Roughly 50,000 people of all faiths and none attended a nationwide Open Bible Seminar series hosted by Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of The Testimony (hereon ‘Shincheonji church’) earlier in 2019. The nationwide Open Bible Seminar sought to teach the true meaning of the Bible, based purely on the Bible, and to resolve existing misunderstandings about Shincheonji church. Content included teachings on God’s 6000-year history, the identity of the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil that appear in Genesis, the signs of the end times and the new promise recorded within the book of Revelation. Answers to the 24 questions about life posed by the late Lee Byung-chul, former CEO of Samsung, were also given.
Following on from the success of the Open Bible Seminar, further seminars have been held throughout the Republic of Korea. The most recent was held for the second time in Busan - located on the southeastern tip of the Korean Peninsula - to an audience of 250 citizens hungry for an understanding of the Bible. The seminar taught on the beginnings of Shincheonji church since its founding in March 1984 up until the present day.

Instructor Tae-hoon Kim emphasised that the head of the church is Jesus Christ and the author of the Bible is God. He said, "Shincheonji church is the place where the prophecy of Revelation is being fulfilled, as promised. This fulfilment is taking place today. Shincheonji Church of Jesus is the new heaven and new earth of Revelation 21, which God has promised to dwell." He continued, saying, "God promised that the first heaven and first earth would disappear, and that a new heaven and new earth would be created. This prophecy, promised by God since creation, is being fulfilled today through the book of Revelation. Amidst persecution by the world, it continues to spread the gospel throughout the world."

One participant, Mrs. Sun-kyung Kim, who had been invited by a family member, said, "I was deceived by peoples' false words about Shincheonji church, saying that it is a heresy and the cause of various social problems. The image of Shincheonji that I now have is not the same."

Roughly 30,000 participants (60%) who attended the nationwide Open Bible Seminar in early 2019 registered for further study at Shincheonji church’s Zion Mission Center, the Bible-teaching institute that provides a free intensive Bible study programme at one of its 300 centres worldwide. By the end of 2019, 100,000 people will have completed this course and will become congregation members of Shincheonji church. At such a rate, the number of congregation members of Shincheonji church will exceed 300,000. It is only a matter of time before large seminars are also held overseas that feed the words of the Bible. It is very hopeful.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (hereafter 'Shincheonji Church') is forecast to grow by 100,000 congregation members by the end of 2019; an extraordinary achievement by any religious institution's standard.

The rapid growth rate of Shincheonji church, which began with a handful of believers in March 1984 to over 200,000 today, is a response to peoples' deep-rooted hunger for truth in an increasingly secular and religiously confused global age. But more than this, it is also the promised church recorded in the New Testament book of Revelation, which contains the new promise believers are learning today.

As the events recorded in Revelation have been fulfilled in the Republic of Korea, it is referred to as 'Shincheonji', which is a shortened version of 'Shin-cheon-shin-ji', which translates into 'New Heaven New Earth'. This is a place where God one day promises to dwell with people without death, mourning, crying or pain (Revelation 21). It is also recorded as 'Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony' (Revelation 15:5) because it is at the Tabernacle Temple in Korea where Revelation is fulfilled, so explanation of the fulfilment can be plainly given. It is named 'Shincheonji Church of Jesus' because Jesus, and not man, is head of the church. It is, in brief, the church God and Jesus promised in the book of Revelation.

As a result, the word of the Bible taught in Shincheonji church is flawless. Shincheonji church creates ‘Bible-centered believers’, providing students with an intensive six-month Bible study programme at one of their 300 global Zion Mission Centers that covers the true meaning of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, the realities of the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in Genesis, the new covenant today, the cause and solution to sickness, ageing and death, God's will for our individual lives and God's plan to restore our broken world. It is truly hopeful. The Bible study programme ends with a 400-question exam on the Bible. Upon scoring over 90%, one graduates into Shincheonji church. It is no exaggeration to say that believers in Shincheonji church have mastered the 66 books of the Bible.

Shincheonji church is currently expanding its communication channels far and wide to allow as many people as possible, hungry for spiritual nourishment, to learn the Bible. Additionally, Zion Mission Center online lectures were opened in May 2019 which, within the first two months, had a registration of 10,589 students. Online classes in all languages will soon be made available worldwide.

At the end of 2019, Shincheonji church will shine its light to the world through its 100,000-strong graduation ceremony, bringing the total number of congregation members to 300,000. I believe many more people will come to learn the true word of the Bible in 2020.

