Zion Christian Mission Center - the theological department of Shincheonji Church of Jesus - was established in Korea in 1990 for the purpose of providing systematic, high-quality Bible education to anyone seeking to understand the Bible. The first Zion Christian Mission Center graduation took place in 1991 with just a few dozen graduates. Its most recent graduation was for 5945 students who now belong to Shincheonji Church of Jesus. How can a church - which has an average monthly intake of 3000 graduates - grow so rapidly in an era of global disillusionment towards religion?

An interview with the head of Zion Christian Mission Center explains the reasons for such growth. Although we live in the most scientifically and technologically advanced era, science can not satisfy man's innate desire for answers to life's deepest questions including where we find our purpose, "truth" and freedom. Zion Christian Mission Center is able to answer all these questions clearly from the Bible. This is why recent graduates feel they have met "true religion."

The six-month Bible study course covers beginners, intermediate and advanced levels which teaches ways to read the Bible, its history, and the meaning of the books of Revelation and Genesis, respectively. Each level is followed by a short exam with two further exams given at the end of the course comprising 400 questions.
The Bible is able to answer God's character, His will and purpose, suffering and happiness of man, the resolution to the cycle of death and who I am according to it. It is through this process that one can have full faith in God and in the Bible, and help people be re-born as true believers.

Although the six-month programme is testing in many ways, people are craving to understand the Bible and truth, as evidenced by the fact that believers are leaving their traditional churches - where Biblical teaching has deteriorated - and 3000 people are registering monthly into the mission centres.

The doors of the Zion Christian Mission Center are open to all people - irrespective of age or religion. The word of God is taught freely to those with thirsty hearts and one's life can only be enriched with clear and deep faith in God.

The Christian Council of Korea (CCK) has declared war against Shincheonji Church of Jesus (hereon Shincheonji), while Shincheonji has declared peace. How do these two Christian organisations differ? Let us check according to the Bible.

Firstly, we should examine the roots of these two organisations. The CCK is based on the teachings of the 16th century theologian, John Calvin, who established Calvinism (an offshoot of Presbyterianism) and killed men, women and children who opposed his beliefs on predestination. During the Japanese occupation of Korea (1910-1945), the Korean Presbyterian Church sided with the occupiers by bowing down to their shrines and acted as informants by selling them weapons for use against their own people. Just like King Solomon (1Kings 11), they worshipped false gods, and, like Israel, Korea was divided in two. The CCK was later founded in December 1989 with Presbyterianism as its main power source.

Shincheonji, on the other hand, has appeared according to what Jesus promised in the New Testament. It is the church where the harvested firstfruits gather and are sealed (Revelation 14, 7 respectively) and can testify to the fulfilment of the entire Book of Revelation through the logical process of 5Ws and 1H. Moreover, Shincheonji can explain the meaning of the entire 66 books of the Bible.

Ironically, although CCK believes in Jesus as the fulfilment of the Old Testament promises, but they do not believe in the one Jesus as the fulfilment of the New Testament promises. The CCK teaches according to its pastors’ thoughts and is sowing lies into the hearts of its congregation members in an attempt to keep tight rein of their power and authority. Like Calvin, they have tried to forcibly convert Shincheonji believers and murdered two people and kidnapped over 1200 in the process through their coercive conversion programme (see previous articles). This is all being committed beneath the guise of religion. Moreover, 571 of their pastors have been sentenced for crimes in the last four years including fraud, drink-driving, sexual assault and murder. Following dozens of rallies worldwide, the United Nations and many global religious leaders are now decrying their practice.

The only way to salvation is going to the place God and Jesus have promised in the New Testament. 600BC, God promised that he would create a 'new thing' (Jeremiah 31:22). This was fulfilled by Jesus Christ, who sowed God’s seed (Matthew 13:24-30) and promised to return to harvest its fruits (Matthew 13:30, Revelation 14:14-16). Today, at the time of the fulfilment of the New Testament prophecies 2000 years later, these firstfruits are being harvested into God's new kingdom and sealed with the word of God (Revelation 7). Shincheonji Church has mastered the prophecies of the New Testament Revelation, according to God's promise, and this word of God is being delivered freely without cost through the mouth of the messenger (promised pastor) promised by Jesus Christ (Revelation 22:16).

