[Cheonji Ilbo = Reporter Sukyung Kang] Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Chairman Man-hee Lee) held its first face-to-face graduation ceremony after the COVID-19 pandemic on the 20th November and produced 106,186 graduates. For the graduates of Class 113, the ratio of pastors compared to the previous graduation ceremony increased. A total of 522 pastors, 37 in Korea and 485 overseas, completed the Bible study course in an environment of online learning due to COVID-19. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Shincheonji Church of Jesus released educational material via YouTube. As an environment was created in which students could take classes without being conscious of others, the number of pastors and seminary students increased rapidly.
Jeong-wook Heo, who presented his graduation testimony on the same day, is a second-generation incumbent pastor. Having served as a minister for 20 years, he said, “I only learned traditional theology at seminary, but I didn’t know much about the Book of Revelation. Omitting the more difficult passages, I only taught the congregation members scriptures that are easy to convey. I repent for being a sinner who added to and subtracted from the word of God.” He said, “I laid aside everything I knew and came forward to the truth. I learned the real theology that leads to heaven, not human teachings, and have completed my studies. I thank God for giving me another chance at life.” What follows is the full text of Mr. Jeong-wook Heo's graduation speech made at the graduation ceremony.
“During my years in ministry, I witnessed many things in the religious world. Although I felt bitter about the corruption and unlawfulness that is prevalent in the Korean Protestant Church, I shut my eyes as if it were someone else's business. After living as a blind pastor for 20 years, something happened and my eyes were opened: I met the word from Shincheonji, which has the greatest truth in humanity! I am truly grateful to God for giving me another chance at life. I was the most blind of all, leading the faithful into the pit because I did not even properly understand John 1:1!
I would like to take this opportunity to say something to the pastors. Pastors, what do we really need to teach our congregations? Neither the testimony of the prophecies nor the fulfilled realities of the new covenant, which we must know in this age, exist in the churches on this earth. There is no word of God's eternal life to feed our congregations! Where will the believers who seek understanding and are hungry go? The departing congregations are flocking to Shincheonji! We can only admit that Shincheonji, which bears witness to the events of betrayal, destruction, and salvation, is the sole place of salvation where God is! Let's sign an MOU with Shincheonji, which has mastered the New Covenant and the Book of Revelation, and let's become one!
The congregations who have left their churches, which are void of the truth, are right here! Of the 106,186 graduates harvested with the seed of God gathered here, every graduate has evangelised at least one person, so can you imagine how many more will complete this course next year? Please see the reality of the Bible right in front of your very eyes!