Shincheonji Church (full name 'Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony') is a rapidly growing church. Since its establishment in March 1984, it now has over 200,000 congregation members worldwide and is forecast to grow by a whopping 100,000 people in 2019.

Following the success of Shincheonji church's Open Bible Seminar series held throughout South Korea in early 2019, which drew in a staggering 50,000 people of all faiths and none, a two-day public seminar was held at one of its 70 branches in Cheonan. The seminar provided in-depth teaching of the Book of Revelation - so often discounted by Bible teachers - on the true meaning of the sun, moon, and stars (Rv 6), the 'The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony' (Rv 15:5), the sowing of the two seeds and the harvest (Matthew 13 and Rv 14, respectively) and the controversial '666' mark of the beast (Rv 13). One citizen who participated in the seminar said, “I was surprised to find answers to the questions that have arisen every time I read the Bible.”

The purpose of this seminar in Cheonan was to educate people on the correct understanding of the Bible according to the logic of prophecy and fulfilment, and to counter the lies disseminated by many Christian groups in Korea - notably the Christian Council of Korea (CCK) - which freely label Shincheonji Church a 'cult'. The seminar was designed to help the public draw an objective conclusion on Shincheonji church's Bible teachings.

The CCK, which is rapidly falling in membership and is founded on the unBiblical teachings of John Calvin - the founder of predestination who slaughtered men, women and children who opposed his doctrine - uses the Christian media, particularly Christian Broadcasting System (CBS), as its mouthpiece to slander Shincheonji church. The CCK established and implemented a 'coercive conversion' programme that led to the deaths of two believers in 2008 and 2018, which received subsequent widespread criticism from the United Nations in New York last year. In 2018, the Supreme Court ruled in favour of Shincheonji church after CBS broadcast its documentary, 'People who fell into Shincheonji'. They were penalised with a heavy fine and ordered to retract their broadcast (which they did at 3am). From 2008-2018, pastors affiliated to the CCK have received 12,000 sentences for crimes including drink-driving, burglary, sexual assault and murder. This is the corrupt reality of mainstream Christianity in Korea today.

In an effort to address these issues, Shincheonji church has repeatedly invited the CCK to engage in public discussion on the Bible. In light of its persistent refusal to accept Shincheonji church's invitation, 1000 Shincheonji church congregation members rallied outside CCK branch churches in Cheonan city on 22nd July (Gwangmun Church, Rev. Lim Jong-won and Rev. Chun-gyeong, and Light and Salt church, Pastor Yoo Young-kwon) to pressure them into agreeing to public discussion. Shincheonji church continues to keep channels of communication open with the CCK in the hope that it will do so.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (hereafter 'Shincheonji Church') is forecast to have an intake of 100,000 new congregation members by the end of 2019; an extraordinary achievement by the standards of any institution, religious or otherwise. Such growth reflects the deep-rooted hunger for truth in an increasingly secular and religiously confused global climate.

What distinguishes Shincheonji Church from any other church? It is the promised church recorded in the Bible and, unlike all other churches, is created according to the will of God, not man.

In every era of Biblical history from Adam to the present, one era became spiritually corrupt, was put to an end and a new era then created, through a pastor promised by God (promised pastor). For example, after Adam betrayed, God put an end to Adam's people through a flood and created a new era through Noah. Noah's era then sinned through Noah's second son, Ham, and God came to Abraham and made a promise with him, which He later fulfilled through Moses and the 12 tribes of physical Israel, putting an end to the Canaanites (Noah's descendants). The 12 tribes later betrayed God under King Solomon. Through the Old Testament prophets (Isaiah-Malachi), God then promised  to send a Saviour. When Jesus came, his people (physical Israelites/Jews) did not accept him but killed him. Physical Israel was put to an end and Jesus established spiritual Israel. Today, 2000 years since Jesus left, the churches in the world have become corrupt and a new era is being created.

According to the promise of Revelation - the last book of the Bible and God's final work - today's new and final era is being created through one promised pastor in Shincheonji Church. The name 'Shincheonji' (full name 'Shin-cheon-shin-ji') translates from Korean to English as 'New Heaven New Earth', which is God's promised dwelling in Rv 21. The reason for its Korean name is because the fulfilment of Revelation began in the Republic of Korea. Shincheonji Church is also recorded as 'Tabernacle of the Covenant Law' or 'Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony' (Rv 15:5) because it provides plain testimony of all the prophecies recorded in Revelation. It is called 'Shincheonji Church of Jesus' because Jesus is the head of the church, not someone ordained by man.