5945 students graduated from Zion Christian Mission Center of Shincheonji Church of Jesus in Gwacheon, Korea, on Sunday 18th November, following completion of an intensive six-month Bible study programme.

The fundamental difference between Zion Christian Mission Center of Shincheonji Church of Jesus - which welcomes an average of 20,000 people of all races, nationalities, ages and creed into its doors yearly - and the theological seminaries of the established Korean Church is that the former nurtures believers whose walk of faith is based entirely on the words of the Bible without any reference to man's commentaries.

In his search for a true understanding of scripture, Mr. Kim (38) majored in theology at university, embarked on a life of faith as a Jehovah's Witness for thirteen years and later as a Methodist for three years. During his studies at the theological seminary, he acquired much knowledge about the history of the Old Testament, dialectics, the culture of civilisations (Hammurabis) and the many theories constructed by theologians. However, their teaching comprised predominantly of doctrine and philosophy and was rarely Biblical. He realised that the seminary was a place that cultivates theological research and trained pastors to depend on their intellect to help run their churches. Then one day, Mr. Kim came to Zion Christian Mission Center where he discovered the "absoluteness" of the Bible and the clarity of God's work and will. In his words, "The seminary is a place that cultivates theologians and pastors, whilst Zion Christian Mission Center cultivates true believers."

Following completion of an intensive six-month Bible study programme, 5945 students graduated from Zion Christian Mission Center Class 108 of Shincheonji Church of Jesus in Gwacheon, Korea, on Sunday 18th November. Friends and family attended the graduation ceremony and theology academics were invited to speak. It also showcased beautiful dance performances with impressive visuals.

The fact that the number of graduates was so high is an implicit rejection of the teachings of the established denominations in Korean Christianity today. The six-month Bible study taught at Zion Christian Mission Center covers the Bible in its entirety from Genesis to Revelation with the themes of history, instruction, prophecy and fulfilment. It is only through perceiving the process of prophecy and fulfilment that one can plainly perceive the will of God. Everything is taught according to the Bible without any external commentaries. In theological seminaries, on the other hand, students are only taught man’s different interpretations of the Bible without being able to provide any evidence of the fulfilment/reality of the prophecies recorded in the New Testament. Moreover, all 5945 graduates at Shincheonji Church of Jesus passed a stringent examination process, demonstrating a solid understanding of the word of God. It is no exaggeration to say that the Biblical knowledge of these graduates far exceeds that of any theologian in the Christian world anywhere. Such a bold statement can only be made because Shincheonji Church of Jesus has appeared according to the promises of the New Testament.

The rapid growth of Shincheonji Church of Jesus has been perceived as a threat to the vested interests of the existing church in Korea. The Christian Council of Korea (CCK), which has slandered Shincheonji Church of Jesus for years, has used Christian Broadcasting System (CBS) and other Christian media as trumpets to spread lies to the people of Korea in an attempt to keep firm hold of their position and authority within the toxic mesh of religion and politics. Such allegations have been ruled as false and groundless by the Supreme Court. CCK - currently embroiled in deep division as 531 of its pastors have been convicted of crimes including fraud, forgery, sexual assault and even murder over the last four years - is fast losing its congregation as they perceive their lies. They once numbered 12million at its peak and have now fallen to 1.8million.

In spite of such resistance, Shincheonji Church of Jesus continues to grow rapidly with an average annual increase of 20,000 people. According to a survey carried out by Shincheonji Church of Jesus that involved a sample of 2000 graduates, the reasons are clear. 72.6% (1453) were “very satisfied” with the teachings of the Bible and 22% (441) were “satisfied”. Only seven students were "unsatisfied" and four "very dissatisfied” (0.5% total). The reasons why graduates were so pleased with the teaching were due to "high standards" (79.45%:1589), "systemised curriculum" (9.8%:196), "individually-tailored teaching" (6.1%:122), "miscellaneous" (4.65%:93) and "free education without cost" (2.45%:49). It should be noted that 27.7% (544) of the total sample responded that they received interruptions and persecution by friends and family during the six-month Bible study, but the reason they endured through it is because of “the logic of the word" (88.2%).

