Pastors at the Shincheonji Bible Seminar, “I want to understand and share the Book of Revelation right away”

In response to an outpouring of requests from many pastors for additional lectures following the Shincheonji Bible Seminar held in the cities of Ulsan and Busan, South Korea, in January of this year, the Bible seminar 'Testimony of the Fulfilled Realities of Revelation' was held by Shincheonji Church of Jesus at the Peace Training Institute in Cheongpyeong, Gyeonggi Province, on the 8th June.

On that day, ManHee Lee, Chairman of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, testified in depth about the prophecies and fulfilled realities of the events recorded in the Book of Revelation that he has witnessed firsthand to an audience of about 450 people, including 250 pastors, who were visiting from all over South Korea.

Chairman Lee urged those in attendance who believe in the same God and the same Bible not to fight but to resolve misunderstandings through dialogue.

Chairman Lee said:
“Because we are believers, I think it is right to believe according to the Bible. What I want to say is that it makes no sense fighting over the same Bible while we believe in the same God. We need to meet each other and dialogue.”

Chairman Lee also urged pastors who slander Shincheonji Church of Jesus to reflect on their actions, saying:-
“Instead of mindlessly slandering Shincheonji, you have to identify and inform us about any mistake in what we teach based on the holy scripture. If you just blindly slander us using the words 'Heresy, heresy', you yourself become the heretic. Such people say such things in an attempt to mask their own heretical ways. But if what we teach is indeed not heretical, then you should give up cursing and say so. Don't we believe in the same Holy Spirit, the same God and the same Jesus?”

In addition, Chairman Lee repeatedly emphasised the Bible's message that one should not add to or subtract from the Book of Revelation, and emphasised that pastors must first understand this word and teach it to church members.

Chairman Lee said:-
“It is written that one must not add to or subtract from the Book of Revelation. So, in order not to add to or subtract from this Book of Revelation, it must be taught. Then, shouldn't you know and understand the Word and teach it to your congregation members?”

Chairman Lee also stressed the importance of the times, saying, “When the prophecy wasn't fulfilled, there was nothing to offer, but now that it has been fulfilled and there is a reality, we can clearly explain the reality according to scripture. I hope you understand the Word and teach it well to your congregations.”

Many of the pastors who attended that day were veteran pastors in their 50s and 60s, and even in their 80s. These are people who have been preaching from the Bible for decades. Yet, the reason why Chairman Lee's lecture was well received was because it quenched the unresolved thirst for 'faith' and 'theology'. The pastors who heard and confirmed the reality as well as the unresolved secrets (mysteries) and true meaning of the Book of Revelation agreed that they should spread the Gospel of Shincheonji.

One pastor in attendance said, “This is the first time I've heard such a sermon in 40 years of religious practice. The scope of the lectures given by ordinary pastors is limited to other Bible passages and they neglect the Book of Revelation. I was fascinated to listen to every content (testified by Chairman Lee). It was so logical and orderly. I plan to go and speak to many fellow pastors about the fulfilment of the prophecies recorded in the Book of Revelation and personally learn about them in depth.”

Another pastor in attendance said, “As a pastor for 40 years, I have held positions at the General Assembly and run a church, but I admit that I did not teach and neglected the Book of Revelation.”

He continued, “I know from the outside that there are many people who misunderstand Chairman Lee's position as a religious leader, but when I came here and listened to his words, I discovered that that is simply not true. In the end, there was no mention of him being the saviour or only 144,000 people who are going to be saved and go to heaven. On the contrary, there is a promised great multitude, that is, a lot of people, who need to know the Word.”

He added, “I came to the realisation that I want to lead by sharing the misunderstandings with others and live a correct life of faith by understanding and spreading the word correctly in this era of Revelation, which is the era of the new heaven and new earth.”
