To mark the 60th anniversary of the Vietnam War, the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs under the Government of South Korea issued new uniforms to approximately 175,000 surviving Vietnam War veterans.

To commemorate the noble spirit of the patriots who defended their country, the Cheongpyeong Branch of Shincheonji Volunteer Group held a '100 Years of Longevity' photoshoot service for members of the Vietnam War Veterans Association at the Gapyeong County Veterans Hall in Gyeonggi Province on the 21st November.

The photoshoot service falls under the nationwide 'Beautiful Seniors' programme of Shincheonji Volunteer Group to support a healthy and happy retirement under the slogan ‘One beautiful day is beautiful enough.’

The Cheongpyeong Branch also prepared this opportunity to further open up a wider range of volunteer opportunities for the senior citizens in Gapyeong County.

The deputy director of the Cheongpyeong branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group, said, “We will continue to develop a culture of respect and courtesy to honour the sacrifices of veterans who sacrificed their youth to protect peace and freedom, and ensure that their noble patriotic spirit is recognised as the highest value for future generations.”
