The 'Shincheonji 12 Tribes Bible Seminar' was hosted by the Simon Tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus) at the Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) in Goyang city, Gyeonggi province on the 22nd under the theme of 'Revealing the Fulfilled Reality of Revelation, the New Covenant'.
The Shincheonji 12 Tribes Bible Seminar was held at the request of the pastors who attended the 'Shincheonji Bible Seminar: Testimony on the Fulfillment of Revelation' series, held in Seoul, Busan, Daejeon, Incheon, Gwangju, and Daegu from April to June this year.
The format of the current lecture series is 'cross-tribe', meaning that every head of the 12 tribes of Shincheonji Church of Jesus will give a lecture at a neighbouring tribe. In this case, Simon tribe hosted a lecture that was given by the head of Matthew tribe, Jeong-min Choi. The lecture series is being conducted in this way to emphasise that the 12 tribes of Shincheonji Church of Jesus are united as one.
The lecture was conducted to make known the meanings of the prophecies recorded in the entire book of Revelation of the New Testament, and their fulfilled realities.
Jeong-min Choi, head of Matthew tribe, who gave a lecture that day, said, “The people who made a covenant with God in every era broke the covenant and betrayed, so God prophesied the creation of a new thing through Jeremiah.” He also said, “The book of Revelation is God’s secret about heaven” and emphasised, “God’s purpose is realised through the fulfilment of the Book of Revelation.”
He concluded his sermon by saying, “The reason why Shincheonji Church of Jesus is growing like this is because it is the city of truth where God, Jesus, and the angels are and because it has the word of truth.”
Pastor Young-gil Choi (pseudonym) of the Presbyterian Church said, “After listening today, I realised that the fulfilment of the Book of Revelation can only be testified by Chairman ManHee Lee.”
Pastor Dong-hyeon Ahn (pseudonym), who has been a pastor at Korea Holiness Church for 10 years, said, “I participated in this event with the attitude that I would go and listen to it at least once, even if it is being labelled a cult. I now want to learn more about the Word and sign an MOU* with Shincheonji.”
An official of Shincheonji Church of Jesus stated, “We expect this lecture to serve as an opportunity for the attendees to understand why they need to know the book of Revelation, which is Jesus’ promise, and study at the Zion Christian Mission Center to perceive this and enter the kingdom of heaven together.”
Meanwhile, 1509 pastors in Korea and 52,698 overseas pastors (including online) participated in the numerous Shincheonji Bible Seminar lectures held in the first half of this year. So far, there are 8176 churches in 80 countries that have signed an MOU with Shincheonji Church of Jesus.
*An MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) enables pastors and congregation members of any church to hear and learn the revealed theology of Shincheonji Church of Jesus.