Today's promised pastor is a messenger promised by Jesus who has seen and heard all the promised events of Revelation, and is making them known to the churches (Rv22:8,16). Will you listen or turn a blind eye to this reality? The Book of Revelation is being fulfilled today.

As Shincheonji Church welcomes an expected graduation of 100,000 students later this year, the eyes and ears of people in the world will surely turn to Shincheonji Church. This is God's promised, new, and final, era where God will live with His creation in a world absent of death, mourning, crying or pain (Rv 21:4). This is the hope of believers in Shincheonji Church according to the Bible's promise.

The Cheonan branch of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (hereonafter ‘Shincheonji Church’) delivered a two-day public seminar on the theme ‘spiritual blindness’ (John 9) to an audience of 300 people.

In the words of the head instructor, Mr. Min-ho Roh, the purpose of the seminar was “to provide some valuable time to understanding the true meaning of God and life through the Bible." He added, “There are many people who want to learn the Bible and resolve their questions to then share with other believers and neighbours hungering after the truth.”

Four seminars were held twice a day at 10am and 7pm.

With reference to John 9, entitled ‘Jesus Heals A Man Born Blind’, Instructor Noh taught: “In John 9, after the blind man's eyes were opened by Jesus, God revealed His will to give life to people. Those who are spiritually blind will have their spiritual eyes opened (Ephesians 1:18)." He added, “Congregation members of Shincheonji Church have the ability to open the Bible and teach anyone because the precious word of God has been revealed to them and can now be plainly understood.”

Mr. Jong-pil Lee (53), who attended the seminar, said, “Misunderstandings and lies disseminated by people all over the Internet about Shincheonji Church were a source of argument between myself and my children, who are believers in Shincheonji Church. I have been a believer for more than fifty years, but the lecture on the Old and New Testaments by Mr. Roh really quenched my thirst. I want to learn the Word.”

Instructor Noh said, “Apostle Paul, who met Jesus 2000 years ago, received the Old Testament revelation and realised that it was true. It is recorded in the Bible that he discarded all his prior knowledge (Philippians 3). I hope you will listen to the words of the four Gospels and the book of Revelation, perceive and grow into true, mature believers.”

Multitudes of people thirsty to understand the Bible are swarming to Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony ('Shincheonji Church' for short). In Shincheonji Church's most recent publication (link provided below), the number of people who have completed the church's six-month Zion Mission Centre Bible study programme for the period January-June 2019 is five times higher than it was for the same period in 2018. In 2019 alone, Shincheonji Church is expected to bring in a staggering 100,000 new congregation members. This is an unprecedented achievement, both by its 36-year history and by any church's standard. Such growth only reflects peoples' longing to have their deepest questions answered and a clear understanding of God and His will.

The difference between Shincheonji Church and any other church, or denomination, is as different as the heavens are from the earth. Most importantly, Shincheonji Church has appeared according to the promise of Revelation, not man's will. It is named the 'Tabernacle of the Covenant Law' or 'Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony' (Rv 15:5) because it has seen and heard (witnessed) all the events promised in Revelation and can, therefore, testify to them. The name 'Shincheonji' (full name Shin-cheon-shin-ji) translates from Korean to English as 'New Heaven New Earth' - God's promised dwelling in Rv 21. Shincheonji Church is 'Shincheonji Church of Jesus' because the head is Jesus Christ, not man. Moreover, Jesus promised to send a messenger on his behalf, who has seen and heard all the promised events of Revelation to make them known to the churches (Rv22:8,16). This person or 'pastor' is not ordained by man.

The hope of believers at Shincheonji Church is heaven and eternal life with God, as God promised. What is more hopeful than this?
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Rv 21:3-4)

Shincheonji Church will have a graduation of 100,000 students this year and the eyes of people in religious and secular circles will all turn their eyes and ears to it.

