On 11th May, Shincheonji Seongnam Church members who participated at the Family Month 'Gratitude-Appreciation' sticker event took a commemorative photo
“I don’t usually have much time to talk, but thanks to today, I was able to share my worries and have a meaningful time.”

To commemorate the Family Month of May, the Shincheonji Seongnam Church hosted a number of events, including a colourful gratitude-appreciation event held on the 11th May. An elderly person, who shared and received Bible verses with other attendees at this event, said the above.

May is considered 'Family Month' in South Korea, celebrated with Children's Day (5th), Parents' Day (8th), and Teachers' Day (15th). In May, Shincheonji Church of Jesus typically conducts activities and events nationwide that enable parents and children to reflect on the meaning of loyalty, filial piety and love, express gratitude to one's elders, and emphasise the importance of family and education.

The gratitude-appreciation event held on the 11th May by the Shincheonji Seongnam Church enabled the 6000 church members in attendance to express their gratitude to each other by pasting prepared heart stickers on people they are grateful for and conveying messages such as 'I love you' and 'Be happy' written on the stickers.

On the 11th May, young people from Shincheonji Seongnam Church gave carnations to seniors in celebration of Family Month.
Most touching was witnessing young adults actively taking a leap to practise intergenerational love. One young person said, “I have always wanted to express my sincere gratitude to the senior members of the church, and I am glad that I was able to express my gratitude by giving them carnations this time,” and added, “I hope that a single flower will warm the senior member's day.”

A senior church member who received flowers expressed their gratitude, saying, “The young people's smiling faces gave me strength, and I was deeply touched by the sincerity of even a single flower.”
