Shincheonji Volunteer Group Gwacheon Branch Holds Veterans Campaign at Sadang Station

The Gwacheon Branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group held a Korean War veterans’ campaign near Sadang Station on 19th August, encouraging year-round remembrance beyond commemorative dates.
An exhibition highlighting the realities of the Korean War was accompanied by citizen activities including writing thank-you letters and making Taegeukgi-shaped sock-yarn keychains from recycled materials. Around 50 citizens participated.
A participant, Mr. Kim, said the letter-writing activity renewed his appreciation for veterans’ sacrifices and expressed hope for more programmes to help younger generations learn about the Korean War.
A branch official said the campaign aimed to encourage direct citizen participation and keep the sacrifices of Korean War veterans remembered in everyday life.
