Shincheonji Cheongju Church reproduces the success of the '100,000 Graduation Ceremony' through a special photo exhibition

The graduation ceremony of Class 113 of Zion Christian Mission Center of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, held on November 20 at Daegu Stadium, produced a total of 106,186 graduates, which is the largest number by any theological education institution. It has stunned the religious community.

The success of the graduation ceremony, which surprised the locals of Daegu and citizens throughout South Korea with its meticulously orderly appearance amid a gazes of concern, has continued through photo exhibitions held across the country.

From the 15th to the 18th, the special photo exhibition of the '100,000 Graduation Ceremony of the 12 Tribes of Shincheonji, Class 113 of Zion Christian Mission Center' held at Cheongju Church (Matthias tribe) welcomed a staggering 4,517 visitors in 4 days. In the photo exhibition, visitors were treated to an insight into the graduation ceremony not only through photos of the graduation ceremony, but also various booths and photo zones. The exhibition received positive reviews from visitors. 

In particular, the docents at the photo exhibition were praised for having cleared up existing misunderstandings and prejudices about Shincheonji according to theme, and for having answered in-depth questions about 'religion' with simple and fun explanations. 

The photo exhibition planned by Cheongju Church consists of three main themes: ▲ 100,000 Graduation Ceremony of the 12 Tribes of Shincheonji, Class 113 of Zion Christian Mission Center ▲ Shincheonji to the World ▲ 'Light to the World'.

The first theme is the '100,000 Graduation Ceremony of the 12 Tribes of Shincheonji, Class 113 of Zion Christian Mission Center' where you can vividly sense the experience from the perspective of the 106,186 graduates. The second theme is entitled 'Shincheonji to the World', which introduces the Zion Christian Mission Center, the graduation process and its meaning, and examines the meaning and composition of the 12 tribes of Shincheonji, especially Matthias tribe. The final theme is entitled 'Light to the World', which is comprised of the process and results of the life-sharing 'Life ON' blood donation campaign, which was listed in the Guinness World Record, and the activities of Shincheonji Volunteer Group which carries out the love of Jesus to one's neighbour through initiatives and projects.

Through this, Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which has been created according to the Bible, has highlighted the value of the Zion Christian Mission Center's 100,000 Graduation Ceremony that has taken the religious world by storm, and the value of the activities of Shincheonji, who are putting the teachings of Jesus into practice.

Eun-mi Ha (pseudonym, Gyeong-dong Ka), who visited the photo exhibition with her daughter, said, “I had been dissatisfied with my daughter attending Shincheonji because of the misunderstandings about Shincheonji.” “I was very surprised by what I discovered at the exhibition.” She continued, “I realised I had discarded the words of the Bible and not given serious thought to my faith, despite attending church for 30 years.”

Jonathan (30s) from the United States drew attention by participating in a photo exhibition with a docent along with an interpreter. He said, “Looking at the exhibition, I'm just amazed at how these things can be achieved by one church.” He said, “I’ve been to church since I was young, but this is on another level. Now I'm going to start a life of faith in Shincheonji.”

The head instructor of Shincheonji Cheongju Church said, “I hope that through this photo exhibition of the 100,000 Graduation Ceremony, which has surprised the world, you can gain a 'correct understanding' of Shincheonji and feel the vivid emotions of the day's graduation ceremony.” “I hope people who came to the exhibition will study the words of God and participate in this history as future graduate students,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Zion Christian Mission Center, established in 1990, is a Bible education institute of Shincheonji Church of Jesus that teaches the Bible for free. Zion Christian Mission Center produced 103,764 graduates at the Class 110 graduation ceremony in 2019, and produced another 100,000 graduates in 3 years at this year’s Class 113 graduation ceremony, held for the first time since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), producing another 100,000 graduates.
