#ShincheonjiChurch #BibleSeminar #Revelation #OpenRevelation #OpenBibleSeminar #Harvest #Jesus_Secondcoming
Shincheonji Church of Jesus continued to shine the light with its most recent ‘Open Bible Seminar on the Second Coming and Harvest’ hosted to an audience of 3000 pastors, theology students, seminarians and people of all faiths and none in the main auditorium and hallway of Shincheonji Church’s Andrew Tribe Training Institute in Dong district, Busan, on 26th October. The purpose of the nationwide seminar is to testify about the promise of Jesus’ second coming, as recorded in the New Testament of the Bible - specifically the book of Revelation - and the promised harvest, which have both appeared in reality today.

To accommodate the huge demand of 30,000 seminar registrations, Shincheonji Church of Jesus has been opening its branch churches to livestream its seminars, whilst also livestreaming on YouTube and Naver TV (links below). Large numbers are gathering today in response to a desire for ‘truth’ in an age of increasing secularism and deep despondency with the established church in Korea.

The opening seminar - held in Seoul on 4th October to an audience of 3000 who had gathered through word of mouth, residential leaflets, newspaper advertisements and online correspondence - was followed by seminars in Incheon (2000), Daejeon (3000) and Daegu (2000). In Busan, 1000 were seated in the main auditorium with a further 2000 watching live from Lotte Hotel Busan Crystal Ballroom.
The seminar in Busan began with traditional Korean music performance, band performance and a time of praise. Then, as with all seminars, Man Hee Lee, chairman of Shincheonji Church of Jesus and Jesus’ promised messenger (pastor), who has seen and heard all the promised events at the location of the events, began to testify the word of the Bible (refer to Revelation 22:8, 16). He exposed the decrepit condition of religion, saying, “Believers in Christianity, Buddhism, and Confucianism fall into their own thoughts and ruin, and do not perceive the present era. Everyone wants to go to heaven, but there is such little understanding about heaven because many Christians do not live a life of faith inside the Bible, but outside of it.” Chairman Lee emphasised the importance of discerning one's Biblical teachings, saying: “In the Bible, after King Solomon betrayed God by worshipping gentile gods, Israel was destroyed by Satan. Today the whole world is drunk with the 'maddening wine'. Therefore, we must listen to the voice of God and decide whether we’ll live a life of faith inside God or outside in the world.” Chairman Lee concluded his one-hour sermon saying that the book of Revelation, which records the mysteries of the Bible, contains a promise which people must believe in when the fulfilment of that promise appears. One can then become a child of God and is qualified to enter heaven.

These are some of guests’ testimonies shared following the seminar in Busan:-

Mr. Joh|Pastor of a Presbyterian church in Busan
He said emphatically, “To be frank, I thought that Shincheonji Church of Jesus preyed on other churches. However, I also thought that if Shincheonji Church of Jesus did indeed do this, then it must possess some powerful and clear ‘truth’. So I knocked on the doors of Shincheonji Church of Jesus with conviction. It’s now time for Korean churches to repent. Common people think ‘repentance’ is just asking forgiveness for their sins, but it’s not. It’s actually changing their own thoughts.”

Mrs. Choi|Devoted 20-year Catholic
“One day while cleaning my son’s room, I found lots of white clothes. So I searched his room and found materials belonging to Shincheonji Church of Jesus. I googled the name because I wanted to know what religion he believes in, and I found out it is a cult. So I came in person because I wanted to listen to and distinctively verify the words of the chairman. As I listened, he explained the Bible very well through the Bible alone, which is very different from the church I’ve been attending. I thought that ‘believing is salvation’ but I realized how important the word is. I heard that he will also host an Open Bible Seminar in Gwangju, so I will unhesitatingly encourage people to come and listen to him.”

Mr. Kim
(As he frowned) “I heard that Shincheonji Church of Jesus carries out coercive conversion programs, but it turns out that the established churches lied and made false reports to block people from going to Shincheonji Church of Jesus. I’ve been unknowingly persecuting Shincheonji Church of Jesus by listening to what other people say. I realize that I must possess faith with the correct knowledge.”

