonji Church of Jesus' Seoul Church handed out warm tea and hot packs to the citizens who were watching in the cold weather, expressing their gratitude.
A citizen who watched the photo exhibition showed interest in where Shincheonji Church is located.
An official of the Seoul church said, “We are informing the citizens of the excitement of the '100,000 Graduation Ceremony' through the street photo exhibition.”
Meanwhile, Shincheonji Church of Jesus has been holding an annual graduation ceremony for students who have completed the introductory, intermediate, and advanced courses for up to nine months through the Zion Christian Mission Center, a free Bible education institution, since 1991, the early days of its foundation.
In 2019, Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) in Goyang held a graduation ceremony for 103,764 students, and in 2020 and 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 20,000 graduates were produced each year. Last year, Daegu Stadium produced 106,186 graduates.
