Overview: Seoul & Gyeonggi Joint Graduation for Class 108 of Zion Christian Mission Center (5945 students!)

by - 12:30

Last Sunday, 5945 people living in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon took part in a graduation ceremony held at a church (John tribe) in Gwacheon, Korea. After having completed an intensive six-month Bible study, these students - from Korea, Japan, Indonesia, China and Vietnam - now belong to the 12 tribes of Shincheonji Church of Jesus according to Jesus’ promises recorded in the New Testament. They are the reality of the promised harvested firstfruits in Revelation 14.

Before students began the six-month Bible study, 33% would have defined themselves as having ‘no faith’, according to a survey carried out by Shincheonji Church of Jesus. Now they are believers in the Bible and in God’s promise, and have mastered its contents. As one representative of Shincheonji Church of Jesus said, “it’s not just about reading or memorising verses, but actually understanding the hidden meaning of the Bible, which has finally been opened after 2000 years.” Isn’t this a miracle and a sign of God’s love?

The reason this work of re-creation is taking place at this time is because God is restoring everything He has lost. In the words of the pastor of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, delivered during his sermon: “This is a process of creation that we are completing today. God, the Creator of heaven and earth, is recreating what has become corrupt.” Although God has been doing the work of re-creation throughout the 6000 years of Biblical history, the difference in today’s generation is that there will be no more corruption and everything will be made new eternally.

Through the testimony of one graduate, the graduation ceremony helped expose the lies spread by coercive conversion pastors of the Christian Council of Korea (CCK) and Christian Broadcasting System (CBS) about Shincheonji Church of Jesus. From a young age, Ms. Jin-Ju Lee had attended a traditional Korean church with her mother and listened to many pastors’ sermons about heresy and cults - more than anything that was recorded in the Bible. After she heard that her mother had begun attending Shincheonji Church of Jesus, her beliefs about it were affirmed through CBS’ March 2015 broadcast “People who fell into Shincheonji” (which was later ruled by the Supreme Court as consisting of false and groundless accusations, ordering CBS to pay damages and retract their broadcast). She was even advised by CCK pastors to disown her mother and tried taking her life in front of her. The seed of lies about Shincheonji Church of Jesus had been sown so deeply in her heart. However, after being slowly introduced to the Biblical teachings of Shincheonji Church of Jesus by her mother, she began to study the word of God and is now working to help bring other Christians in Korea to the truth of the Bible. As she said during her testimony, “I was stuck in a flood of lies, not being able to distinguish between what was true and what was false. As I studied the Bible, I was, for the first time in my life, able to understand the Bible, and I was able to realise God’s mystery and objective. There wasn’t a single thing that was not Biblical. It was the clear word of truth that I couldn’t refute.”

God desires for all people to know the truth about the Bible at this time. I hope readers will realise this💓
