“Is the 'Fire of Judgment' a Nuclear War?” Lecture by Shincheonji Simon Tribe (Shincheonji Seminar Series: 'Testimony on the Parables of the Secrets of Heaven and Their True Meanings', Lesson 7)

[Cheonji Ilbo = Reporter Hye-ji Lim] Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Chairman Man-hee Lee) has been conducting their seminar series 'Testimony on the Parables of the Secrets of Heaven and Their True Meanings' since the beginning of the year. On 27th January, Lecturer Jun Lee from Simon Tribe delivered a lecture on the theme 'The Figurative Fire, Censer, Pot', lesson 7 of 23, under the elementary course taught by the Zion Christian Mission Center.

The seminar was held on the 24th January, following the previous seminar entitled '[Lesson 6] The Figurative Bowl, Scale, Rod (Staff)' delivered by Lecturer Geon-ah Jeon of Philip tribe.

Lecturer Jun Lee first explained, “The meaning of the figurative fire is the word, the censer within which the incense burns is a person, and the pot is the church.”

Lecturer Lee stressed, “The reason the fire is the ‘word’ is because it is hot and possesses the characteristic of burning and destroying (Jeremiah 23:29).”

He continued, “The fact that Jesus came to bring fire on the earth 2,000 years ago means that he came to deliver the word of God to the hearts of people who were likened to the earth (Luke 12:49). Those who do not believe will be judged by the fire of these words, while those who do believe will be judged by the 'baptism of fire' in which one's sins are forgiven.”

In addition, he said, “Many people interpret the prophetic 'fire of judgment' of the last days as a 'nuclear war' or 'World War 3', but they are in error because of their literal interpretation of fire. Its real meaning is that people will be judged at the time of the end according to the words Jesus spoke (John 12:48).”

In addition, he said, “The reality of the censer filled with fire at the first coming is Jesus.” “Just as an angel fills a censer with fire and pours it out on the earth, there is a true shepherd who, like a censer, receives the fire of the word at the Second Coming (Revelation 8:5).”

Lecturer Lee said, “Today, the true shepherd, who is the censer with the burning incense, is the 'one who overcomes' who received the hidden manna as Jesus promised (Revelation 2:17).” He asserted, “You, too, can receive this manna.”

He added, “Today is the time when the words Jesus spoke and promised in parables is revealed plainly. There is clear evidence.”

Shincheonji Church of Jesus will hold the seminar series 'Testimony on the Parables of the Secrets of Heaven and Their True Meanings' a total of 24 times, twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays at 10am, until 28th March 2022. This seminar series, led by instructors from the Zion Christian Mission Center, will be broadcast in 24 languages via the official Shincheonji YouTube channel (https://bit.ly/en2021revs).