The efforts of Shincheonji Volunteer Group are regularly making headlines in the Republic of Korea these days. Shincheonji Volunteer Group (SVG), which belongs to Shincheonji Church of Jesus (full name ‘Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of The Testimony’), has 200,000 volunteers in 72 branches worldwide serving the local community through a range of initiatives and projects focused on environmental conservation, provision of medical aid, support for war veterans and public service campaigns. To date, 3000 people have actively served to address national blood shortage levels in Korea. A total of 60,000 volunteers worldwide directly catered to the needs of 80,000 people from January-May 2019. Beneficiaries include senior citizens (10,000), the less privileged (6000), foreign residents and workers in Korea (5000) and people with disabilities (4000).
The growth in SVG’s volunteer activity complements the sharp rise in the growth of the church congregation. Shincheonji church, which has grown by an average 20,000 people yearly in recent years, is expected to have 100,000 new congregation members by the close of 2019, totalling 300,000 congregation members. This figure is expected to increase to 500,000 members by the close of 2020. The number of people who studied the Bible at Shincheonji Church’s ‘Zion Mission Centre’ during the period January-July 2019 is five times greater than it was for the same period in 2018.
SVG provided immediate aid following the breakout of the forest fire that ravaged much of the mountainous and forested north-eastern province of Gangwon in April 2019. One of SVG's long-standing initiatives within South Korea is its ‘Wall-Painting Stories with Hope' campaign which, to date, has restored over 200,000sqm of murals in 299 locations. SVG recently provided medical aid to 500 orphaned and blind children and residents in isolated towns and villages in Vietnam. SVG’s growth, both domestically and overseas, shows no sign of restraint as the scope of its services and beneficiaries grow.

Shincheonji Volunteer Group (SVG) hosted ‘The 6th Love for All Nations and Sharing of Peace’ campaign throughout the Republic of Korea. Agreements were made with nine different groups in Seoho Park, Suwon, on the 13th of July, with those in attendance including the Korean War Veterans’ Society, faith leaders and a number of citizens from Suwon (Gyeonggi province).

The nationwide event was hosted to thank veterans who sacrificed their lives in the Korean war that broke out on 25th June 1950 (Korea commemorates June as ‘Memorial Month’) and, more importantly, to pray for peace and ensure that the Korean peninsula is reunified. SVG is working tirelessly for the reunification of the Koreas. Branch manager, Donghee Choi, said, “We will volunteer for anything that can be of help to the community and our neighbours.”

Shincheonji Volunteer Group has 200,000 volunteers in 72 branches worldwide, participating in various initiatives that support those less privileged, environmental clean-up and provision of medical aid. Shincheonji Church of Jesus (full name 'Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony') has published a one-page statement concerning the creation of the church and why it holds the only Biblical truth. The statement, dated 24th July 2019, has appeared in major national press within the Republic of Korea, including Jeonju Maeil. Photos published in the press follow the statement.

Statement
Shincheonji, Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (“Shincheonji, Church of Jesus,” “Shincheonji”) is a denomination created according to the new covenant, which God promised in the New Testament Bible. Its creation, name, and the names of the people have been created and named as promised in the New Testament Bible. Nothing was done arbitrarily on its own; everything has been done according to the commands of the heavens. Harvesting, sealing, and creating the Twelve Tribes have been done by following the commands of the Bible.

The congregation members of the Twelve Tribes of Shincheonji, Church of Jesus have a complete understanding of the prophecies in the New Testament Bible, even their entities in the reality of the fulfillment (also mastered the prophecies of the four gospels and the Book of Revelation, and their fulfillment). Among 6,000 years of the work of God, this knowledge of the Bible is the greatest Biblical knowledge in heaven and earth. It is “the most joyous way since the creation.”

Shincheonji, Church of Jesus did not bow down to or worship the Japanese gods during the Japanese colonial era in the past. We did not take our youth to the Japanese military, nor did we make or provide war supplies, or take our church bells and offer them. We, Shincheonji, did not commit any actions that were “anti-nation, anti-society, and anti-religion,” as mentioned above. Shincheonji is currently serving religion and society in many different ways through our volunteer work (refer to JoongAng Ilbo, July 23, 2019, Dong-a Ilbo, July 4, 2019, etc.).

Through the revelation from heaven, we have the knowledge of the Bible’s prophecies and their fulfillment and have thus mastered them. We are putting righteousness and justice into action. The reason countless believers are streaming to Shincheonji is that there is no word of life in their churches due to their corruption; this is why they are coming to Shincheonji to learn the Word, because that is where God and the Word are.

However, Shincheonji accepts its members only after they learn the Word for 6 months without cost, and after they pass an examination. Those who have been freed from sin through Jesus’ blood, born of God’s seed, sealed, and have become a part of the Twelve Tribes receive the hope of heaven. This is promise, faith, and salvation.

Negotiations between Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (hereon ‘Shincheonji church’) and the Christian Council of Korea (CCK) have failed to achieve their purpose. Negotiations began on 22nd June in Cheonan, Republic of Korea, with the two parties agreeing to engage in public discussion on five New Testament themes, and fixed a follow-up meeting to coordinate details of the public discussion. However, each side had different proposals regarding the method of debate with Shincheonji church seeking to use only the Bible alone while the CCK sought to use external commentaries as a way to also disprove Shincheonji church’s teachings.

