Shincheonji Volunteer Group's Changwon branch delivers 600kg of kimchi to Gyeongnam Disabled Veterans Association

Officials from the Changwon branch of Shincheonji Volunteer Group, the Gyeongnam branch of the Veterans Association for Persons with Disabilities, and Seojin Air Travel Agency Co., Ltd. are taking a commemorative photo after completing the ‘Sharing Kimchi of Love with Veterans’ Families’ event on the 7th December

Shincheonji Volunteer Group's Changwon Branch (Director Hyun-jin Kang) held an event called ‘Sharing Kimchi of Love with Veterans’ Families’ on the 7th December to spread warmth to the local community in the bitterly cold weather.

This event was prepared by Shincheonji Volunteer Group as an expression of gratitude to neighbours who have devoted their time and effort to the country.

At the event on that day, 30 members of the Changwon branch of Shincheonji Volunteer Group, and also Seojin Air Travel Agency delivered 600 kg of kimchi (300 kg from each organisation) to the Gyeongnam branch of the Veterans Association for Persons with Disabilities.

In particular, the Gyeongnam branch of the Veterans Association for Persons with Disabilities presented a plaque of appreciation to Shincheonji Volunteer Group Changwon branch as an expression of gratitude for their exemplary activities in various fields, including not only kimchi sharing but also local environmental clean-up activities and emotional support services for people with disabilities.

Volunteer Mi-hyeon Ahn, who participated in this event, said, “Although the amount given was minimal, I participated with the thought that the food would be delicious and that my neighbours would spend the winter with a warm heart,” and added, “I always want to be there with all my heart where help is needed.”

The head of the Gyeongnam branch of the Yongdae Veterans Association for Persons with Disabilities expressed his gratitude, saying, “There are still many veterans’ families in the Gyeongnam area, but people do not visit them often,” and added, “I am grateful for the consistent interest and service by the Changwon branch.”

Meanwhile, Shincheonji Volunteer Group has 78 branches across South Korea and is consistently carrying out the emotional support service, 'More the Better', a peace event called 'Love Your Country, Share Peace', and the environmental service, 'Green Nature'.
