On September 13th 2025, Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Thomas Tribe Jeonju Church held a large-scale the “2025 Jeonju Bible Seminar” on Revelation which drew in an attendance of more than 1000 people, including congregation members, pastors, local residents, and media representatives. Following the seminar, attendee Da-in Kim (26, Jeonju) expressed his thoughts above.

Delivering an in-depth lecture on the prophecies and fulfilment of the Book of Revelation, Tribe Leader Kwak emphasised:

“If we do not repent, we cannot receive blessing. God sent His Word saying, ‘Fight and overcome the enemy, and you will receive blessing.’ This is not symbolic - it is reality. Only those who have witnessed Revelation's fulfilment can testify with certainty.”

He explained the meaning of the seven seals, the fall of God’s chosen people symbolised as the sun, moon, and stars, and the hope of becoming “good grain stored in the barn” to receive eternal blessing.

Kwak further declared that Shincheonji alone testifies to the realities of Revelation’s fulfilment, describing it as the spiritual re-creation of God’s new Israel, the 12 tribes. He highlighted Shincheonji’s global growth, with 917 churches in Korea and 14,221 churches in 88 countries signing MOUs for Bible exchange.

Church leaders were visibly moved by the lecture. Pastor Joseph Jung (69, Jeonju) said: “I feel grateful to live in this era where we can understand the meaning and fulfilment of Scripture. I also understand why the younger generation is so passionate about this place.”

Meanwhile, the Zion Christian Mission Center provides free study on the Bible and the secrets of Revelation to anyone thirsty for an in-depth understanding of the Bible.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus imparts clear and deep biblical teachings, to the extent that many people join the church because of its focus on the Word of God. In Gwangju, South Korea, Shincheonji Church of Jesus' Peter Tribe (hereafter referred to as Shincheonji Peter Tribe) is leading the way with special Bible study programmes to help believers understand God’s Word more and live according to it.

In particular, on November 29th, the Shincheonji Church of Jesus Peter Tribe held the 3rd Revelation Memorization Heavenly Exam across seven churches - Gwangju, Mokpo, Yeosu, Suncheon, Songha, Gwangyang, and Haenam.

An annual tradition for the Peter tribe and now in its third year, the Heavenly Exam was created to help believers engrave the New Covenant - the Book of Revelation - into their hearts and minds. This year, a total of 11,057 members participated, choosing among three difficulty levels (Level 1, Level 2, Level 3).

Their goal is to help members grow into what they call “walking Bibles” - believers who can recall and explain the Word accurately.

One congregant named Kim, who is a working professional and who attempted the Heavenly Examination for the third time, said that despite his busy schedule, he would always open the Bible app and study during his commute, and even made an hour before work and bedtime to memorise the Bible.

Having passed the Heavenly Examination on the third time, Kim said he didn't simply view it as the fruit of hard work. He believed it was a grace from God, a culmination of all the sleepless nights he had spent.

Kim said, “As the Word entered my heart, my life changed. There were difficult moments, but I was able to overcome them with the hope of 'heaven and salvation.”

Peter Tribe Leader Jae-wook Yoo encouraged those who took the exam:

“Your year of preparation will never be in vain. God remembers your effort and sincerity. As believers who have learned the revealed Word from the one who saw and heard the fulfilment of Revelation, let us reveal the value of the Word with even clearer faith.”

Menawhile, the Education Department also announced the introduction of a new Master Level for next year, requiring participants to write the entire Book of Revelation by hand.

On the 27th September, citizens listened to Chairman ManHee Lee's lecture outdoors during the "Shincheonji Bible Seminar: Testimony on the Fulfilled Realities of the Book of Revelation" held at the Shincheonji Cheongju Church

On September 27th, Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, hosted its fourth Revelation Bible Seminar of the year at the Cheongju Church of the Matthias Tribe. What unfolded was more than just a lecture - it was an encounter that left thousands of pastors and believers reflecting deeply on the essence of faith.