Shincheonji Volunteer Group (SVG) is continuing to reach out to local communities throughout 67 cities in South Korea. On October 9th 2018, the Daejeon branch of Shincheonji Church of Jesus hosted an outdoor event in central Daejeon - a central-Korean city with an estimated 1.5million inhabitants and 50minutes from Seoul by train - entitled Hangeul: Who Can Speak It in the Most Elegant Way? This event was held in commemoration of the founding of the Korean alphabet over 570 years ago, which had also helped people of that time to read Chinese characters. Since 2013, October 9th has become a national holiday in South Korea.

The event was held with the specific purpose of informing people young and old about the importance and correct usage of Hangeul in an era when the Korean language is often colloquialised into shortened forms. Activities included spelling tests and consonant-only Tetris. Maintenance of the Korean language will become very important when, in the words of a congregation member of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, “Shincheonji people will help Christians realize the true meaning of the Bible given by God.”

Last Sunday, 5945 people living in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon took part in a graduation ceremony held at a church (John tribe) in Gwacheon, Korea. After having completed an intensive six-month Bible study, these students - from Korea, Japan, Indonesia, China and Vietnam - now belong to the 12 tribes of Shincheonji Church of Jesus according to Jesus’ promises recorded in the New Testament. They are the reality of the promised harvested firstfruits in Revelation 14.

Before students began the six-month Bible study, 33% would have defined themselves as having ‘no faith’, according to a survey carried out by Shincheonji Church of Jesus. Now they are believers in the Bible and in God’s promise, and have mastered its contents. As one representative of Shincheonji Church of Jesus said, “it’s not just about reading or memorising verses, but actually understanding the hidden meaning of the Bible, which has finally been opened after 2000 years.” Isn’t this a miracle and a sign of God’s love?

The reason this work of re-creation is taking place at this time is because God is restoring everything He has lost. In the words of the pastor of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, delivered during his sermon: “This is a process of creation that we are completing today. God, the Creator of heaven and earth, is recreating what has become corrupt.” Although God has been doing the work of re-creation throughout the 6000 years of Biblical history, the difference in today’s generation is that there will be no more corruption and everything will be made new eternally.

Through the testimony of one graduate, the graduation ceremony helped expose the lies spread by coercive conversion pastors of the Christian Council of Korea (CCK) and Christian Broadcasting System (CBS) about Shincheonji Church of Jesus. From a young age, Ms. Jin-Ju Lee had attended a traditional Korean church with her mother and listened to many pastors’ sermons about heresy and cults - more than anything that was recorded in the Bible. After she heard that her mother had begun attending Shincheonji Church of Jesus, her beliefs about it were affirmed through CBS’ March 2015 broadcast “People who fell into Shincheonji” (which was later ruled by the Supreme Court as consisting of false and groundless accusations, ordering CBS to pay damages and retract their broadcast). She was even advised by CCK pastors to disown her mother and tried taking her life in front of her. The seed of lies about Shincheonji Church of Jesus had been sown so deeply in her heart. However, after being slowly introduced to the Biblical teachings of Shincheonji Church of Jesus by her mother, she began to study the word of God and is now working to help bring other Christians in Korea to the truth of the Bible. As she said during her testimony, “I was stuck in a flood of lies, not being able to distinguish between what was true and what was false. As I studied the Bible, I was, for the first time in my life, able to understand the Bible, and I was able to realise God’s mystery and objective. There wasn’t a single thing that was not Biblical. It was the clear word of truth that I couldn’t refute.”

God desires for all people to know the truth about the Bible at this time. I hope readers will realise this💓

Drug dealing, drink-driving, fraud, sexual assault and murder: these are not crimes one would typically associate with a religious leader. Yet, in the last four years, 531 pastors from South Korea's main Christian body - the Christian Council of Korea (CCK) - have been sentenced for such crimes. Yes, pastors.

