(Shincheonji Seminar Series: 'Testimony on the Parables of the Secrets of Heaven and Their True Meanings', Lesson 5)''. This is a translation of that report. In the above image, Beom-jin Kim, a lecturer from Thaddeus tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Chairman Man-hee Lee, Shincheonji Church of Jesus) delivered a lecture on Figurative Food and Yeast, broadcast via the official YouTube channel, on the 20th January

[Cheonji Ilbo = Reporter Min-hee Kim] Lecturer Beom-jin Kim of Thaddeus tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Chairman Man-hee Lee, Shincheonji Church of Jesus), delivered a lecture on the seminar series 'Testimony on the Parables of the Secrets of Heaven and Their True Meanings' on the 20th January.

On the 17th, lecturer Jae-in Lee of Andrew tribe testified about '[Lesson 4] Figurative Seed, Field, Tree and Bird', and on the 20th, lecturer Beom-jin Kim testified about '[Lesson 5] The Figurative Food and Yeast'.

Lecturer Kim said, “The words of the secrets of heaven cannot be understood literally, but you must know their true meaning contained in parables."

Then, citing Matthew 24, he emphasised, “There will be wars and famines at the Second Coming of the Lord, and the faithful and wise servant will distribute food at the proper time."

What is the spiritual meaning of the figurative food? Lecturer Kim said, “In the same way that the food for the flesh gives life to the body, the word of God that we eat by listening with our ears gives life to our souls."

He explained that the flesh and blood of Jesus, which was the food of life at the first coming, was not physical food, but spiritual food; that is, the 'words of Jesus' (John 6:63). With a tone of encouragement, he said, "Let's work for the food of God."

He also said, “Today is a time of spiritual famine where there are numerous doctrines and commentaries conceived by man's thoughts, and a time where there is no food of God (Amos 8:11). However, this food can be eaten through the one who overcomes who received the hidden manna according to the promise of the Book of Revelation (Rev 2:17).”

Lecturer Kim also testified about the meaning of yeast. He said, “The yeast is the word of instruction that changes the heart of man.” He said, “God’s yeast transforms our hearts into the image and likeness of God, while Satan’s yeast transforms our hearts into the image and likeness of Satan.”

He continued, “Just as meeting the true Shepherd Jesus, who changed hearts with God’s yeast and teachings at the first coming, was the way for one to be born again into a child of heaven, today at the Second Coming, we can find salvation only when we receive the testimony of the Word delivered through Jesus’ messenger sent for the churches (Rev. 22:16).”

Finally, he said, “The purpose and hope of our faith is heaven and eternal life.” "Today, we can meet the faithful and wise servant, the promised true shepherd of Jesus recorded in the New Testament. Let's put in the effort to become newly created people who attain heaven."

From 6th January - 28th March 2022, Shincheonji Church of Jesus will hold the seminar series 'Testimony on the Parables of the Secrets of Heaven and Their True Meanings' a total of 24 times, twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays at 10am.

This seminar series, led by instructors from the Zion Christian Mission Center, will be broadcast in 24 languages via the official Shincheonji YouTube channel (https://bit.ly/en2021revs).