Ms. Park
“Today I have finally understood why so many young people go to Shincheonji Church of Jesus. It was amazing to see the whole Bible, especially the Book of Revelation which I have always wondered about, testified clearly. I will apply for their follow-up course and learn the Bible.”

To date, roughly 700 pastors have attended the five seminars. It is no small matter to hear pastors in South Korea speak positively about the Open Bible Seminar because many pastors are known to add their own interpretation to the book of Revelation and teach it to their congregation members. According to the Bible, one will not attain salvation by doing so (see Revelation 22:18-19).

The seminar in Daegu concluded with an explanation of the practice of ‘coercive conversion’; a vile programme implemented by many pastors throughout Korea that forces believers of minority denominations to convert their faith through abduction which, in the worst case, has resulted in murder. To date, two women - both believers at Shincheonji Church of Jesus - were killed through this 'coercive conversion' programme and over 1300 believers have fallen victim to it.

Following the seminar, participants registered for Shincheonji Church of Jesus’ free Bible study course where they can gain a deeper understading of God's plan and purpose for their life and the world. God promises to create a world without death, crying, mourning or pain (Revelation 21:3-4).

If you also have questions about God and life, wonder why your prayers are unanswered, the reason for birth, ageing, sickness and death, Jesus' second coming or want to understand the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, you can also register your interest for Shincheonji Church of Jesus’ free online Bible Study Course, delivered by experienced lecturers

It is no exaggeration to say that Shincheonji Church of Jesus is the only place that possesses the truth of the Bible and the path to heaven and salvation. It will continue to spread the truth of the Bible through the upcoming final seminar in Gwangju and through their online and offline Bible study courses so that all people everywhere can come and learn this greatest truth without cost.

After the final seminar in Gwangju, the 12 tribe leaders and branch church leaders of Shincheonji Church of Jesus will host their own seminar within their respective regions in Korea.

Founded in 1984, Shincheonji Church of Jesus (full name ‘Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony’) has been growing by 20-30,000 members yearly over the last five years, but is expected to grow by a staggering 100,000 members in 2019 alone. The reason for its explosive growth is that Shincheonji church is promised in the Bible. ‘Shin-cheon-shin-ji’ (in full) translates from Korean into 'New Heaven New Earth', which is promised to appear in Revelation 21 as the place where God will end all death, mourning, crying and pain. It is named ‘The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony’ because it is where the plain testimony (evidence) of the promised events in Revelation are explained through one person, who is Jesus’ promised messenger (pastor) who has seen and heard all the promised events at the location of the events (see Revelation 22:8, 16). Man Hee Lee, chairman of Shincheonji Church of Jesus and Jesus’ promised messenger, is making this known to people throughout South Korea, according to the promise of the Bible.

The fourth of the six of Shincheonji Church of Jesus’ Open Bible Seminar on ‘The Second Coming and Harvest’ was held on the afternoon of 25th October in the convention hall of Daegu Hotel Inter Burgo, Republic of Korea (South Korea). The purpose of the nationwide Open Bible seminar is to testify about the promise of Jesus’ second coming, as recorded in the New Testament of the Bible (specifically the book of Revelation), and the promised harvest, both of which have appeared in reality today.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus’ Open Bible Seminar opened earlier this month in Seoul to an audience of 3000 who had gathered through word of mouth among family and friends, residential leaflets, newspaper advertisements and online correspondence. Following seminars were held in Incheon and Daejeon to audiences of 2000 and 3000, respectively. Most recently, a further 2000 gathered in Daegu. To accommodate 30,000 people who had registered for the Open Bible Seminar, Shincheonji Church of Jesus, as in all prior seminars, opened the doors of its branch church in Daegu and neighbouring Gumi, Pohang, Andong, Gyeongju and Gyeongbuk to livestream the seminar, as well as providing real-time broadcasting on large-sized video vehicles in Dongseong-ro, Beomeo Station and Dongdaegu Station.

As in previous seminars, the seminar in Daegu was delivered by Man Hee Lee, chairman of Shincheonji Church of Jesus and Jesus’ promised messenger (pastor) who has seen and heard all the promised events at the location of the events (refer to Revelation 22:8, 16). In an era where believers often neglect the Bible in favour of their pastor’s teachings, Chairman Lee said: “We must believe in the Bible, not in the words of men. We must believe in and verify the word of God for ourselves. One must check whether one is truly saved and whether there is a place one must go to find salvation.”