Korean Christianity is facing a crisis of declining membership, yet Shincheonji continues to grow. For many pastors, the pressing question has been: “Why does Shincheonji keep growing?” The seminar provided a direct answer - by openly testifying to both the prophecy and fulfilment of the Book of Revelation.

On that day, from early morning, the church’s 1000-seat main sanctuary filled to capacity. Overflow spaces - smaller sanctuaries, seminar rooms, and even the outdoor parking area - were opened, accommodating a total of 7500 participants. Attendees came not only from Cheongju but also from Seoul, Busan, Jeju, and beyond.

The atmosphere was charged with anticipation. Hymns led by the Shincheonji choir filled the air, easing initial tension. Pastors exchanged greetings of “Nice to meet you” and “I love you,” transforming the gathering into a warm and unifying experience. One pastor admitted, “I never imagined I would sing hymns and feel grace inside a Shincheonji church.”

Chairman ManHee Lee, who took the stage to resounding applause, wasted no time in addressing the heart of the matter.

“Revelation is the promise Jesus left for believers after His resurrection and ascension. You must know what that promise is and how it will be fulfilled.”

Chairman Lee’s powerful lecture on the fulfilment of Revelation continued for over an hour, with continuous applause and "Amens" from the audience. Chairman Lee explained why understanding Revelation is essential for salvation, urging pastors to examine the testimony themselves rather than dismissing it with labels.

“If you want true faith, don’t just call something heresy. Come and see if what we testify has real substance. Test it by the Bible.”

He went further, proposing even a public test to determine who holds the true Word of God.

Many pastors left the seminar visibly moved. Some admitted to self-reflection and repentance:

“At 95 years old, his passion and sincerity shocked me. I realised my ministry has been far from the Word.”

“He said not to add or take away from Revelation. I thought it was a simple phrase, but now I see it’s the very truth of the Bible.”

Others spoke of practical cooperation: “I want to explore working with Shincheonji to overcome challenges in ministry, especially in preparing sermons.”

For decades, only a few pastors dared to attend Shincheonji’s open Bible seminars due to stigma. Now, thousands are coming, not just out of curiosity but to verify and judge by Scripture. The September 27th event marked a turning point: pastors left not only with answers but also with renewed questions about their own ministries.

As one participant said, “If Revelation has truly been fulfilled, every believer must come and see for themselves.”

On December 6th, believers who participated in the 7th 'Light and Salt Street Cleaning Service' are cleaning the streets of Mbayani

“I participated with the determination to become the light and salt of the community through volunteer work. It is rewarding to see people's perception of Mbayani Street changing.”

On December 6th, 50 members of the Malawi branch of Shincheonji Church of Jesus carried out an environmental cleanup on the streets of Mbayani in Blantyre, Malawi's commercial capital. A church volunteer above expressed the purpose behind participation in such an initiative that goes beyond simply picking up litter.

The Shincheonji Malawi Region has been holding monthly street clean-up campaigns since June, held on the first weekend of every month, with the purpose of raising awareness that littering is a shameful act and providing residents with a clean environment. This was the 7th anti-litter service conducted by the Shincheonji Malawi Church.

On that day, 50 Shincheonji Malawi members collected discarded household waste from roadsides and around commercial areas, filling 30 25-litre waste refuse sacks (750kg).

Marie Banda (40, female), a resident of Mbayani, expressed her gratitude for Shincheonji's ongoing service in Malawi, saying, “After months of ongoing activities, people in the market have become more conscious of voluntarily sweeping and cleaning their own shops and streets.”

Catherine, a 34-year-old member who joined the effort that day, shared her reflection:

“Each month we continue this work to set an example as children of God. When residents thank us and take greater interest in preserving the environment, I feel encouraged to keep serving faithfully.”

Meanwhile, the Shincheonji Malawi Church emphasised that their goal is to remain a church that serves humbly while sharing the true teachings of Jesus. A Shincheonji Malawi Branch official expressed his aspirations, saying, “Next year, we will work with government agencies such as Blantyre City Hall and the Blantyre Youth Sports Centre to further our commitment to Malawi.”

