Shincheonji Asan Church Conducts Voluntary 'Sharing Gifts of Love' Initiative at a Facility for People with Disabilities

[Cheonji Ilbo Asan = Reporter Joo-Hwan Park] On the 5th, Shincheonji Asan Church PR team (Matthias tribe) visited a gentle house (a facility for people with severe disabilities) located in Seonjang-myeon and conducted its 'sharing gifts of love' initiative under the theme 'creating coloured salt'.

The initiative that day was carried out to aid the emotional growth of people with disabilities by harmonising the human senses of sight, hearing and touch and communication through the process of dyeing salt with colour.

Hanjip Onew, the secretary general, who participated in the volunteer activities, said, “I am grateful for the service that has been carried out according to the level that our residents with severe disabilities are at.

Jaejoon Byun, head lecturer at Asan Church, said, “Through this event, we are doing our best to put into practice the love of Jesus, who is the light and salt to those in need of attention and love.”

The event was conducted safely and smoothly in strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines as it was targeted at facility residents, who are vulnerable to infection.