Chairman Lee went on to explain the role of the promised messenger: “I am the messenger sent by Jesus who has seen, heard and am testifying Revelation. I ate the opened book in Revelation 10 to preach it, in the same way that Jesus ate the opened scroll of Ezekiel 3 to testify to the rebellious people."

Chairman Lee delivered the purpose of God: “In the book of Revelation, the first heaven and first earth (traditional churches) pass away and those born of God's seed are harvested out of there to create the new heaven and new earth (new kingdom and new people) where God will come. God's purpose is to create a new kingdom and new people born of His seed."

These words are sweet to the heart for some, and testing for others, in an era of spiritual decay among the Christian and religious world.

Guests across all four seminars have been pastors, seminarians, theology students, Christians and people of little or no faith across all ages. Roughly 500 pastors attended the four seminars. These are some of their thoughts shared following the seminar in Daegu:-

Mr. Soo-hyun Lee (Pastor of the Presbyterian Church)
“We've seen a lot of young people join Shincheonji church. I'm amazed at the depth of their Biblical knowledge and correct interpretation. I also want to study."

Mrs. Jung-hee Na (Deacon of the Presbyterian Church)
"There are more anecdotes preached at my church than there is the word. It was good to only hear the word here. I will study the word with my husband and son.”

Mrs. Kim (A Presbyterian from Daegu)
“Many people say that Shincheonji Church of Jesus is a cult so I wanted to listen to the word it teaches for myself. It is not a cult whatsoever. I’ve always been thirsty for the word, and I was so touched by the chairman’s explanation of the parable of heaven through the four fields. My pastor talks about secular things more than the words of the Bible during his sermon. It was so good to only hear the word in Shincheonji Church of Jesus. Pastors of the established church refer to a book when they preach, yet the chairman of Shincheonji Church of Jesus never turned to any book and just spoke the words of the Bible. It was wonderful and I’ve received much grace. My husband and son, who are both believers, responded positively when they heard that I was going to the Open Bible Seminar of Shincheonji Church of Jesus. Moving forwards, I will study the word here and also evangelise my family.”

This is refreshing and hopeful to hear in an era when the church in Korea and outside has divided into thousands of denominations and teachings. Moreover, many pastors in Korea add their own interpretation to the true meaning of Revelation which they then teach to their congregation members. This steers them and their congregation members away from the path of heaven and salvation. According to Jesus' words, one must not add or take away from the true meaning of Revelation (refer to Revelation 22:18-19). God’s purpose is for all people - regardless of title - to come to a knowledge of the truth.

Following every seminar, participants registered for Shincheonji Church of Jesus’ free Bible study course to learn God's plan and purpose for their life and the world. This comes into reality in Revelation 21:3-4 where God promises to create a world without death, crying, mourning or pain.

If you also have questions about God and life, wonder why your prayers are unanswered, the reason for birth, ageing, sickness and death, Jesus' second coming or want to understand the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation, you can also register your interest for Shincheonji Church of Jesus’ free online Bible Study Course, delivered by experienced lecturers.

Next month, 100,000 people, who have already completed the Bible study, will graduate into Shincheonji Church of Jesus and shine the light in our darkened world. Shincheonji Church of Jesus is the only place that possesses the truth of the Bible and the path to heaven and salvation. Shincheonji Church of Jesus will continue to spread the truth of the Bible through these seminars and their Bible study courses so that all people can come and learn the truth without cost. After the final two seminars in Busan and Gwangju, the 12 tribe leaders and branch church leaders of Shincheonji Church of Jesus will host their own seminar within their respective regions in Korea.

On the morning of 18th October, Shincheonji Pohang Church held a press conference at Philos Hotel Pohang, Republic of Korea (South Korea), to expose the corrupt behaviour of the Christian Council of Korea (CCK) as it continues to slander Shincheonji church with groundless accusations about its Bible teachings while the CCK repeatedly avoids engaging in open dialogue about its own Bible teachings.