The CCK, which uses Christian media - particularly Christian Broadcasting System (CBS) - as their mouthpiece to slander Shincheonji church in recent years, has grossly distorted the public’s understanding of Shincheonji church. Shincheonji church is growing explosively with 300,000 members worldwide forecast by the end of 2019 while the CCK is desperately holding on to its ecclesiastical authority as its congregation members leave their churches, once peaking at 12million to 1.8million today.

In order to expose the CCK’s continual slander and to pressure them into engaging in public discussion, 1000 Shincheonji church congregation members rallied outside CCK’s branch churches in Cheonan city on 22nd July. Shincheonji church's most recent press release in early August (link below) asserted stated, “An open forum has to be based on the words written in the Bible and not on the words of people. This is because the Bible is the standard and the foundation for believers. We also stress that slandering is not permitted.” Outside Korea, people in the United Nations and all over the world have been calling for the dismissal of the CCK for its heinous religious coercive conversion programme that violates human rights and led to the deaths of two women in Korea.

Of all the churches in the world, Shincheonji church is the only church promised in the New Testament. It is 'The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony' (Rv 15:5) because it has witnessed all the promised events of Revelation and can, therefore, give testimony about them.  It is also 'New Heaven New Earth' where God promises to return to end all mourning, death, crying and pain (Rv 21:3-4).

It is a matter of time before the CCK's lies are exposed. Shincheonji church continues to keep negotations open with the CCK in the hope that it will engage in public discussion and help the public assess the correct meaning of the Bible in an objective and impartial way.

Despite ongoing slander by the established church and affiliated media against Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (‘Shincheonji church’ for short) in the Republic of Korea, Shincheonji church is growing rapidly. Since its establishment in March 1984, the number of congregation members has grown from 120 to a current 260,000 worldwide, with the number expected to surpass 300,000 by the end of 2019 and 500,000 by the end of 2020.

The reason for such explosive growth is the fact that Shincheonji church is the promised church recorded in the New Testament of the Bible. It can, therefore, testify to the true meaning of the New Testament promise and its reality according to the five Ws and one H. It teaches solely from the Bible without any external commentaries. Moreover, Shincheonji church puts its Biblical teachings into practice through Shincheonji Volunteer Group (SVG), which has over 200,000 members worldwide serving in disaster relief, blood-giving, war veteran support, regional development, public service campaigns and, not least, peaceful reunification of the Koreas. SVG is unlike any other ‘charitable’ organisation in the sense that the love and service its volunteers give is not based only on an innate desire, but on a certain hope of a better future for all humanity without mourning, death, crying or pain (see Revelation 21:4).

It is because of the recent rapid growth of Shincheonji church that the established church and allied Christian media - particularly the Christian Council of Korea (CCK) and Christian Broadcasting System (CBS) - which are in rapid decline, have been disseminating false information. According to a press release issued by Shincheonji church on July 31st, some Christian media organisations are seeking to pressurise administrative authorities into protecting the vested rights of the established church.

Morever, in spite of several invitations made by Shincheonji Church to the CCK to engage in public discussion on the Bible, the CCK refuses to do so. Therefore, the public’s misunderstandings about Shincheonji church remain unresolved.

The sad reality of Christianity in Korea today is that pastors affiliated to the CCK have been sentenced for 12,000 crimes including fraud, burglary, forgery, defamation, drink-driving, arson and sexual assault since 2008. Within the last four years alone, 550 pastors in Seoul have received such sentences. In contrast, not a single accusation made against Shincheonji church by the CCK has been upheld by a court of law. In fact, the Supreme Court ruled in favour of Shincheonji church after CCK broadcast a false documentary entitled Those who fell into Shincheonji.

In contrast to the Christian press, several major national and regional newspapers in Korea continue to spread positive news about the growth of Shincheonji church and their various volunteer activities. They also argue that the reporting behaviour by Christian media is intentional and serves only to promote the interests of the established church in Korea.

A positive wave of interest in Shincheonji church from the general public has recently surged as a staggering 50,000 citizens, of all faiths and none, attended Shincheonji church’s Open Bible seminar held throughout the country. Shincheonji church maintains its channels of communication open with the CCK in the hope that the CCK will agree to public discussion on the Bible.
