On 7th November 2021, Cheonji Ilbo (Cheonji Daily) published an article, in Korean, entitled, "(24 Wise Questions - 16) 'Why is it Difficult for the Rich to Enter Heaven? Is it Because They're Evil?'” This is a translation of that report.

📰Korea JoongAng Daily published an article on December 17, 2011, which listed a series of questions posed by the late founder of the Samsung Group, Byung-chul Lee, one month before his death in 1987. Byung-chul Lee posed 24 questions on matters of religion and faith in writing to his acquaintance, who was a Catholic priest. 33 years had passed until these questions were published, and today the answers are finally being proclaimed to the public by Chairman Manhee Lee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony. Now people throughout the world can finally find the truth they have been seeking. This paper seeks to answer the 24 wise questions posed by the late Byung-chul Lee.

The rich are not evil. There are two types of rich people - one who is rich in terms of physical wealth, and the other who is rich in spirit. The end result for someone who has physical wealth and someone who has no physical wealth is the same. They both have 24 hours a day and their three meals. What is the difference?

The difference lies among people who are rich in spirit. If the physically rich cannot enter heaven, why did God give Job more possessions? People who are rich in spirit think they lack nothing, so they become complacent and do not seek. The physically rich do not believe that their pockets are full enough, so they work to gain even more physical wealth.

If one comes to know oneself and the true God, regardless of whether one has much authority or wealth, one will realise what the true treasure is and will seek for it. The true treasure is life. Rather than seeking for food which perishes like a dream, people should seek after the food which does not perish and is eternal.