In recent years, Shincheonji church has sent invitations to the CCK to engage in an Open Bible forum to help Koreans discern the correct understanding of the Bible in an objective and impartial way, thereby addressing the false accusations made against Shincheonji church by the CCK. Earlier this year, in the other side of the country in Cheonan, CCK Cheonan responded to Shincheonji church's invitation and agreed to engage in a local Open Bible forum. Although discussions began well on 22nd June, as New Testament topics of discussion for the forum were agreed, CCK Cheonan later pulled out of discussions, claiming that Shincheonji church had not met their demands.

In Pohang, even though Shincheonji Pohang has sent out four invitations (May 23rd, June 26th, July 10th and July 22nd) to CCK Pohang to engage in a local Open Bible forum, CCK Pohang ignored the invitation and even held their own press conference at Pohang City Hall on October 10th claiming that Shincheonji church had failed to commit to an Open Bible forum. Moreover, CCK Pohang formed a 'Pohang Disclosure Forum' composed of several local Christian groups and organisations, including a private Christian university, with Mrs. Choi (55) as its head.

Shincheonji Pohang’s press conference also urged for a more pressing matter; a ban on the CCK’s vile ‘coercive conversion’ practice, which has robbed two young women of their lives and continues to separate thousands of families. ‘Coercive conversion’ was established by the CCK - an organisation of Korean churches founded on the Presbyterian doctrine in 1989 - and it is implemented by pastors affiliated to the CCK. Such so-called ‘pastors’ target believers from up-and-coming churches by deceiving their families into believing that their loved one has joined a cult. Upon the pastor’s counsel, families then feed their loved ones sleeping pills and abduct them to a remote location where they are robbed of their phones, handcuffed, and subjected to physical and psychological abuse until they renounce their religious beliefs and consent to receiving the CCK’s Presbyterian ‘conversion education’. To date, there have been upwards of 1500 known cases of 'coercive conversion', largely committed against young believers in their late teens and 20s, in South Korea; a supposedly democratic country which enshrines religious freedoms within its constitution (article 20 states 'all citizens enjoy freedom of religion'). The recent death of Ji-In Gu in January 2018 led to worldwide rallies and a public outcry from the United Nations who called for a shutdown of the CCK and punishment for coercive conversion pastor. Yet the Korean government has not issued a single statement about this. Perhaps as shocking is the fact that CCK pastors, have received 12,000 sentences for crimes including burglary, drink-driving and sexual assault.

Shincheonji church has been strongly advocating for punishment of these pastors, a ban on coercive conversion and a shutdown of the CCK. The aforementioned Mrs. Choi of 'Pohang Disclosure Forum' was recently found guilty of kidnap, detainment and assault by the District Prosecutors' Office in Daegu for having forcibly converted Shincheonji church youth through the ‘coercive conversion’ programme. Who is the real cult?

A representative of Shincheonji church said, “Recently, Shincheonji Church of Jesus has been successfully hosting a nationwide seminar. More than 8000 people attended seminars in Seoul, Incheon and Daejeon with total registration from over 15,000 people. Shincheonji Church of Jesus is committed to engaging in discussion with other churches at any time. If CCK Pohang wishes to engage in Bible discussion with Shincheonji, then one of their pastors who possesses sound theological grounding should present clear rules of discussion without confusion. We would welcome this at any time."

At Shincheonji Pohang press conference, Ms. Yu-jung Kim (24), a victim of ‘coercive conversion’, spoke movingly: “Since childhood, I have suffered verbal abuse and assault from my parents. When I went to Shincheonji church, I found my life's purpose and hope, and healing after what my family did. That's when brainwashing began. My mother mustered all her effort and forced me to leave school. One evening, she abducted me. My eyes were masked and my hands and feet tied up as I remained in secluded lodgings in Gapyeong for a period of 13 days. I lost my sanity."

This is the disturbing reality of Christianity in South Korea in 2019. The international community has become increasingly vocal on 'coercive conversion'. After the death of Ji-In Gu in January 2018, 221 US media channels, including ABC, publicised her death, which led to reports of large-scale human rights movements in Korea and abroad. In August 2019, at a ministerial conference at the US State Department building, it was officially pointed out that Korea is the only democratic country where forced conversion is tolerated. Fifteen major international NGOs have since written letters to President Moon Jae-in, calling for the eradication of 'coercive conversion'.

