📰The Bible is one of the best-selling and most widely distributed books in history, yet it is also considered to be among the least understood. The Bible, which is referred to as the New Covenant and Promise of God, in which 'the way to heaven and salvation' is presented, differs in theologians' interpretations that make it difficult to understand. These differing interpretations have been the cause of the rise of denominations with each one establishing their own doctrine. With the increase in online church services and gatherings resulting from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, there has been growing interest in the comparison of various church doctrine. This paper, therefore, attempts to provide readers with the opportunity to compare differing Biblical teachings without interpretation. Among a host of online sermons and Bible-based teachings, the contrasting doctrine between the established Church and Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which has drawn public interest throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, is hereby compared and summarised. Best efforts have been made to provide a summary of Shincheonji Church of Jesus' understanding of the Bible. Judgment as to what is right or wrong is left to the reader’s discernment.
"The one who receives the Word becomes god and God's heir. God's 'children' must be born again of the seed of God"

It is the Lord's Prayer that all believers recite. The Lord's Prayer is a prayer that Jesus taught his disciples about 2,000 years ago, which instructs them how to pray. He began to pray with the words, 'Our Father in Heaven'. Who can call God 'Father', and what is the qualification for doing so?
If someone were to call a man 'father' out of the blue, then this man would find this person of unsound mind. In Matthew 7:21~23, Jesus said that to a believer who just says, "Lord, Lord," he will reply, "I don't know you." Moreover, to the scribes and Pharisees who called God their Father, Jesus pointed out that there was no truth in them and that their father is the devil.
To begin with, in 1 John 3:9, it is written that those who are born of God - that is, the children of God - have the seed of God in them. Therefore, in order to become a true child of God who can call God 'Father', one must be born of the seed of God, which is His word. This means that one can not legitimately call God 'Father' at will.
Then, how do we become a child of God born of the seed of God to call God 'Father'? Today is the time when a clear distinction is made between those who are born with the seed of God and those who are not born with the seed of God. Let's see why.
About 2600 years ago, God promised through Jeremiah that two seeds would be sown. For about 600 years after then, this prophecy was delivered to the physical Israelites and God, who made this prophecy, then came to Jesus 600 years later to sow the good seed, as recorded in Matthew 13. In Luke 8:11, the seed sown at that time was not a physical seed, but a spiritual seed. The seed was the word of God.
God said that His word is life and light, and that heaven, earth and all creation was made through His word. God also said that the person who receives this word becomes a god - His offspring (John 10:35, Acts 17:29). Therefore, God's word is the seed of God through which one can become a son of God.
Therefore, only those who are born again of this seed can become sons of heaven and children of God. On the contrary, the devil has his word, which is the devil's seed, and those born of the devil's seed becomes the devil's child.
Where is the field where this seed was sown? Jesus said that the seed of the Word was sown in his field, and that the field represents the world. This field, therefore, is the church of Jesus. But while people were sleeping, the enemy came and sowed tares (weeds). Therefore, the good seed and the weeds -that is, the seed of God and the seed of the devil, respectively - are both sown in one place.
In Matthew 13:38-39, the good seed stands for the sons of heaven, who are the sons of God; and the weeds are the sons of the evil one, which means the sons of the devil. As a result of these two seeds being sown, the church of Jesus has had two types of children in it.
Jesus, who sowed the good seed, promised to do the work of harvest within this field. He promised that at the time of harvest, the weeds would be tied in bundles to be burnt, while those who are born with the seed of God - that is, the good seed - would be harvested and taken to the barn.
To where should I be harvested when the time of harvest comes? One must be in the field where the seeds were sown in order to be harvested out. This field is the church of Jesus (Christianity), where Jesus, together with the harvesting angels, harvest the children of God born of the seed of God, and take them to Mount Zion. By sealing these harvested wheat-like believers with the word of revelation, God creates a new kingdom and a new people, which are the 12 tribes of Shincheonji, the spiritual new Israel. Do you believe in the words of Jesus' prophecy?
Who are those who will become the children of God at the time of harvest? Is it those who remain tied up in their fields or those who have been harvested? What has not been harvested is evidence that one is a child of the devil born of the seed of the devil, while one who is harvested is evidence that one is a son of God, born of the seed of God.
"We are His Children from the moment we call God 'Father' and pray"
(Korean Presbyterian and Holiness Churches)
Pastor A of the Korean Holiness Church
"In the Lord's Prayer, first of all, we begin with the object of our prayer as we pray, 'Our Father in Heaven'. What do you call God? Father. From the time I begin to call God my father, I become a child of God, and my status changes. If you can't pray, don't try to think of a lot of words, just cry out 'father, father, and father'."
Pastor B of the Korean Presbyterian Church
"In the Lord's Prayer, Jesus taught us to call on our Father in heaven first when we pray. The object to which we pray is God the Father. Those who believe in this Heavenly Father and pray are His children. That is why the moment we call God the Father and pray, we naturally become children of God."