What are the roots of the CCK? Founded in December 1989, the CCK is based on the Presbyterian teachings of the 16th century theologian, John Calvin. Following the division of Protestantism into many denominations that included Presbyterianism, Calvin asserted his theory of predestination and killed men, women and children who opposed his beliefs. Much later, during the Japanese occupation of Korea (1910-1945), the Presbyterian Church sided with the occupiers by bowing down to their shrines and even acted as informants by selling them weapons for use against their own people. In the same way that Israel had been divided into two after King Solomon worshipped false gods (1Kings 11), Korea was also divided. The subsequent bloody and fratricidal Korean War (1950-1953) tore families apart and has left an indelible scar on the Korean people.

Since its establishment in December 1989, CCK has slandered Shincheonji Church as “anti-nation, anti-religion, anti-social”. In addition to the above mentioned crimes, CCK pastors have sold positions of leadership in an attempt to keep a tight rein over their position and authority, bribed congregation members into voting for them at regional elections, and jostled for power within themselves, leading to an internal split and a significant fall in membership as congregation members leave their church.

Moreover, the CCK has shown little to no respect for matters of religious freedom enshrined within the Korean constitution (Article 20). Like Calvin, they force Shincheonji believers to convert to their Presbyterian doctrine. They have established and implemented a heinous coercive conversion programme which deceives parents into kidnapping, confining and subjecting their child to emotional and psychological abuse until they sign to agree to convert. To date, they have subjected 1200 people to this practice - two of whom were murdered by family members. This is the reality of Christianity in Korea today and an outright violation of human rights in the guise of religion. Following dozens of world rallies, the United Nations and global religious leaders have decried this practice and news is spreading. Who can be truly considered "anti-nation, anti-religion, anti-social"?

Furthermore, in alliance with Christian Broadcasting System (CBS), a documentary entitled “People who fell into Shincheonji Church" was broadcast in March 2015 making numerous allegations about practices within Shincheonji Church. Following Shincheonji Church’s right of reply, the Supreme Court ruled in favour of Shincheonji Church, finding these allegations groundless and ordering CBS to pay damages of 8million won (c.£5500) and retract their initial broadcast by broadcasting a correction report (which they did at 3am, while everyone was asleep - see article “'Exposing CBS' false claims that Shincheonji Church is ‘Anti-Nation, Anti-Social and Anti-Religion’”).

Moreover, CCK and CBS have allied to block Shincheonji Church's numerous works of peace that includes the erection of monuments for the reunification of Korea and the largest hand-printed Korean flag recorded in the Guinness Book of Records. Who is "anti-nation, anti-religion, anti-social"?

Shincheonji Church has had to endure through various sufferings for many years since its establishment in March 1984. Its pastor has fought in the tragic Korean War and, since he was given the command by the heavens forty years ago, he has been testifying the fulfilment of the New Testament prophecies. He is now nearly 90 and is continuing to work with a heavy heart to expose the lies of the CCK and CBS in order to help waken peoples' minds and hearts to the truth about Shincheonji Church and the Bible. Shincheonji Church has invited the CCK to engage in public debate over the Bible on numerous occasions, but they have not once accepted this invitation. Why not?

As the truth is made known, more and more people are flocking in large numbers to Shincheonji Church to receive the word that flows from the mouth of the promised pastor. Judge for yourself according to the standard of the Bible. It is only a matter of time before the CCK and CBS, who have sown the seed of lies into the hearts of their congregation members, crumble and all its members set free. One should discern which church is “anti-nation, anti-religion, anti-social” according to the standard of the Bible and one’s actions.

Today, over 6000 people of different races, creed and age - who have completed an intensive six-month Bible study and related 300-question exam - have graduated from Zion Christian Mission Center class 108 and now belong to one of the twelve tribes of Shincheonji Church. A further 20,000 are expected to graduate before the end of this year. Why has Shincheonji Church grown from 120 congregation members at its founding in March 1984 to over 200,000 today located across several hundred churches worldwide? And why does the Christian Council of Korea (CCK) - founded in December 1989 - continue to diminish in number from a peak of 12 million to 1.8 million today?