A report published by Shincheonji church shows that 'coercive conversion' has caused two deaths, 682 cases of sleeping pills, 861 assaults, 1221 abductions, 1293 forced signatures for 'conversion education', 1338 forced absences from school or work, 43 cases of divorce, and two deaths. The report also cites there being a total of 1507 reported victims of 'coercive conversion'. At present, about 30 people in Pohang city are currently experiencing forced absences from school or work because of 'coercive conversion'. As this article goes out, there are hundreds of people suffering silently throughout South Korea because of their religious beliefs.

The third of the six of Shincheonji church's nationwide Open Bible seminars was held in Daejeon, Republic of Korea (South Korea) on 17th October. The purpose of Shincheonji church's “Open Bible Seminar: The Second Coming and Harvest” is to make known Jesus’ second coming (fulfilment of the book of Revelation) and the promised harvest recorded in the New Testament of the Bible. The opening seminar was delivered to an audience of roughly 3000 guests in Seoul (nearly half of whom were pastors and theology students), followed  by a second in Incheon to an audience of 2000. The third seminar was delivered to an audience of 2000 people at Yuseong Hotel, Daejeon, on 17th October.
The speaker was Chairman Lee, who is the promised pastor of the New Testament and chairman of Shincheonji church. He opened by posing the questions, "Who am I in the Bible? Have I been created according to the Bible? What is the true faith that God acknowledges?"

Speaking on the theme 'God's Creation and Promise of a "New Thing"', chairman Lee said that the Jesus' promise recorded in the book of Revelation is being fulfilled today as Jesus is doing the work of harvest with his angels. Chairman Lee explained, “God prophesied the sowing of the two seeds (words) through the prophet Jeremiah, and then fulfilled this through Jesus Christ 2000 years ago. It's at the time of the Lord's return, which is the harvest, when those born of the seed of God will be gathered to create God's new nation and new people."

Chairman Lee continued, “The field where Jesus' words have been sown for the last 2000 years is the Church (Christian world). Those who are born of God's seed are harvested from this field, while those born of the devil's seed will remain. However, those who are not harvested is evidence that they are not born of God's seed."

Chairman Lee, who is Jesus' promised messenger taught about Revelation which he has witnessed every step (see Revelation 22:8, 16). He said, "In the book of Revelation, the first heaven and first earth- that is, the traditional church - passes away, and people born of God's seed are harvested from there to create the new heaven and new earth, which is a new kingdom and new people. It is at that place where God will return. It is God's purpose to create a new kingdom and a new people born of His seed."

Chairman Lee added, “One must ask oneself whether one has been created according to the promise of the Bible and possess true faith based on the Bible that God can acknowledge.”

A representative of Shincheonji church said, “Although we had seating for 3000 in the hotel, we received interest from more than 5000 people, including many pastors and seminarians. To accommodate demand, we opened our neighouring branch churches in Daejeon, Cheongju, Cheonan, Gongju, Seosan, and Asan and live-streamed the seminar there. We also deployed live large-scale vehicles at Cheongju Musimcheon Sports Park and Cheonan Terminal so that more believers could watch the seminar. We received huge interest from pastors, seminarians and believers who were unable to attend the seminar in person."

After the seminar, thousands of people registered their interest in Shincheonji church's 'follow-up' six-month intensive Bible study which provides an in-depth study of the entire Bible that covers the book of Revelation.

Some pastors gave feedback post-seminar, saying: “I feel blessed to have received today's teaching on the book of Revelation according to the logic of prophecy and fulfilment”, “I was enlightened by the words of the chairman,” and "the chairman's words were so clear. I now have a much more positive view of Shincheonji church." Seminarians also spoke positively, saying, “I had questioned the teaching of Shincheonji church, but through today's Open Bible Seminar, I was able to discover my faith and learn how I can lead my ministry in the future. At this time when scepticism about the church is at its peak, we need to look for ways to strengthen our belief in God and in the words of the Bible. Faith has unknowingly shaped our history with the usage of 'AD' and 'BC' to dictate time. I hope many more people will come to Shincheonji church's seminar to understand this word of truth."
Indeed, Chairman Lee is determined that every effort be made for all people to hear about the fulfillment of the book of Revelation today.

