Shincheonji Volunteer Group (SVG) continues to make national headlines for their outreach efforts throughout the Republic of Korea. SVG belongs to Shincheonji Church of Jesus, The Temple of the Tabernacle of The Testimony (hereafter 'Shincheonji church') and has 200,000 volunteers in 72 branches worldwide serving communities through a range of projects, campaigns and initiatives focused on environmental conservation, blood donation, provision of medical aid, war veterans' support, elderly care and public service. In the first half of 2019, 60,000 volunteers catered to the needs of 80,000 people.

In a recent article published by Cheonji Ilbo on 5th September, it was reported that SVG's Seodaemun branch had provided services to its elderly neighbours through one of its initiatives in Bukahyeon neighbourhood, Seodaemun district, Seoul. 17 SVG members provided twenty senior citizens with services including basic health checkups, beauty treatment, nail art and massage therapy. SVG's efforts have become a monthly custom in Sodaemun district and come in the lead-up to the Chuseok holidays. (Chuseok, literally "Autumn eve", is a major harvest festival and a three-day Korean Thanksgiving Day celebrated in both North and South Korea).

Mrs. Dae-hee Kim of SVG said, "The reason we are doing this is to put God and Jesus' command to love into practice. We are so grateful to have the opportunity to serve here every month."

Since its establishment in 2006, SVG has initiated a number of initiatives, campaigns and projects that serve communities nationwide and overseas, including:-
▶️'Health Doctor': free medical examinations to maintain the health of citizens; particularly the vulnerable
▶️'Protect the green nature’: an environmental preservation campaign
▶️'Beautiful senior, Bravo life!’: cultural programme for senior citizens
▶️'Love for all nations and Sharing of peace’: for reunification of the Korean peninsula
▶️'Wall-Painting Stories with Hope’: converting thousands of kilometres of dilapidated murals
▶️'Driving while drowsy Prevention': helping underline the dangers of driving under fatigue
▶️'Pink Cloth Delivering Warmth': home-delivery of healthy lunches to the marginalised
▶️‘Shincheonji Multicultural Center’: spreading of traditional Korean culture to foreign residents
