“Thank you to those who sacrificed their lives for us - we will remember you as great firefighters.”
Letters handwritten by children, incorporating heartfelt messages as above, were delivered in person by Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Jemulpo Church (Matthew Tribe) to the 119 Safety Centre in Incheon on the 4th November to mark the upcoming 'Firefighters Day' (November 9th), which honours the nation's firefighters and raises awareness about fire prevention.
The letters were written by primary school students from the Shincheonji Jemulpo Church with drawings they drew themselves to express their respect and gratitude to firefighters.
Accordingly, the Shincheonji Jemulpo Church delivered calligraphy postcards and snacks along with picture letters written by children to the 119 Safety Center.
The firefighter who received the gift on behalf of the unit said, “All the messages the children wrote really touched our hearts and gave us a stronger sense of mission.”