Shincheonji church's next stop on its nationwide tour will be Daegu (25th 19:00), followed by Busan (26th 14:00) and Gwangju (2nd November 14:00). All seminars will be livestreamed through Shincheonji church's official website (UTC+9 time zone). Click here⇨http://scj.so/bibleseminar

Shincheonji church (full name ‘Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony’) was founded in 1984 and is an abbreviation of 'Shin-cheon-shin-ji', which is 'New Heaven New Earth'; God's promised new kingdom and new people recorded in the Bible.
Shincheonji church has been delivering its nationwide tour “Open Bible Seminar: The Second Coming and Harvest” in order to testify about Jesus’ second coming, which is the fulfilment of the book of Revelation, and the promised harvest. The seminars in Seoul (4th), Incheon (10th) and Daejeon (17th) were delivered to audiences of 3000, 2000 and 2000 people, respectively. Nearly half the guests were pastors or theology students seeking a deeper understanding of the Bible. Shincheonji church livestreamed their seminars in nearby venues to accommodate interest from tens of thousands of Koreans; of faith and without.

An overview of the eight key seminar topics
1) New Work of Creation (Jer31:22): Who am I in the Bible?
God promised to re-create people through His seed, which is His word (Luke 8:11). Therefore, only those born of God's word will know God's will

2) Rev 21:1~4 New Heaven New Earth, Am I created according to the Bible?
New Heaven New Earth is the place that God, who left after Adam betrayed (Genesis 6:3), promises to return to and wipe away all death, mourning, crying and pain

3) Am I born of the seed of God or of the evil one? Let's find out!
The seed is the word (Luke 8:11). Jesus said that the devil would sow his seed in Jesus' field (church). Discerning between these two seeds is the diffeence between heaven and hell

4) Betrayal, Destruction, Salvation. Understand each and their reality
One of the mysteries of the Bible. God always does the work of salvation

5) On whom does the blood of Jesus, promised on the night of Passover, take effect?
Luke 22:14-20 → Rev 5:9-10 → Rev chap 7 → Rev 12:7-11
Jesus' blood was shed 2000 years ago to purchase the people of New Heaven and New Earth. Its value is immeasurable

6) Can you enter heaven even after distorting Revelation?(Rev 22:18~19)
God only acknowledges teachers who follow the word and do not add their own thoughts or external commentaries

7) Do you have rooted belief? (Luke 18:8) Be re-born and leave the way of Israel's shepherds and believers
Jesus asked his disciples whether he would find faith when he returns. What will the condition of Christianity and the churches be like when he returns?

8) Leave the elementary teachings and go onto maturity (Heb 6:1-2): Where Prophecy is fulfilled
Apostle Paul told us to move beyond elementary teachings. We need to believe in the fulfilment of the promises Jesus Christ made in the four Gospels and book of Revelation to possess mature faith

Post-seminar, thousands have registered their interest in Shincheonji church's 'follow-up' free six-month intensive Bible study at their Zion Mission Center, which provides an in-depth study of the entire Bible, including the book of Revelation.

Shincheonji church will continue its nationwide tour in Daegu (25th 19:00), Busan (26th 14:00) and Gwangju (2nd November 14:00). All seminars will be livestreamed through Shincheonji church's official website (UTC+9 time zone). To watch them live, click here

Shincheonji church’s nationwide “Open Bible Seminar: The Second Coming and Harvest” was held in Seoul, Korea, on 4th October to an audience of 2000 - of whom 1000 were pastors and theology students. The second of the six seminars was then held in Songdo Central Park Hotel, Incheon, on 10th October to another audience of 2000 guests. Shincheonji church had received interest from 4000 applicants for the seminar in Incheon. To accommodate, the seminar was livestreamed in the nearby Samsan Convention Hall as well as ten churches in Incheon and neighbouring Gimpo, Bucheon, and Gwangmyeong.

