Shincheonji Volunteer Group's Jecheon Branch Conducts 'Beautiful Seniors' Wellbeing Activity
On the 27th, the Jecheon branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group provided hair and beauty services to members of senior citizens veterans' organisations, as part of its 'Beautiful Seniors' programme, at the Jecheon City War Veterans' Association Hall. The Jecheon Branch made pots of bamboo with a natural humidifying effect, while also spending time thinking about the importance of preventing colds and staying healthy through various experience booths.

Earlier on the 20th, the Jecheon branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group received a recognition award for excellent volunteer work from the Jecheon City Volunteers Centre for the various volunteer activities carried out by its members throughout this year.
Other programmes that the Jecheon Branch has been actively conducting include:-
- 'Green Nature' environmental clean-up activity to preserve a better environment for posterity
- 'Wall Story', approaching its 13th year, is one of the three major projects of Shincheonji Volunteer Group conducted nationwide across all 73 branches. It is an urban regeneration project that restores dilapidated murals through paintings, depicting characteristics specific to local regions and the stories of local residents on murals. The themes and pictures designed on the murals are decorated upon the request of the beneficiaries
- 'Health Doctor' approaches its 11th year and provides free medical services to foreign workers, who are often caught in the medical 'blind spot', the elderly living alone, and the underprivileged. Its brainchild, 'Five Senses Tour', is a project which removes the societal barriers between people with disabilities and people without and establishes a support structure for increased communication, understanding and the overcoming of physical and mental barriers
