These are the words of a citizen who attended the 6.25 Korean War photo exhibition and participated in the handprint making of Taegeukgi (Korean national flag) to commemorate the souls of war veterans who died for the peace of the Republic of Korea and to promote a world of peace without conflict.

On the 19th August, the Suwon and Hwaseong-Osan branches of Shincheonji Volunteer Group held a pre-event to the 8th 'Love Your Country, Share Peace' event at Suwon City Veterans' Hall.

Those in attendance on that day included Dong-seong Kim, head of the Suwon branch of Shincheonji Volunteer Group; Gi-cheol Hong, head of the Hwaseong-Osan branch of Shincheonji Volunteer Group; Gu-jeong Lee, head of the Suwon City branch of the Korean War Veterans Association; the Association members; members of the Suwon City Branch of the Vietnam War Veterans Association; Chang-seong Lee, the Chairman of the Democratic Party Suwon Gap; and Jae-hwa Bae, President of the Mugunghwa K-Love Association. Citizens from all walks of life also attended.

Chairman Chang-seong Lee of the Democratic Party Suwon Gap said, “I felt apologetic when I saw the war veterans while attending this event.”

He continued, “While serving as the chairman of the Democratic Party Suwon Gap, I've raised a budget for the construction of hospitals in southern Gyeonggi Province for war veterans.”

At the event, photos of the 6.25 Korean War Veterans Association meeting wearing new uniforms were exhibited. An official from Shincheonji Volunteer Group said, “In future events, we plan to capture more of the living proof of history.”

There was also a booth where participants could view the 6.25 Korean War photo exhibition and lay flowers, and also take part in events held at the booth.

The veterans of the Korean War looked at the photos, reminiscing about the war. Explaining to people viewing the photos, an elderly veteran said, “Looking at this picture reminds me of the past. At that time, I enlisted at the age of 19 and participated in the war at the age of 20.”

Gu-jeong Lee, the head of the Suwon City branch of the Korean War Veterans Association, said, “Thank you for inviting me to this event.”

Director Dong-seong Kim said, “The veterans of the Korean War and the Vietnam War are Korean heroes who sacrificed their lives for the peace of the country.”

Branch Manager Gi-cheol Hong said, “I'm happy to be attending the 8th 'Love Your Country, Share Peace' pre-event with patriotic martyrs,” and “I hope the blessings of heaven will be with you all.”
