We Are One, Gangwon, 'Live ON Youth ON' blood donation campaign

[Cheonji Ilbo = Reporter Hyeon-bok Lee] The Gangwon branch of Shincheonji Youth Volunteer Group 'We Are One' participated in a group blood donation from the 27th, marking the start of the 'Live ON Youth ON' blood donation campaign at blood centres located in Gangwon, Chungcheong, and some areas of Gyeonggi Province.

This blood donation campaign was prepared to commemorate the official launch of the Shincheonji Youth Volunteer Group 'We Are One' on July 30th, and to spread a culture for the protection and safeguarding of life, and to contribute to stabilising blood supply levels in Korea.

To this end, Shincheonji Youth Volunteer Group, We Are One, has set the time period for an intensive round of blood donation as August 27 to September 4 (9 days).

In response, 952 members of We Are One, Gangwon, participated in a collective blood donation from the 27th to the 29th from nine branches (Chungju, Chuncheon, Gangneung, Donghae, Sokcho, Jecheon, Cheongpyeong, Namyangju, Yangpyeong) including the Wonju branch, and 751 members completed the group blood donation.

Moreover, We Are One (Gangwon), is aiming for about 4,900 donors within the next three months until November 27th at the following locations:▲ Wonju Medical Centre, Terminal Centre, Sangji Centre and Bloodmobile ▲ Chungju Branch: Chungju Centre and Bloodmobile ▲Chuncheon Branch: Gangwon University Centre, Bomnae Centre, Chuncheon Myeongdong Centre, Bloodmobile ▲ Gangneung Branch: Gangneung Centre, Bloodmobile ▲ East Branch: Gangneung Centre, Bloodmobile ▲ Sokcho Branch: Gangneung Centre, Bloodmobile ▲ Jecheon Branch: Chungju Centre and Wonju Terminal Centre, Bloodmobile ▲ Cheongpyeong Branch Dasan Centre, Guri Centre and Bloodmobile ▲ Namyang Branch Dasan Centre▲ Yangpyeong Branch Dasan Centre and Bloodmobile.

Wonju branch member Yoon-sun Jo, who participated in this We Are One blood donation campaign, said, “I've always wanted to share the love I received from God and Jesus to the world. I am grateful for the opportunity to share it with you.”

The head of Shincheonji Youth Volunteer Group We Are One (Gangwon), Chairman Tae-hee Kang, said, “I hope that the effort by each and every person of 'We Are One' youth group will become exemplary and known around the world, at a time when Korea and people worldwide are in need of much blood.” This blood donation campaign, launched by We Are One Volunteer Group, which is the largest youth organisation in the world, plans to have 70,000 people (in Korea) donate blood at 128 blood donation centres and bloodmobiles over the course of three months.

Blood donations and blood donor rights generated through this campaign will be voluntarily gifted where needed in consultation with local blood centres.
