Times Square, New York City Advertisement: "Shincheonji Church's Blood Plasma Donation, Prayer for Eradication of COVID-19"
[Cheonji Ilbo New York = Maria Park, reporter Lee Som] A billboard advertisement appeared in the heart of New York City, USA, giving thanks for the donation of blood plasma by Shincheonji Church and an end to COVID-19.
On the 16th (local time), New Yorkers who saw the advertisement that appeared on billboards in New York City's Times Square, the world's largest advertising venue, showed great support for news of Shincheonji Church's group blood plasma donation.
The one-minute video advertisement entitled 'Love, Peace, Hope and Forgiveness' displayed the efforts of Chairman Man Hee Lee, who has been on 31 world peace tours, and last year's graduation ceremony of 100,000 Bible study students from Shincheonji Church. It then showed the prayers of 250,000 people for an end to the coronavirus pandemic, together with news of Shincheonji Church's three rounds of blood plasma donation.
The video ended with an appeal to families around the world to unite, love and pray for a world of peace without war and violence.
Ashton S and Xyla F, who met at Times Square that day, emphasised that "blood plasma donation is a truly wonderful act that is imperative at this time", adding, "if I can donate my blood plasma, I will definitely do so."
Rick F. said, “At the beginning of this year, I heard the news that the number of confirmed Shincheonji Church cases has increased rapidly in South Korea. It’s great that they are now donating plasma to help their neighbours.”
Julia N. said, "It's wonderful to have lots of people participating in a blood plasma donation that can save lives." She added, “I think it is the mission of the Church to help those in need.” She concluded, “Shincheonji Church is fulfilling this mission today.”
Meanwhile, on the 14th (local time), religious leaders in New York who directly and indirectly experienced the peace activities of Shincheonji Church's Chairman Man Hee Lee received news of the third blood plasma donation by Shincheonji Church congregants, and posted an advertisement in the New York Times requesting prayer for the development of a treatment and eradication of COVID-19. It drew much attention.