The seminar opened with a  moving children’s performance, warming guests’ hearts to prepare them for the one-hour sermon on the word of God delivered by the promised pastor of the New Testament and chairman of Shincheonji church, Man Hee Lee. Chairman Lee spoke on the theme ‘God's Creation and Promise of a New Thing'. He began the sermon saying, “I stand here to make known to you the fulfillment of Revelation in God’s 6000-year work. God, who left this world, made a plan to return, and His plan will be complete when the book of Revelation is fulfilled. This is the creation of God’s promised new kingdom and new people.”

In an era where believers often neglect the Bible in favour of their pastor’s teachings, Chairman Lee stressed, “We must believe in the Bible, not in the words of men. We must believe in and verify the word of God for ourselves. One must check whether one is truly saved and whether there is a place one must go to find salvation.”

The audience, which ranged in demographic from early 20s-seniors, heard of the Open Bible seminar through word of mouth, leaflets delivered through their homes, newspaper advertisements or online correspondence. These are some of the participants' testimonies:-

Mr. Jong-cheol Jung (Pastor of the Full Gospel Church, Incheon)
“I was confident that I knew a lot about the Bible. I was moved by the chairman’s words and received much grace from him. I also want to learn this word to share it with my acquaintances. Moreover, after today’s lecture, I will tell my colleague pastors that Shincheonji Church of Jesus is not a cult or a heretical church.”

Ms. So-hyun Ki (local resident)
“Through today's seminar, I clearly understood why God's new kingdom is growing rapidly. I was impressed by the teaching on God's history and purpose through the consistency of the Old and New Testaments. We will learn more through their follow-up course.”

Mr. Dae-hoon Jeon (local resident)
"My impression of Shincheonji has completely changed through today's event. I've registered on their follow-up course."

The sermon ended with a prayer led by Chairman Lee, followed by a loud "Amen" as the audience raised their hands upwards to return all the glory to God.

After the seminar, which concluded at 9pm, 400 people registered their interest in Shincheonji church's 'follow-up' six-month intensive Bible study which provides an in-depth study of the entire Bible that covers the book of Revelation. In 2019, a staggering 100,000 people will have completed this study.

SCJ continues its nationwide tour in Daejeon tomorrow (17th October 19:00), Daegu (25th 19:00), Busan (26th 14:00) and Gwangju (2nd November 14:00). All seminars will be livestreamed through Shincheonji church's official website (UTC+9 time zone). To watch them live, click here

#CoerciveConversionDay #Victims #rememberGu #HumanRights

On 7th October 2019, Human Rights Association Against Coercive Conversion Programs (HAC) hosted a memorial in commemoration of the victims of 'coercive conversion', the late Ji-in Gu and Sun Hwa Kim in Seoul, Republic of Korea (South Korea). The memorial was purposed to raise awareness of the ongoing suffering of many believers and families torn apart by coercive conversion, and to call for eradication of the practice and for punishment of its perpetrators.

Coercive conversion is a practice established and implemented by the Christian Council of Korea (CCK), which is an organisation of churches in Korea founded on Presbyterian doctrine in 1989. Coercive conversion pastors target believers from up-and-coming church denominations by deceiving their families - often parents - into believing that their loved one has joined a cult. Upon the pastor’s counsel, families feed their loved ones sleeping pills and abduct them to a remote location where they are handcuffed and robbed of their phones. They are then subjected to physical and psychological abuse until they renounce their religious beliefs and consent to receiving Presbyterian ‘conversion education’. To date, a staggering 1300 believers (mainly in their late teens and 20s) in South Korea have been subjected to this barbaric practice. All this in a supposedly democratic country with a constitutional law which enshrines religious freedoms - article 20 stating that "all citizens enjoy the freedom of religion”.