The main reason is that Shincheonji Church is the place that God has promised in the New Testament. Because God is the word (John 1:1), everything He intends to do - His promises and will - are recorded in His word. Within the Book of Revelation, God promised to create a new kingdom and people where there will be no more mourning, death, crying or pain. This is the ‘New Heaven New Earth’ in Revelation 21. This process began 2600 years ago when God promised a “new thing” (Jeremiah 31:22). Jesus then fulfilled this prophecy by sowing his seed in the religious world (Matthew 13) and promised to return to harvest its fruit (Matthew 13:30). Today, according to these promises, these firstfruits are being harvested (Revelation 14), sealed with the word of God and belong to one of the twelve tribes of New Heaven New Earth (Revelation 7). God tells us beforehand what He will do so that, when He does it, we can believe (John 14;29). This is the highest truth.

Moreover, the word testified at Shincheonji Church is done so through a promised pastor appointed by God and promised by Jesus Christ 2000 years ago (Revelation 22:16). The teachings are all according to the Bible without any external commentaries.

The CCK, on the other hand, is a Presbyterian organisation founded in December 1989 with its teachings based that of John Calvin who murdered men, women and children who opposed his beliefs on predestination. They have split into several factions with hundreds of pastors embroiled in inner conflict as they jostle for position and authority through bribery, fraud, embezzlement, and other abuses of power. Over the last four years, more than 500 CCK pastors have received sentences for such crimes. Like Calvin, they murdered two people who refused to renounce their beliefs in Shincheonji Church and divided thousands of families by deceiving parents into kidnapping, confining and subjecting their child to emotional or psychological abuse through their coercive conversion programmes. Their actions have already been condemned by the United Nations. Instead of groundlessly labelling Shincheonji Church and their own inner divided factions as a ‘cult’, I hope they can come and listen to the word delivered at Shincheonji Church and be re-born with God’s seed of truth. As Shincheonji Church continues to grow, the truth of traditional Christianity in Korea today will be exposed to more and more people and CCK will crumble. As CCK continues to decrease in number, the Zion Christian Mission Centers of Shincheonji Church of Jesus where people study the truth of the Bible is overflowing with people to the point that there is no more space for students.

On Sunday 18th November, 6000 people of different races, creed and age will gather as graduates of Zion Christian Mission Center class 108 to worship God at John tribe’s Temple in Gwacheon, Korea. These graduates have demonstrated mastery of the Bible through an intensive six-month Bible study and thorough 300-question exam. According to Jesus Christ's promises recorded in Revelation 7 and 14, they now belong to God's new kingdom and people: the 12 tribes of Shincheonji Church (New Heaven New Earth in Revelation 21).

It is no exaggeration to say that Shincheonji Church has appeared according to the promises of the New Testament and is God's will. Since its establishment in March 1984, it has grown from a handful of congregation members to 200,000+ today across several hundred churches worldwide. It is the place where the highest form of true religion is taught without cost (Isaiah 55:1, Revelation 22:17). Moreover, Shincheonji Church puts its beliefs into practice through Shincheonji Volunteer Group (SVG), which is the largest non-governmental organisation operating in the Republic of Korea with over 100,000 volunteers participating in disaster relief, blood donations, war veteran support (six million veterans), regional development and public service campaigns.

It is not by human will that 6000 people have arrived at this place. This has been promised according to the logic of prophecy and fulfilment. Around 600BC, God promised that he would create a 'new thing' (Jeremiah 31:22) for the purpose of saving His creation. This was fulfilled through Jesus Christ, who was born of the seed of God (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:21). Jesus sowed God’s seed (Matthew 13:24-30) and promised to return to harvest its fruits (Matthew 13:30, Revelation 14:14-16). Today, at the time of the fulfilment of the New Testament prophecies 2000 years since Jesus' promises, Jesus is harvesting these firstfruits into God's new kingdom where they are being sealed with the true word of God (Revelation 7). Is this hopeful and miraculous? Yes. This is why Jesus Christ told his disciples ahead of time so that, when they do happen, we would believe in his promises (John 14:29).

So far in 2018, more than 15,000 students have graduated from Zion Christian Mission Center all over the world including Korea, Germany, USA and South Africa. Tomorrow’s ceremony will bring the total beyond 20,000 and a further 20,000 are expected to graduate before the end of this year.

