“New developments in Christianity are unfolding”, Shincheonji Bible Seminar series concludes in Daegu

Since the hosting of the Shincheonji Bible Seminar in major cities across South Korea, additional requests from the attendees have flooded in for further Bible study.

In the past four years, Shincheonji has been greatly persecuted in the city of Daegu as it was blamed for the transmission of COVID-19. Yet the 100,000 Graduation Ceremony and the service and devotion of the Shincheonji members in Daegu have been a catalyst for many people to come to Shincheonji.

On the 11th, the 6th lecture of the 'Shincheonji Bible Seminar: Testimony on the Fulfillment of Revelation' was held in Daegu. Throughout the Bible Seminar series held in six cities in Korea, a performance team that toured the country presented an excellent performance, and the attendees in Daegu welcomed Chairman Lee's lectures with thunderous applause.

Chairman Lee emphasised to the pastors and believers in attendance on that day that they must confirm the fulfilment of Revelation through the testimony of the one who has not only understood the prophecies of the Book of Revelation, but also seen and heard the fulfilled realities of Revelation.

(Recording: ManHee Lee | Chairman of Shincheonji Church)
“Who speaks truthfully? The Word says that there must be someone who knows not only the prophecies of the Book of Revelation, but also its fulfilled reality in its entirety. Isn't it right that the person who has seen and heard the fulfilled realities according to the contents of this book should be able to prove this? From the point of view of this individual (I, the Chairman), everything up to Revelation 17 has already been fulfilled. If this is so, there must be evidence that proves its fulfilment. But there is something that is incredibly difficult. If I go to the churches and testify the fulfilment, will they accept my testimony? Pastors, tell me, how many times have you persecuted Shincheonji and called it a cult?”

Chairman Lee emphasised that all religions should know and understand each other's differences and bring peace to this land.

(Recording: ManHee Lee| Chairman of Shincheonji)
“Religious people should look at every religion - and not just their own - at least once. What fulfilment do you speak of? Are there any entities that have appeared to prove what you are teaching? This person (I, the Chairman) can testify about all the entities. Everyone, all people of religion have one hope: a good world to come where one can live without fear of death - a world of eternal life and paradise. The place where God comes must be one of peace. God didn’t say He will come to a place embroiled in argument and dispute.”

The pastors who attended sympathised with the hardships and persecution suffered by Chairman Lee for testifying what he has seen and heard, and said that now is the time for pastors and believers alike to directly confirm the words of Shincheonji and break their prejudices.

(Interview: Pastor)
“I've been a pastor for quite a while, but to be honest, I've never preached about the Book of Revelation. Chairman Lee's lecture itself is amazing. He must have endured a lot of pain and hardship until now. Even though I've looked into the Bible a lot, I felt as if I was learning it for the first time. I'll have to listen to the lecture again, and I'll have to look inside the pages of the Bible again. People who like to criticise from the outset have neither seen nor listened to the fulfilment, and are themselves heresy. Should one start out blindly accusing the other of being a cult? That's not right. Seeing is believing. There's nothing wrong with the fact there is a testimony, so why is it considered heretical? Didn't the Korean government persecute Shincheonji and call it evil? (Pastors) That's how pastors feel, and they hold on to that stereotype. But as pastors, we must come and listen for ourselves and challenge that notion. Pastors, please ask yourselves, do your actions match up to the Bible?”

There is also the opinion that new developments in Christianity are unfolding in Korea due to the influence of this Bible Seminar held for pastors across the country.

(Interview: Pastor)
“From my point of view, Christianity is undergoing a tremendous shift. It's like watching the shifting of the tectonic plates. Protestantism in Korea has become so closed-minded, holding onto their own standards, beliefs and ways of doing things and calling them true, but now many pastors in this country seem to be accepting and digesting the words from Shincheonji, despite their mixed views. I am also a Protestant pastor and I can say that only Shincheonji has the truth and the correct teachings of God's word. Moreover, its teaching is centred on the Bible, within which the core truths of God and the eternal hope that mankind desires is recorded. I have come to accept this.”

(Interview: Pastor)
“The mood is changing a lot. We, pastors, mustn't just curse and remain distant. The Shincheonji Bible Seminar is designed for pastors, so we can come here to listen to the Word and check it out for ourselves. It seems like the time is near as these opportunities are opening up more and more.

(After being interviewed by the media) I've become a celebrity. People around me scolded me a lot, saying to me, 'You quit the Chongsin seminary to enrol onto the Korea seminary to study proper theology, but why have you fallen into Shincheonji Church of Jesus?' They say things like, 'Were you bribed to go to the seminar?' Well, they can criticise as much as they wish, but I believe that if just one person comes to Shincheonji out of curiosity after knowing that I'm here, then I reckon I will have done my duty.”

Even during the COVID-19 period, Shincheonji spread the word through online seminars and continually knocked on the doors of the hearts of pastors and believers.

In addition, believers from around the world are flocking to Shincheonji and church signboards are changing as the word from Shincheonji is sounded to the religious community worldwide.
