Why is Zion Christian Mission Center growing so rapidly?
Zion Christian Mission Center - the theological department of Shincheonji Church of Jesus - was established in Korea in 1990 for the purpose of providing systematic, high-quality Bible education to anyone seeking to understand the Bible. The first Zion Christian Mission Center graduation took place in 1991 with just a few dozen graduates. Its most recent graduation was for 5945 students who now belong to Shincheonji Church of Jesus. How can a church - which has an average monthly intake of 3000 graduates - grow so rapidly in an era of global disillusionment towards religion?
An interview with the head of Zion Christian Mission Center explains the reasons for such growth. Although we live in the most scientifically and technologically advanced era, science can not satisfy man's innate desire for answers to life's deepest questions including where we find our purpose, "truth" and freedom. Zion Christian Mission Center is able to answer all these questions clearly from the Bible. This is why recent graduates feel they have met "true religion."
The six-month Bible study course covers beginners, intermediate and advanced levels which teaches ways to read the Bible, its history, and the meaning of the books of Revelation and Genesis, respectively. Each level is followed by a short exam with two further exams given at the end of the course comprising 400 questions.
The Bible is able to answer God's character, His will and purpose, suffering and happiness of man, the resolution to the cycle of death and who I am according to it. It is through this process that one can have full faith in God and in the Bible, and help people be re-born as true believers.
Although the six-month programme is testing in many ways, people are craving to understand the Bible and truth, as evidenced by the fact that believers are leaving their traditional churches - where Biblical teaching has deteriorated - and 3000 people are registering monthly into the mission centres.
The doors of the Zion Christian Mission Center are open to all people - irrespective of age or religion. The word of God is taught freely to those with thirsty hearts and one's life can only be enriched with clear and deep faith in God.
