50,000 people attend Shincheonji church’s Bible Seminars!
Roughly 50,000
people of all faiths and none have attended Bible Seminars held by Shincheonji
Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (hereon ‘Shincheonji
church’) throughout South Korea from April 12th-early May 2019. The purpose of
these seminars was two-fold: to satisfy the thirsty hearts of those seeking for
a correct understanding of the Bible and to resolve peoples’ misunderstandings
about Shincheonji church.
Lectures taught
about the new covenant, God’s 6000-year history, the tree of life and the tree
of the knowledge of good and evil, the signs of the end of the age and the
faith believers should have. Clear explanations about the book of Revelation
were also taught, as well as clear answers to 24 questions posed about life by
the late Lee Byung-chul, the president of Samsung.
One
participant, Mr. Ki-young Choi (61), said that although he had been a decades-long
faithful believer in a large church in Daegu, he did not understand that the
command Jesus gave to “flee to a mountain” was to move churches. Mr. In-sik Kim
(63), who attended the seminar in Daejeon, said, "It was simple and
crystal-clear. I’m pleased and satisfied learning about the nature of human
life, pain, and death. I want to continue studying in the future."
Indeed, 70% of
all participants registered for further study at the Zion Christian Mission
Center - the theology arm of Shincheonji church - to learn the systematic and
logical word of the Bible. Courses are taught for free at 300 locations across
the country, and online courses will also be available from May.
One
representative from the traditional Church, who asked for anonymity, said,
"I am surprised that the number of congregation members in Korea is
gradually decreasing while the number of Shincheonji church members is growing."
He added, "It is particularly noteworthy that the Christian population is
growing at such a high rate in Yeongnam.”
A Shincheonji
church representative said, "Through these seminars, we can confirm that
many people are still interested in religion. Many participants expressed their
gratitude for this “best Bible lecture" and they will continue to understand
the Bible through the classes taught at Zion Christian Mission Center, making
it possible for them to check the word directly for themselves."
The reason why
I go to Shincheonji church is because it teaches the correct explanation of the
Bible from Genesis to Revelation in a logical and consistent way according to
the Bible, without any external interpretations. The entire Bible, including God’s
will for humanity, can be explained according to the Bible. I will be forever grateful
for this.
