Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Chairman ManHee Lee), which opened the 'Shincheonji Bible Seminar, Testimony on the Fulfillment of Revelation' in Seoul, Korea, last April, held subsequent seminars on the same theme in Busan, Daejeon, Incheon, Gwangju, and Daegu, which are major cities across Korea. After that, a seminar was held in Korea's largest island, Jeju Island.
On the 16th, the Andrew tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus (Tribe leader Youngno Lee) held a Bible seminar at the Ramada Plaza Jeju Hotel under the theme of ‘Revealing the Fulfilled Reality of Revelation, the New Covenant’. The event was broadcast live around the world via the official YouTube channel of Shincheonji Church of Jesus.
Yeong-no Lee, the head of the tribe, first explained the background of the Shincheonji Bible Seminar: “There is a shepherd (pastor) who sees, hears, and conveys the prophecies and fulfilled realities of the war recorded in the Book of Revelation, and through him, we are holding the Shincheonji Bible Seminar in Jeju Island to prove that Shincheonji has been created according to the Book of Revelation.”
Tribe leader Lee said, “God left this world after Adam sinned, and as a result, death and suffering came to man.”
Then, referring to Matthew 13, he said, “At the First Coming, seeds were sown, and at the Second Coming, those who were born of God's seed were harvested. The number of people who were sealed after harvesting was 144,000, 12 tribes with 12,000 people in each tribe. One should know whether one has been harvested or not.”
Tribe leader Lee continued, “Shincheonji Church of Jesus was created according to the Book of Revelation in the New Testament without adding or subtracting, as if it were stamped. The name and organisation is created as promised. Please listen to the Word that is being testified and confirm it for yourselves.”
He also said, “Just as the shepherds in Jerusalem persecuted Jesus and his disciples at the time of Jesus’ first coming, today Shincheonji has suffered similar difficulty. But we continue to grow because God and the angels are with us.”
Pastor A, who attended the event, said, “The Christian denomination is condemning Shincheonji as a cult. I'd even wondered whether it would be right for me to come and hear the word from this place.” He continued, “By the end of the seminar, I was reflecting on whether I, myself, had added or subtracted from the words I was conveying to the church members. I wanted to check the Word for myself and I now feel I am on the right path.”
There was also a pastor who wanted to sign an MOU with Shincheonji Church of Jesus. Pastor B said, “I heard the news that this event would be held in Jeju Island, so I came because there's something I wanted to check for myself. I wish to connect with Shincheonji and learn more about it.”
An official from Shincheonji Church of Jesus said, “The Shincheonji Bible Seminar was held with much success over the past four months with a positive response from seminarians and pastors both domestically and abroad. Church pastors all over the world are replacing church signs with the name 'Shincheonji Church of Jesus'. And they are preaching the message that comes from Shincheonji Church of Jesus. Because God and the angels are together with us, all of this has become possible like a miracle.” He also said, “We expect this year's '100,000 Graduation Ceremony' to materialise.”
According to Shincheonji Church of Jesus, from April to June, the number of former and current pastors who attended the 'Shincheonji Bible Seminar, Testimony on the Fulfillment of Revelation' was 500 in Seoul, 150 in Busan, 500 in Daejeon, 300 in Incheon, 300 in Gwangju, and 300 in Daegu. A total of 16,000 people, including pastors, were found to have visited the Shincheonji Bible Seminar in person.
Chairman ManHee Lee's in-person lecture series, which informed the prophecies and realities of the Book of Revelation, drew widespread attention. As global interest increased, Shincheonji Church of Jesus has signed MOUs (Memorandums of Understanding) with 7804 churches in 80 countries as of the end of May this year.
In addition, a total of eight countries including the Philippines, Tanzania, Madagascar, France, Austria, Brazil, Zambia, and Uganda recognise the doctrine of Shincheonji Church of Jesus on a national level.
Meanwhile, on the 22nd, a further lecture 'Revealing the Fulfilled Reality of Revelation, the New Covenant', is scheduled to be held in which the heads of the 12 tribes will give lectures in 12 locations across Korea. In addition, the eyes and ears of the public are being drawn towards the third '100,000 Graduation Ceremony' that is scheduled to be held at the end of this year.
