The Icheon branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group held an autumn outing with 10 Korean War veterans at Seolbong Park in Icheon on the 29th.

Ki-cheol Hong, head of the Icheon branch, and volunteers joined the veterans for a leisurely walk, enjoying the autumn scenery and taking commemorative photographs. The branch plans to frame the photos and present them to the veterans as keepsakes.

One veteran said, “I am delighted to enjoy this autumn outing. Thank you for taking the time to visit and spend time with me.”

Volunteer Hyo-soon Ahn said, “Walking and talking with the veterans reminded me that even a simple visit can bring joy to the elderly.”

An Icheon branch official said, “We must never forget the sacrifices of Korean War veterans. We will continue to bring warmth to the community through personal visits and meaningful companionship.”