In the worst case, coercive conversion has resulted in murder. Sun Hwa Kim was bludgeoned to death with a hammer by her ex-husband in October 2007, and Ji-In Gu was suffocated to death at the hands of her own parents on January 9th 2018 for being believers in minority churches. Following the murder of Ji-In Gu, a 120,000-strong rally hosted by HAC was held in Seoul calling on the government to intervene to ban coercive conversion, enact a law against it and punish the culprits. In February 2018, 25,000 HAC members and citizens gathered outside the HQ of the CCK and its mouthpiece, Christian Broadcasting System (CBS) in Seoul. Similar global rallies followed including in Washington D.C. and New York, leading to denunciation of the practice by the United Nations. Staggeringly, the Korean government has failed to release a single statement and the majority of the perpetrators (pastors) have gone unpunished because they label this programme 'counselling', and use victims' families to their advantage, masking their true intent for financial profit. In the last ten years, CCK pastors have received 12,000 sentences for crimes including fraud, burglary, forgery, defamation, drink-driving, arson and sexual assault.
The memorial ceremony - which received full support from Willy Fautré, director of Human Rights Without Frontiers (HRWF) - included a moving speech by the sister of late Sun Hwa Kim, who said, “To prevent the loss of another innocent life, I will spread news of your unjust death to the world and resolve our deep sorrow until the human rights abuses incurred by coercive conversion disappears." HAC spokesperson, Mr. Sang-ik Park, denounced coercive conversion and called for its end.

The hope is that the memorial will also one day give official recognition to 7th October as 'Victims of Coercive Conversion Day'.

HAC will continue to push until the government takes action. As this article goes out, over 100 believers are currently confined against their will in remote locations throughout South Korea, suffering silently.

#ShincheonjiChurch #BibleSeminar #Revelation #OpenRevelation #OpenBibleSeminar #Harvest #Jesus_Secondcoming
Bible Study Reference (Recommender) 061102

On October 4th 2019, 2000 people - including 1000 pastors & theology students - gathered in Seoul, Korea, to listen to the word of the Bible from the promised pastor of the New Testament, chairman Man Hee Lee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (hereafter 'Shincheonji church').

Shincheonji church's nationwide Open Bible Seminar has come in response to an increasing desire for Biblical truths, and has received interest from 6000 people throughout Korea. The purpose of the seminar is to testify about Jesus’ second coming (fulfilment of the book of Revelation) and the promised harvest that is finally taking place today, according to Jesus' promise in Matthew 13.

This is some of the feedback given by participants post-seminar.

Mr. Gyeongju Nah (teacher of Won-Buddhism)
"I listened very well to him speaking. It was incredible that CHJN fully explained the Bible with the words of the Bible. I've heard that CHJN is now very old, but he was so energetic and vigorous. His words about the harvest time and end time sounded good to me. I believe that we need to live a life that keeps the word of God."

Mr. Donghyeon Kim (church elder)
"To be honest, I don't know the Bible much in spite of my position as an 'Elder'. He (CHJN) explained much about Revelation, such as the 12 tribes and sealed 144,000. Yeah, I've read all of them and I know these things are in the Bible. However, he is actually carrying out these words in reality. He really is doing that. I think that this is the right thing, and I also think that I need to do a Bible study."

He added, "SCJ explained verses perfectly in a way that my church couldn't. There is a huge difference in Biblical teachings between the Presbyterian church and Shincheonji Church of Jesus, as different as the heavens are from the earth. From the beginnings of the seed to the harvest in Revelation, it was so clear."

Ms. Jimin Cho (believer from Seoul)
"I've never listened to a lecture that can explain the 6000-year story of God. The story of the seed and the harvest in our time today was shocking. I had a misconception that harvesters were cults but I was a little surprised that it has a different meaning in the Bible. I'd like to thank CHJN for sharing the word for free. (From CHJN's appearance) I could sense his desire for people to have faith in the Bible. I hope more churchgoers will listen to his words."

The second seminar in the series was held yesterday (10/10) in Incheon. Shincheonji church's Open Bible Seminar will run until November 9th 2019. Remaining seminar dates and times (UTC+9 time zone) are as follows:-
Daejeon, Oct. 16th, 19:00
Daegu, Oct. 25th, 19:00
Busan, Oct. 26th, 14:00
Gwangju, Nov. 2nd, 14:00

In separate Shincheonji-related news, a staggering 100,000 people are expected to complete an intensive six-month Bible study programme and graduate into Shincheonji church this year (2019). It is no exaggeration to say that the promise of the New Testament is being fulfilled before our eyes as multitudes flock to learn the truth of the Bible at Shincheonji church.