Such growth is in stark contrast to that of the traditional churches in Korea. Whenever God has worked to fulfil His will, the devil has always worked even harder to stop it (Galatians 4:29). 2000 years ago, the religious authorities (Pharisees, Sadducees and Teachers of the Law - Jesus’ own people) persecuted him and hung him on a cross. Today, the Christian Council of Korea (CCK) does the same to Shincheonji Church. How do these two organisations differ? The CCK is founded on the teachings of John Calvin (calvinism), who murdered men, women and children who opposed his beliefs in predestination. It has split into several denominations with pastors feeding their congregation members different interpretations - adding to and taking away from the true meaning of the prophecies recorded in the Book of Revelation - and fed its congregation members with 200 lies about the Bible, which Shincheonji Church has countered. Moreover, CCK pastors have committed 12,000 crimes in the last ten years including fraud, drink-driving, sexual assault, and even murder. Its membership has fallen from 12-1.9million today and continues to dwindle as the word of truth spreads throughout the world. On the other hand, Shincheonji Church has appeared according to the promises of the Bible, can testify to the physical fulfilment of the New Testament prophecies of the Bible, and received the word of revelation from God, whose word is delivered through the mouth of the promised pastor - the messenger promised by Jesus Christ (John 14:26, Revelation 22:16). The word of God is taught freely here without adding or taking away any verse from the Bible. CCK has been invited dozens of times to engage in public debate over the Bible to prove who speaks the truth and who lies, but they have never accepted this opportunity. Shincheonji Church has mastered the prophecies of the New Testament Revelation that has been sealed for 2000 years and is opened now (Revelation 5:3). Who is true orthodox and true cult? Discern for yourself.

Every nation on earth has its own set of laws drafted by man. The one who masters such laws and carries out judgement accordingly on the people of the earth is a judge. However, there are also the laws of heaven. These are God’s laws drafted by God - not man - and are recorded in the Bible. The one who carries out judgment on God's people according to the law of heaven is God Himself.

In Biblical history, God has given His law to one promised pastor who then gives it to His people. God gave the Old Testament law to Moses in the form of 12 Commandments inscribed on two stone tablets (Exodus 20, 34). People broke the very first commandment - worshipping false gods - and God cast judgment accordingly. 2000 years ago, Jesus Christ came as the ‘living stone’; the promised pastor who possessed God’s word not on stone tablets, but in his heart (1 Peter 2:4). Jesus Christ was given the authority by God to cast judgment on His people.

Before Jesus Christ bore the cross, he promised about future events which were recorded in the New Testament. He promised to give ‘one who overcomes’ (promised pastor) a white stone (Revelation 2:17), as well as all the 12 promised blessings of Revelation 2&3. As these New Testament promises are being fulfilled today, the promised pastor of today's generation has already received from Jesus Christ the white stone with the authority to judge. Through today's promised pastor, God and Jesus are creating the sealed 12 tribes of Revelation 7 - the ‘New Heaven New Earth’ (new kingdom and people) of Revelation 21, which is Shincheonji Church. Once this kingdom is fully established on the earth, God and Jesus will cast judgment accordingly (Revelation 20:12).

What does this mean for the religious authorities today? In the same way that the religious authorities used the laws of the earth to persecute Jesus Christ 2000 years ago, labelling him a ‘sect’ and hanging him on a cross, today the Christian Council of Korea (CCK) and Christian Broadcasting System (CBS) continue to slander Shincheonji Church with false accusations, labelling them a ‘cult’. Although they have diminished in number from 12-1.8million, their organisations must come to a complete end and they should turn from their evil ways and listen to the words that flow from the mouth of the promised pastor, whom God and Jesus are with (John 12:48).

“There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day.” (John 12:48)

Since its establishment in March 1984, Shincheonji church has become the subject of numerous false allegations made by Korean Protestant churches and organisations affiliated to it within the Republic of Korea. They have declared war whilst Shincheonji church continues to declare peace.