Attendees enjoy the performance during the "Open House Autumn Healing Concert" held at Shincheonji Church of Jesus in Hwagok on October 25th

Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, Hwagok Church of the Bartholomew Tribe, hosted its "Open House Autumn Healing Concert" on October 25th. The event was designed to provide local residents with an inside look at church life and a healing space combining music, diverse cultural experiences, and sharing.

More than 200 citizens, ranging in age from their 20s to their 80s, attended the event eager to experience the church firsthand. Many expressed that they wanted to see for themselves what Shincheonji was really like, beyond what they had heard online or through media.

One visitor, Ho-jin Seo (69, male), explained:

“The performance was well-organised and of a high standard, so I was able to enjoy it,” and added, “The church facilities were clean and comfortable, and I was surprised because it was completely different from what I had known about Shincheonji Church of Jesus.”

The event opened with a dynamic performance by the marching band and military band, and was followed by an eclectic mix of songs that created a rich and wholesome experience.

This open house, in addition to the concert, was met with great acclaim for its community-focused programmes. Displays included:

*Shincheonji Volunteer Group initiatives such as caring for marginalised neighbours, environmental clean-ups, and donation campaigns.

*We Are One Youth Volunteer Group projects like We Are Run marathon events and the nationwide We Are Red blood donation campaign.

*Multimedia exhibits featuring the Zion Christian Mission Centre’s 100,000 graduation ceremony, which left visitors impressed by the scale and organisation.

Visitors listen to a lecture by Young-no Lee, the leader of the Busan James Tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, at an open house event at the Busan Church

On 22nd November 2025, the Busan James Tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus held an open house at Shincheonji Busan Church. Themed “First Fruit Festival,” the event drew in over 3000 participants, including church members' families and friends, local dignitaries, and Zion Mission Centre students.

The open house was held following the Class 116 Zion Christian Mission Center Graduation Ceremony held a few weeks earlier in Cheongju, which celebrated the completion of Bible study of 59,192 graduates of Shincheonji Church of Jesus.

On that day, the open house opened with praise and prayer, and was followed by an in-depth lecture given by Tribe Leader Young-no Lee, who emphasised that Shincheonji is a community of believers who both testify to and keep the book of Revelation. He emphasised, “The Book of Revelation is a book of prophecy, and its core is ‘prophecy and fulfilment,’” and “God’s promises will definitely come true, and the words prophesied in the Bible will be fulfilled as they are.”

The lecture also highlighted changes in the faith of the graduates. Tribe Leader Lee said, “Many confessed that they came to understand the meaning of the Book of Revelation, which had been difficult to understand even after reading it repeatedly, and that in the process, they realised that they were precious beings within God's plan.”

The open house provided a transparent display of Bible education, worship programmes, and the congregation's religious activities, permitting visitors to directly observe and judge the doctrine, education, and transformation of believers.

Many first-time visitors shared their surprise and joy. Mr. Man-gyun Lim (67), who participated in the event, said, “Initially, I felt awkward, but seeing the bright expressions of the believers and their kind guidance, I started to trust them,” and “Today’s lecture helped me clear up my misunderstandings, and I felt like I wanted to find out the truth of the word until the end.”

An official of the Shincheonji Busan Church explained the purpose behind the open house: “We designed the open house so that visitors can see, feel, and judge for themselves.”

The open house event reaffirmed Shincheonji’s commitment to spreading the correct understanding of their teachings on Revelation and guiding believers towards a faith rooted in the fulfilment of God’s Word.

On October 19th, the Gwangmyeong branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group explained the importance of practising carbon neutrality to citizens in front of Exit 2 of Cheolsan Station. {A.I. modified}

The Shincheonji Volunteer Group in Gwangmyeong has been leading the way in environmental protection. On October 19th, the group held a carbon-neutral campaign at the exit of Cheolsan Station in Gwangmyeong, encouraging citizens to reduce single-use plastics and use eco-friendly shopping bags to raise citizens' environmental awareness.

