What is the True Meaning of the 'Two Seeds' in Jeremiah 31:27? (Shincheonji Church)
📰The Bible is one of the best-selling and most widely distributed books in history, yet it is also considered to be among the least understood. The Bible, which is referred to as the New Covenant and Promise of God, in which 'the way to heaven and salvation' is presented, differs in theologians' interpretations that make it difficult to understand. These differing interpretations have been the cause of the rise of denominations with each one establishing their own doctrine. With the increase in online church services and gatherings resulting from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, there has been growing interest in the comparison of various church doctrine. This paper, therefore, attempts to provide readers with the opportunity to compare differing Biblical teachings without interpretation. Among a host of online sermons and Bible-based teachings, the contrasting doctrine between the established Church and Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which has drawn public interest throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, is hereby compared and summarised. Best efforts have been made to provide a summary of Shincheonji Church of Jesus' understanding of the Bible. Judgment as to what is right or wrong is left to the reader’s discernment.

Firstly, let's look at the background in which the two seeds were sown. All those born of the seed of the genes of the sinner Adam broke the covenant with God in every era by betraying God. God planned to create a new kingdom and new people of God that would never betray but live eternally with Him, by creating children born not of the seed of Adam, but of God.
Roughly 2600 years ago, God came to the prophet Jeremiah and promised to do a new work, which was the sowing of the seed of man and the seed of animal in the houses of Israel and Judah, and the making of a new covenant (Jer. 31:22, 27, 31). This promise was fulfilled when God came to Jesus at the first coming 600 years later. Jesus sowed one of these two seeds.
Jesus spoke about the secrets of heaven in parables. In Matthew 13, Jesus said that heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. It was Jesus, the Son of Man, who sowed the good seed.
The good seed that Jesus sowed is the seed of the Word. As recorded, this word from the beginning is God, and it is life and light, and the heavens and earth are created through this word (John 1:1~4). Jesus said that the one who receives the word of God, which is the seed of this word, becomes a child of God (John 10:35, Acts 17:29).
Where is the field where the seed of the word was sown? It is called the world (Matthew 13:38), and this field is the field of Jesus, which is the church of Jesus. In the parable, it is written that as people were sleeping, the enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and left. It is written that the field where the good seed and tares (weeds) are sown is one and the same. At that time, Jesus said that the enemy who sows the weeds is the devil. At the time of the first coming, the reality of this 'enemy' was the scribes and Pharisees controlled by the devil. The tares, or weeds, that they sowed were the words of the devil, which are lies.
Jesus said that these two seeds are sown in one field and grow together until the time of harvest, at which point the weeds are tied in bundles to be burnt. Being tied down to one's field is evidence that one is born of the seed of the devil, and what is harvested is evidence of one being born of the seed of God. One becomes the son of God, and the other becomes the son of the devil.
When will this promised harvest fulfil and appear in reality? Who are those who harvest, and what is their outcome? The harvest takes place at the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels (Matthew 13:39). In Matthew chapter 24, there is the promised work of harvest in which, after the sun, moon and stars darken and fall, Jesus and his angels call His chosen ones through the sound of a trumpet. This can be understood through Revelation chapter 6 which records the end of spiritual Israel, where the sun, moon and stars darken and fall due to the betrayal and destruction of the chosen people. This is the event spoken of at the end of the age, which is the time of harvest that Jesus spoke of.

After this, Jesus and His angels harvest those born of God's seed. These harvested people are then sealed with the Word to create a new kingdom and people of God. These are the 12 tribes of spiritual new Israel, the 144,000 who are sealed with the word of Revelation who become the new kingdom and priests of God. After this, an uncountable number of people dressed in white clothes, washed from sin by the blood of Jesus, come out from every nation. The 144,000 sealed people and the multitude in white become the realities of people who are born of the good seed and harvested at the end of the age.
As is recorded in Revelation 14, the place where the people born of the seed of faith are harvested to is Mt. Zion, where the ripened firstfruits gather. This is the new kingdom of God that is created at the Second Coming of the Lord.
However, the devil's children, who are the weeds, are tied in bundles and remain in their church.
In Revelation chapters 17 and 18, it is recorded that all nations fall with the maddening wine of adultery that has destroyed all nations. This is the devil's doctrine of lies, and the seed of weeds (tares) tied in bundles in their field through Satan's pastor who sows the weeds. The pastor who prevents the harvest from coming is tied in bundles and a pastor who belongs to Satan. These are the wild grapes that are trampled on in the winepress of God's wrath in Revelation 14 who become the reality of the weeds who will be judged (Rev. 14:19-20).

The results of the two seeds sown are the sons of heaven who are reborn and harvested with the seed of God, and the sons of hell who are not harvested and remain belonging to the seed of the devil.
