“I was surprised to learn through the forest fire prevention quiz that it takes 30 years for a forest to recover after a forest fire, 100 years for soil, and 20 years for pine trees... I wish adults would refrain from throwing away cigarette butts when they go hiking.”

A primary school student, who went on a forest experience with his teacher, expressed their newfound learning after directly witnessing the 'Green Nature' forest fire prevention campaign carried out by the Shincheonji Volunteer Group Guri-Namyangju Branch on the 9th.

On that day, the Guri-Namyangju Branch focused on raising citizens’ awareness of forest fire prevention through forest fire common knowledge quiz, guidance on the ecosystem recovery period in forest fire-stricken areas, promotion of forest fire prevention rules, and activities to prohibit possession of flammable materials.
