Shincheonji Church of Jesus regularly opens its doors to the public in order to lecture on a range of Bible-based topics, especially on the Book of Revelation, to foster deeper ties with communities and address misunderstandings and prejudices about Shincheonji by the Christian community in South Korea.

To this end, on the 6th July, the 'Love Flower Festival' was held at Shincheonji Gwangju Church (Peter Tribe) to an audience of about 1000 citizens, who overcame temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius and the muggy weather brought on by the monsoon rains.

The Love Flower Festival is a cultural experience that reflects on the importance of family and loved ones through the medium of performance and on the true meaning and value of life.

'Life Bus 9010', inspired by Psalm 90:10, which records the transience and futility of life, presented a colourful performance with the collaboration of over 70 performers ranging from comedy to singing and dancing. The themes covered love, marriage and parenthood. Arguably the most evocative message was 'How can we live beautifully?', delivered to the audience through a display of the most regrettable, sad, and touching moments in life that everyone experiences.

Su-jin Kim (female), who played everything from a priest to a middle-aged wife, said, “I hope that the audience will be comforted and gain strength from the performance in their difficult and tiring lives.”

Another member of the performance group said, “I hope today's guests will leave our church feeling that we are no different from other churches.”

A citizen who watched this performance said, “Watching the musical, I was reminded that life is fleeting - we are born and eventually die,” and added, “I need to think about how to find future happiness.”

The leader of the Peter Tribe said, “Shincheonji Church of Jesus only uses the Bible as its standard and believes in the teachings of the Bible, so many people are listening to the word and believing in it.”
