Various countries are adopting numerous policies to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 as a means of limiting global warming and climate change.

In South Korea, one organisation in particular sympathises with the severity of the climate crisis and has organised a 'Carbon Neutrality Practice Encouragement Campaign' to spread the practice of carbon-neutral lifestyles. It is the Shincheonji Volunteer Group.

From April to December last year, the Seoul-Southern Gyeonggi Branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group recorded approximately 112,398 practices, playing a meaningful role in reducing carbon emissions.

During the campaign period, it has encouraged members to participate in the carbon-neutral practice points system.

The Carbon Neutral Practice Point System is a system established by the Ministry of Environment. It encourages various eco-friendly activities such as issuing electronic receipts, using tumblers and reusable cups, disposing of high-quality recyclables, and returning discarded mobile phones by issuing points that can be used like cash.

Ye-won Park (32, female), who practiced 141 times over the course of about 7 months, said, “I heard that it is not good to change coffee tumblers too often, so I am still using the one I bought 8 years ago.” She added, “Thanks to this campaign, I was able to turn what I had only thought about into actual participation.”

Meanwhile, the Seoul-Southern Gyeonggi Branch intends to continue practising carbon neutrality practices steadily in 2025 by creating an atmosphere where active steps are prioritised.

At the noon service held at the Pohang Church of the Thaddeus Tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Pohang Church), in Pohang City, North Gyeongsang Province on the 19th, ManHee Lee, the chairman of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, is entering the main Temple sanctuary
“The words on Revelation that no one in heaven or on earth has heard, seen, or known are coming forth. God and Jesus are only here, and there is salvation through the coming of heaven.”

With conviction, ManHee Lee, the chairman of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, spoke these words during his sermon given at the Sunday service held at the Pohang Church of  the Thaddeus Tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (hereinafter referred to as Shincheonji Pohang Church) on the 19th.

The 2024 Shincheonji Bible Seminar series, titled 'Testimony on the Fulfilled Realities of Revelation,' which took the religious world by storm and drew in the attendance of more than 3500 current and former pastors and hundreds of seminarians, loudly proclaimed the current era of faith; that is, the 'era of fulfilment,' in which the prophecies recorded in the Book of Revelation of the New Testament Bible are being fulfilled and appear in reality.

At the noon service held at the Pohang Church of the Thaddeus Tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Pohang Church), in Pohang City, North Gyeongsang Province on the 19th, ManHee Lee, the chairman of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, is giving the sermon

On the 19th, Chairman Lee took to the pulpit at Shincheonji Pohang Church, and to a congregation of approximately 2000 believers, Chairman Lee emphasised the importance of the Book of Revelation.

Chairman Lee cited Revelation 22:18-19, which warns not to add or subtract from the Book of Revelation, so as to attain the promised blessings of heaven.

Chairman Lee said, “Today is the time when prophecy becomes reality,” and said that now is the time of the fulfilment of the Book of Revelation when a corrupt era is ending and a new era is being created (Revelation 21), and that all true believers who are spiritually awake must be sensitive to the fulfilment of the Book of Revelation and confirm its reality.

In particular, the Chairman encouraged the congregation to remain faithful to the words of Revelation, saying, “Saints must write the New Testament Revelation in their hearts and become walking Bibles.”

As the voice of the Chairman filled the temple, the gathered saints nodded their heads and responded with a powerful “Amen.”

Congregant Jun-hyeok Park (35, male) said, “If you ask why I choose the Shincheonji faith, it is because there is a clear answer from the Bible here,” and “The fact that existing churches cannot provide answers is the most important reason why young people are flocking here.”

Meanwhile, regardless of age, from their teens to their 80s, Shincheonji Church of Jesus members have been developing the highest level of verbal skills to master the Bible and spread the way of truth to the church and society.
