“What I want to speak about to you today is God’s promise. Jesus prophesied the new covenant, the Book of Revelation, and has fulfilled it at the appointed time. Jesus told John to go to the churches and testify what he saw and heard (Revelation 22:8, 16). John can testify because he has seen the actual realities from Revelation 1 to 22. It can't be false because there's evidence. This person (John) would know the names, faces and actions of the entities that have appeared.”
Chairman ManHee Lee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus) said this at the [Encore in Seoul] Shincheonji Bible Seminar held on the afternoon of the 4th November at the Yeongdeungpo Church of the Bartholomew Tribe in Dongjak district, Seoul under the theme of 'Fulfilled Realities of the Entire Book of Revelation'. He also repeatedly asked for confirmation, emphasising that he knows all about the prophecies of Revelation and the reality that has come true according to those prophecies.
Another Shincheonji Bible Seminar series opened on the 7th October, starting in Seoul and passing through major cities across South Korea such as Daejeon, Daegu, Busan, and Gwangju. The leaders of the 12 tribes were also present. A total of 1000 people attended the lectures in person, including 500 pastors from all over the country. Even before the event time, there were not enough seats, so some people had to stand and listen to the lecture.
This most recent lecture in Seoul included pre-ceremony performances and numerous videos, including the 100,000 Graduation Ceremony, testimonies from overseas pastors who have signed an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Shincheonji Church to have the revealed word from Shincheonji taught to respective church congregations, sermons by Shincheonji congregation members of all ages, from children to adults, the Shincheonji seminar series lectures held in both the first and second halves of the year (April to July, October).
Unlike the previous Shincheonji Bible Seminar series lectures, in this Bible Seminar, a layperson from Shincheonji Church of Jesus gave a lecture on the topic of ‘The two secrets of heaven: the seed and the harvest.’ Sister Chan-mi Lee, who serves as a secretary at Shincheonji Church of Jesus, asked the attendees whether they have been born of God's seed, whether they were harvested, or whether they belong to the 12 tribes of God's new kingdom, emphasising that they "must understand the Bible clearly." Attendees clapped and expressed their surprise at the sight of her clearly testifying without even looking at the Bible.
◆“Stop the persecution and let's become one in the Word”
Afterwards, when Chairman Lee appeared, applause poured out in the hall. Chairman Lee, who spoke with a powerful voice even though he is over 90 years old, emphasised that judgment is imminent, saying that today's end times are like the days of Noah and Lot. Chairman Lee continued his lecture with a confident tone for over an hour.
Chairman Lee said, “There is one dangerous expression in this book called the Book of Revelation: “Revelation 22:18-19”, which says that if you add to or subtract from the contents of this book, you will not be able to go to heaven and will be cursed.” He emphasised, “I must think about who I am according to the New Testament, and whether I have been created according to the New Testament.” He also said, “Every time there is the work of God, people who have been given the spirit of the devil have been persecuting the pastors sent by God,” and “No one should call others a cult on a subject they themselves know nothing about according to the Bible.” It is not the duty of a believer to slander and persecute. He said emphatically, “If you know something and the other person doesn’t know it, you have to help them perceive.”
Lastly, Chairman Lee emphasised that we must become one within the Bible, and ordered that the issue be resolved through dialogue. He said, “Don’t we all believe in God, and isn't the word of God the seed?” and “It is said that the seed is the word of God, so let us live together as one eternal family born of the seed of God.”
Chairman Lee's lecture was broadcast simultaneously in 10 languages, including Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese, Indonesian, Russian, French, German, Spanish, and Mongolian, through the official YouTube channel of Shincheonji Church of Jesus.
◆“The overseas Shincheonji craze is now turning to pastors in South Korea”
Pastor A from the Assemblies of God, who said he attended the Shincheonji Bible Seminar through an online promotional video, said, “I've had a lot of questions about the Book of Revelation, and even though I looked at several commentaries (written by human research and interpretation), I couldn’t find a solution.” He added, “On the other hand, Chairman Lee believes that he received the word from God and Jesus in order to spread it.” In addition, he said, “Seeing him preach like this even though he is over 90 years old cannot come from human strength.” He continued, “Our pastors have been in ministry for a long time, so when you look at their sermons, you can tell whether they are really preaching God’s word or just conveying their own thoughts.” He added, “The content of what Chairman Lee said is the word of God itself. It was very moving.”
At the same time, he said, “Churches that have been having a certain degree of religious engagement with Shincheonji are currently moving toward reorganisation,” adding, “Looking at this, we can see that one era is passing and another era is coming.” He also predicted, “I think the number of pastors who listen to the words of Shincheonji and think, ‘A new era is now being ushered in’ will increase,” and added, “Isn't it natural that the influence from overseas for the revealed word from Shincheonji would now also reach Korean pastors?”
◆8th Bible Seminar lecture this year… Hundreds of pastors gathered
This is already the 8th time this year that the Shincheonji Bible Seminar has been held for pastors, seminarians, and church members. Chairman Lee held a lecture series in major cities across South Korea, starting with Seoul on the 7th October, to testify that the prophecy of Revelation has been fulfilled, and to ask pastors to confirm this.
The Shincheonji Bible Seminar attracts hundreds of pastors each time, demonstrating great interest from the religious community. The number of attendees at the initial Shincheonji Bible Seminar, which was held for two months starting in April, was approximately 460,000 from all over the world, both online and offline, of which approximately 54,000 were pastors. 11,200 people attended the Shincheonji Bible Seminar lectures held five times in the second half of the year in October, of which 1150 were pastors. The Shincheonji Bible Seminar, which was simultaneously broadcast live on YouTube, received a lot of attention with thousands of people watching each lecture. These results reflect pastors' growing interest in Shincheonji's revealed theology.
Currently, about 120,000 people, including 2800 domestic and foreign pastors, are learning the Word at the Zion Christian Mission Centre, a Bible education institution of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, and the third '100,000 Graduation Ceremony' is scheduled to be held this year.
