The seminar, held at the Shincheonji Daejeon Church, centred on an exploration of one of humanity’s most universal questions through a biblical lens, drawing a large audience, including local pastors and citizens. The lecture was delivered by Bang-sik Jang, the leader of the Matthias Tribe, who spoke in depth on the meaning of life and the path to eternal restoration.
“Birth, aging, sickness, and death are not merely aging or diseases, but the consequences of being severed from the source of life,” Jang said. “The answer to the essence of life can be found through the Bible.”
Citing various scriptures from Genesis to Revelation, he taught on the origin of life and the importance of the spirit: “Humans are beings whose subject is not the body, but the mind—that is, the spirit.” In particular, citing Luke 8:11 and 1 Peter 1:23, he emphasised the need to be spiritually re-born through the words of the Bible.
Moreover, Jang emphasised that understanding the prophecies and fulfilments of the Book of Revelation is the path to a 'new heaven and new earth' free from suffering and death. “Where the promises of the Bible are fulfilled, the problem of birth, aging, sickness, and death is resolved,” he concluded.

Reactions from the attendees followed the lecture. One participant commended its logical, step-by-step explanation: “The biblical content was explained structurally, which helped me understand the flow.” Another participant said, “I felt like it served as an opportunity to rethink the fundamental questions of life.”
The seven lectures of this seminar series drew in 9270 attendees, positioning the Shincheonji Matthias Tribe as a spiritual hub in the Chungcheong region.
Meanwhile, a Shincheonji official has expressed the Shincheonji Matthias Tribe's intention to hold follow-up seminars for pastors and aspiring ministers.
