What is a 'Liar' Who Lives Outside the City of Heaven? (Shincheonji Church)

📰The Bible is one of the best-selling and most widely distributed books in history, yet it is also considered to be among the least understood. The Bible, which is referred to as the New Covenant and Promise of God, in which 'the way to heaven and salvation' is presented, differs in theologians' interpretations that make it difficult to understand. These differing interpretations have been the cause of the rise of denominations with each one establishing their own doctrine. With the increase in online church services and gatherings resulting from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, there has been growing interest in the comparison of various church doctrine. This paper, therefore, attempts to provide readers with the opportunity to compare differing Biblical teachings without interpretation. Among a host of online sermons and Bible-based teachings, the contrasting doctrine between the established Church and Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which has drawn public interest throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, is hereby compared and summarised. Best efforts have been made to provide a summary of Shincheonji Church of Jesus' understanding of the Bible. Judgment as to what is right or wrong is left to the reader’s discernment.

"To lie is to add one's arbitrary thoughts, or commentaries, to the correct meaning of the Bible. Pastors who teach such lies kill the human spirit"

Those who lie cannot enter heaven and receive punishment in hell. Does this mean that if one lies, one will go to hell?

The dictionary's definition of a 'lie' is to create a false or misleading impression that something is true, when it is not.

God says that the word is God in John 1:1, and that the word is Jesus in 1 John 1:1-2. Since the Word is God and Jesus, the words that are taught according to one's arbitrary interpretation, which thereby distorts the Word, becomes a 'true lie'. Proverbs 30:6 tells us not to add to God's word as doing so is a lie. God warns that if one preaches another gospel, that person will be cursed (Gal. 1:8), and if one adds to or subtracts from the words of Revelation, one will be cursed and will not be able to enter the kingdom of heaven (Rev. 22:18-19).

Lies go against the Holy Spirit, and such a sin cannot be forgiven (see 1 John 5:17, Matthew 12:31~32). This is because a lie that is taught distorts the Word of God. It is spiritual murder that kills a person's soul because that person who was destined to go to heaven is now being led to hell.

Let's look at the background of who speaks the truth and who lies, and why.

God created the heavens and all things and is the one who gives life and blessings to all creation (Genesis 1:1, Deut. 30:19-20). However, the devil is a created being created by God, and one who betrays and opposes to make himself God (Ezekiel 28). The devil deceived Adam and Eve, who were created by God, with lies (Genesis 3), and made everything that Adam and Eve received from God his own. Until now, he has been pretending to be the Creator.

On the other hand, God speaks the truth because he must recover everything He created. Therefore, God is the one who speaks the truth, and the devil is the one who speaks lies.

As seen in John 14:24 2000 years ago, Jesus, whom God was with, spoke the truth. Howeverthe Pharisees lied because the devil was with them according to John 8:44.

The Pharisees, who were false pastors, committed spiritual murder that killed the spirits of the physical Israelites by deceiving them with lies. Jesus revealed the identity of the Pharisees through his testimony in Matthew 23, and fought and overcame them, thereby saving the captive people and creating the kingdom and people of God, which is spiritual Israel.

Today, at the Second Coming of the Lord, who is the liar and who has the true word?

In Revelation 1, the tabernacle of the seven golden lampstands that prepare the way for the Lord appears, but as we see in Revelation 2~3, they broke the covenant with God and betray. For this reason, in Revelation 13, false pastors, which is the beast with seven heads and ten horns belonging to the dragon, come out to blaspheme God and commit spiritual murder that kills the spirits of heaven's pastors and congregation members with lies.

As a result, all nations were deceived and became a dwelling place for demons (Rev. 17-18).

However, there is a witness who saw and heard all these events at that time; the male child, born of the woman, who fought and overcame Satan's false pastors, the group of the dragon, in Revelation 12 with the blood of the Lamb and the word of testimony (Rev. 12:11).

Therefore, the dragon was cast out of heaven, and God calls out the captive people through the promised pastor - the one who overcomes - in order to create a new kingdom and new people of God. In Revelation chapter 15, it is written that it is at the Tabernacle of the Testimony where all nations will come and worship, and in Revelation chapter 21 this is recorded as the new heaven and new earth, Shincheonji.

On the other hand, the group of the dragon that was expelled from heaven, enters the pastors of the traditional churches in the world ('sea'), and again commit spiritual murder, killing peoples' spirits with countless lies.

Since Shincheonji's promised pastor must speak the truth, he has created 100 counter-testimonies of their false doctrines to make known who God's pastor is and who the devil's pastors are.

"Pastors, employees, soldiers and couples all lie. It's whoever lives an immoral and sinful life"
Korean Church

Pastor A of the Presbyterian Church
"People can pray so much, but when one looks into the Bible, people and even pastors lie with their lips. Look at companies and at society. It's all a lie. It was all a lie when I went to the army. Everything was a lie. Even couples lie. But between the pastor and the congregation, lying is not allowed. It is very bad to lie, and it is even written that all those who do this are outside the city. It is written, "those outside the city."

Pastor B of the Methodist Church
"Jesus said in Revelation 22:15 that the dogs, those who practise magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practises falsehood will all be those outside the city. That means that all those who live an immoral and sinful life will be outside the city."
