The revealed word of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus) is moving the hearts of pastors in South Korea and overseas. Following the inaugural Shincheonji Bible lecture, 'Testimony on the Fulfillment of Revelation' held in Seoul on the 22nd April, a second followed for the benefit of pastors in Busan. Today, the 6th May, a third lecture was held in the city of Daejeon.
Shincheonji's first major in-person lecture in 4 years is drawing unusually high attention from pastors in Korea, with about 500 ministers, including pastors and evangelists, in Seoul and 150 in Busan in attendance.
At 4:00 pm today, the 6th May, at the KT Human Resources Development Center in Daejeon, at the site of the 'Shincheonji Open Bible Seminar on the Testimony on the Fulfillment of Revelation', there were over 500 pastors and church members from various denominations, including the Presbyterian Church, Methodist Church, and Full Gospel Church from Daejeon, Gwangju, and Jeonju, as well as Chungnam and North Jeolla Province, and South Jeolla Province in attendance.
The Book of Revelation presents a 'challenge' in the religious world, as most of Revelation is recorded in figurative language - metaphors - that are difficult to understand and cannot be easily interpreted. Even the interpretations among well-known pastors are very different, adding to the confusion among believers.
However, Chairman Lee testified of the fulfilment of the prophecies of the Book of Revelation at this Open Bible Seminar, receiving a great response from the attendees.
Chairman Lee pointed out that “Currently, Christianity is adding to and subtracting from the Book of Revelation”, and gave a detailed explanation of the prophecy and fulfilled reality of each chapter from 1 to 22, with its core contents, as well as the outline and order of fulfilment. Chairman Lee emphasised that we must clearly know and keep the promise given by God, the contents of the Bible's Revelation.
It is rumoured that a significant number of former and current pastors who attended this seminar are forming a deep consensus on the need to know the book of Revelation which, according to a pastor from the established church in Korea, “has been neglected because we did not know its meaning.”
It is pointed out even within the religious world that the Korean church pays little attention to the book of Revelation, the last prophetic book of the New Testament. In fact, an official from the religious community analysed, “The fact that pastors are flocking to the 'Open Bible Seminar on the Testimony on the Fulfillment of Revelation' held by the Chairman of Shincheonji is a phenomenon that the religious world needs to wake up to.” He said, “The Korean church is too passive in interpreting the Book of Revelation and teaching about the end times.” “Since the mention itself is taboo, not only church members with curiosity but also pastors are looking for teachings, and so they take a step forward to the Open Bible Seminar.”
An official from Shincheonji Church of Jesus said, “Many pastors who are hungry for an understanding of the Book of Revelation have been listening to the words of Shincheonji Church of Jesus and requesting MOUs. We hope this will serve as an opportunity for us to think about what kind of faith is desirable according to the will of God and Jesus and put it into practice.”
The Open Bible Seminar of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, 'Testimony on the Fulfillment of Revelation', is being broadcast live on the official YouTube channel of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, and will conclude on the 13th in Incheon.
Shincheonji demonstrated the excellence of its teaching with 100,000 graduation ceremonies in 2019 and 2022, and as of the end of March, a total of 5300 pastors (230 in Korea) signed MOUs with Shincheonji to have the words of Shincheonji taught to their congregations and 280 overseas churches changing their signboards to the name 'Shincheonji'.