The chairman of Shincheonji church - who is also chairman of the peace organisation ‘Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL)’ - expressed his desire to host the '4th annual commemoration of the WARP (World Alliance of Religions' Peace) Summit' at Ansan-Wa main stadium in September 2018 for the noble goal of reunifying the Korean peninsula and ceasing all wars globally through an international peace law. However, allegations made by Protestant denominations that this was a cover-up intended to conceal the "anti-national, anti-social and illegal" activities of Shincheonji church designed to "deceive" foreign leaders persuaded the authorities revoking permission for hire. The Supreme Court ruled as follows: “The WARP Summit (World Alliance of Religions' Peace) is not a camouflage event. The WARP Summit is a global peace forum. Shincheonji church thoroughly explained the purpose of the event beforehand so it has never deceived foreigners". Moreover, the peace summit was held in Seoul with 100,000 guests in attendance that included 1000 global dignitaries comprised of leading politicians, legal experts, religious leaders, journalists and peace ambassadors.

Major allegations against Shincheonji church reached national attention through the four-part documentary 'People who fell into Shincheonji church' broadcast by Christian Broadcasting System (CBS) in March 2015. Within this documentary, CBS alleged the following about Shincheonji church:“incites congregation members to run away from home and to disown their families”; "brainwashed and demanded a congregation member to disown her family and forced her to quit her job”, and “has been deceiving numerous souls and created conflict between families and church members including suicide, violence, divorce, runaways, suspending one’s studies and quitting jobs, which is more than just a religious problem, but one that is also anti-social and criminal.” These claims triggered a massive campaign organised by Shincheonji Victims' Family Union outside Hongik University in October 2016 as parents pled for the return of their children .

Shincheonji church subsequently exercised its right of reply and challenged such claims. In November 2017, the Supreme Court ruled in favour of Shincheonji church, ruling that all allegations broadcast in CBS' documentary were groundless and false. The Supreme Court ruled as follows: "Shincheonji church doesn't force or brainwash its congregation members, or ask them to disown their families"; “is neither an anti-social nor criminal organization"; and “hasn't brainwashed its congregation members, but permits members to decide freely through the teachings of the Word. The religious life of Shincheonji church's congregation members is not forced, and the church has never demanded them to disown their families." Moreover, the Supreme Court ruled that “the majority of instances of divorce, runaways, family conflict, suspension of one’s study etc. occur because of the coercive conversion programmes implemented by coercive conversion pastors under the Heresy Handling Committee of the Christian Council of Korea which violates the will of Shincheonji church's congregation members.”*

In an independent investigative report published by Daily Cheonji newspaper, the children of these parents who campaigned outside Hongik university said: “I talk to my parents every day…It is not because of Shincheonji church that I feel unable to return home, but because of family who want to take me to a coercive conversion pastor who is urging them on. They are so reckless." Indeed, the programme has led to the loss of two lives (neither of which, despite international pressure, have been acknowledged by the Korean government) and over 1200 kidnappings.

The Supreme Court subsequently ordered CBS to pay damages of 8million won (c.£5500), retract their initial broadcast and broadcast a correction report in November 2017. CBS did so, but at 3am in when the vast majority of people were asleep.

One of the main reasons why there has been so much slandering of Shincheonji church by Protestant churches and CBS is the mix of vested interest in traditional Korean churches and Korean politics. which has led to outright abuse of power for one's personal gain. Beyond the surface, there is a spiritual battle taking place which will lead to the downfall of CBS and the traditional churches of Korea that support its false allegations.

*The coercive conversion programme is a heinous programme established and implemented by pastors of the CCK (Christian Council of Korea) that is a widespread phenomenon where pastors of protestant churches enlist the aid of a young person’s parent to kidnap and confine him/her in a secluded place, subjecting them to emotional and psychological abuse until they renounce their religious beliefs. This recently led to the death of 25-year-old Ms. Ji-In Gu and widespread rallies that have made international headline outside Korea. To date, the Korean government has not issued a single statement surrounding the murder of Ms. Ji-In Gu.

The Bible is a compilation of 66 books written by 35 authors over a period of 6000 years, beginning with the era of Creation in Genesis and ending with God’s final work in Revelation. God has been working in every era over the last 6000 years since Adam's betrayal until today to restore the world back to the paradise that existed before Adam betrayed. Because God is spirit (John 4:24), He can not return to us in our current, sinful condition. He has, therefore, given us something visible to know Him by - His word. It is through this word, and through this word alone, that we can clearly understand God’s will. This is because God is the word (John 1:1).