In line with Korea’s goal of achieving carbon zero by 2050, this marks the fifth consecutive year of the Gwangmyeong branch’s carbon-neutral efforts since 2020.

This volunteer service aims to raise awareness of carbon neutrality and introduce easy-to-practice methods in everyday life, with the goal that small actions in daily life can help protect the Earth.

On that day, the volunteers shared practical ways to practise carbon neutrality in daily life. They explained that the best and fastest way to protect the environment is to reduce the use of disposable items such as plastic bags.

Annual plastic bag usage in Korea is about 420 plastic bags per person, which directly increases carbon emissions. If just 10% of the population reduces usage, it could cut 60,000 tons of CO₂, equivalent to planting over 6.7 million trees!

After hearing the explanation, citizens signed a "Carbon Neutrality Pledge" on site and received reusable Tyvek shopping bags made of recyclable material. These bags can be used multiple times, helping reduce waste.

This volunteer service also included an environmental quiz, including questions about recycling and OX quizzes about reducing carbon emissions. Participants not only enjoyed the games but also learned accurate waste separation methods.

Volunteer Park Eun-hye (53) said:-

“When I told people that the amount of waste generated daily equals 30,000 city buses, they were shocked. Even one reusable bag can prevent hundreds of plastic bags from being used.”

A local resident, Dajin Lee (32), said:-

“I didn’t know it takes up to 100 years for a plastic bag to decompose. From now on, I’ll use the eco-bag I received today.”

A Gwangmyeong branch official said, “Our goal is not only to hand out bags but to help citizens become active protectors of the environment. Small actions, when gathered together, can make Gwangmyeong a truly clean city.”

Through consistent volunteerism and education, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group in Gwangmyeong is showing that real change starts with small actions. By reducing plastic waste and promoting eco-friendly living, they’re helping build a future where both people and the planet can thrive.

One of the warmest scenes of local solidarity in the lead up to winter took place in Daejeon, Korea.

On November 27th, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group Daejeon Branch carried out its 23rd annual Coal Briquette-Sharing campaign, delivering essential winter fuel directly to households in need.

This year, volunteers prepared and delivered 2000 coal briquettes - about 7 tonnes - to heat vulnerable households in the neighbourhood of Soje, Dong District.

At 10am, nearly 70 volunteers gathered as trucks arrived with briquettes stacked high. The moment the unloading began, volunteers formed long, human chains winding through steep paths and narrow alleys - typical of Soje neighbourhood’s hillside neighbourhood.

A single coal briquette weighs approximately 3.5kg, and volunteers had to repeat the motion hundreds of times: lifting, passing, and quickly adjusting their work paths to safely deliver the briquettes amid the steep slope and narrow footing.

Yet every movement was filled with purpose. One volunteer noted:-

“Carrying these briquettes myself made me realise how much one piece of fuel can support someone’s entire winter. I want to keep participating.”

Local residents expressed gratitude with warm smiles, encouraging words, and even small snacks handed out along the delivery line. The neighbourhood’s cold morning slowly warmed with moments of connection.

More than fuel, this effort delivered warmth, dignity, and hope. Branch leader Jang Bang-sik described the deeper meaning behind the annual campaign:

“Delivering coal briquettes is not the end—it is the beginning of connecting hearts. When one briquette warms a room, that warmth supports an entire life.”

He emphasised, “The comfort we receive from God is meaningless if it remains within us,” and “When a single briquette reaches a family in pressing need of heating, that comfort comes alive and becomes the strength to sustain that family through the winter.”

For many beneficiaries, briquettes are not simply fuel - they are the difference between enduring the cold or facing real hardship. This initiative is the power of shared compassion: small touches of kindness that keep an entire city warm.

Meanwhile, the Coal Briquette-Sharing project is one of the Daejeon branch’s long-standing programmes. In addition to this initiative, the volunteer group continues to expand community support through daily living support and food donation programs; local-business–linked giving campaigns; regular assistance for vulnerable households; seasonal safety activities; and neighbourhood clean-up and care projects.