This word records two types of spirits: God, and the devil. The devil is the ‘serpent’ that deceived Adam into betraying God and believing in his lies (Genesis 3:22). To return to man, God began His work of re-creation through a righteous man called Noah and put an end to sin by wiping out Adam’s era through a flood (Genesis 7). However, the devil entered Noah’s second son, Ham (Genesis 9) so God appointed and commanded Moses and the Israelites to destroy the land of Canaan - Ham’s descendant - thereby bringing Noah's era to an end. King Solomon and the Israelites then betrayed God by worshipping false gods (1Kings 11) so God promised through the Old Testament prophets to send a righteous person born of His (spiritual) seed - not of the seed of Adam - Jesus Christ.

In addition to the spirit of the devil, there is another reason why people betrayed God in every era. God told His prophet Hosea that His people are destroyed from lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). After Adam's betrayal, people lacked faith in the words of the pastor whom God had sent, making them easy prey for the devil. Therefore, by possessing the correct knowledge of the Bible, we can have the correct faith that guides our footsteps to the path that God desires for us to take. How do we know who God's pastor is?

The Bible records four different types of pastors: a general pastor who teaches about past events, a pastor of prophecy who prophesies about future events, a promised pastor who fulfils these prophecies and testifies to the physical fulfilment of these prophecies, and a false pastor who distorts the true meaning of the Bible according to his or her own thoughts. In the same way that people had to go the promised pastor - Jesus Christ - and listen to his words at the time of the first coming, we should also find the promised pastor today sent by God to fulfil the New Testament prophecies.

Before Jesus bore the cross for the salvation of humanity, he made a new promise in his blood (Luke 22:14-20). This blood takes effect at the time of the second coming today, which is the fulfilment of the New Testament prophecies in Revelation. It purchases the harvested and sealed kingdom and priests (Revelation 1:5-6; 5:9-10) and great multitude (Revelation 7:14), and creates the 12 tribes This is the New Heaven New Earth promised in Revelation 21. The spirit of the devil will be thrown into the Abyss (Revelation 20:2-3) and the lifeline that was cut 6000 years ago will be re-connected. God will finally achieve His purpose and return to dwell with His creation in paradise:-

“‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)

A pastor is responsible for helping guide their congregation members to God and heaven. Today, there are more than 50,000 denominations of Christianity with thousands of different interpretations of the Bible. Because God is the word (John 1:1), everything we need to know about God has been provided to us in the Bible. However, of all these interpretations, how can one discern what is the correct teaching? Are all interpretations correct? Or is there one path that can lead people to God and heaven?

Throughout God’s 6000 years of history recorded in the Bible, there have been four types of pastor: a general pastor who teaches past events, a pastor of prophecy who prophesies about future events according to a revelation they have received from God (see Hosea 12:10), a promised pastor who fulfils such prophecies and can testify to their fulfilment/reality, and a false pastor who testifies according to his or her own thoughts. In the same way that Jesus Christ fulfilled the Old Testament prophecies 2000 years ago (John 19:30), there is one who fulfils the New Testament prophecies (Revelation 21:6). Today, these prophecies recorded in the Book of Revelation are being fulfilled.

Like Moses (Exodus 25:9) and Jesus Christ (John 3:31-34, 5:17), today’s Promised Pastor has seen the kingdom of heaven (Revelation 10:11), and is working to fulfil a kingdom of peace that God desires to establish here on the earth. Jesus Christ promised that he would send his messenger to testify to the churches (Revelation 22:16). Moreover, because he has seen and heard all the events of Revelation, he can testify to its fulfilment in full, verse-by-verse (Revelation 22:8). Although countless pastors make their own claims about the Book of Revelation, only the one promised who has seen and heard all the events can possibly testify about it. This is logical. According to the command Jesus gave, let’s be those who see, hear and believe in the fulfilment of the prophecies.

Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near (Revelation 1:3)
