Shincheonji Volunteer Group Eastern Seoul Branch is carrying out a forest fire prevention campaign at the entrance of the Suraksan Mountain hiking trail

South Korea is no stranger to major forest fires, which can result in damage to the soil of the earth that requires more than 100 years for it to recover to its original level.

To this end, the Eastern Seoul Branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group (hereinafter referred to as the Eastern Seoul Branch) has been actively working to raise awareness of the causes and effects of forest fire and the need for prevention by holding various forest fire campaigns in areas prone to forest fires.

On the 26th, the Eastern Seoul Branch launched the 'Green Nature' forest fire prevention campaign at the entrance of the Suraksan Mountain hiking trail in Nowon District.

In this campaign, the Eastern Seoul Branch focused on raising citizens’ awareness of forest fire prevention through forest fire common sense quiz, guidance on the ecosystem recovery period in forest fire-stricken areas, promotion of forest fire prevention rules, activities to prohibit possession of flammable materials, and more.

In the words of an official from the Eastern Seoul Branch, “Once a forest fire breaks out, it can cause massive damage to nature and loss of life. It is important for everyone to be alert and take action so that a little carelessness does not lead to a major disaster.”

This activity was carried out as part of Shincheonji Volunteer Group's nationwide 'Green Nature' campaign, which aims to preserve a beautiful and clean natural environment for posterity.

Chairman ManHee Lee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, is giving a sermon at the dedication service held at the Peter’s Tribe Haenam Church in Haenam District, South Jeolla Province on the 23rd

“We will spread the word of truth and spread it to the ends of the earth!”

On the 23rd, the joy of the gospel announcing a new beginning resounded from Haenam, the southernmost tip of the Korean Peninsula.

Over 3000 people gathered to celebrate the dedication of Haenam Church, reinforcing Shincheonji’s mission to spread the revealed gospel worldwide.

Haenam symbolises both an end and a beginning. Many embark on a pilgrimage across Korea, beginning or concluding their journey at Haenam. It also has symbolic spiritual meaning as it is a location that many people align with the words of Matthew 24:14: “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”

The Bible frequently references the 'ends of the earth' and the 'east' as places where God's work begins, making this dedication all the more significant.

Chairman ManHee Lee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, is giving a sermon at the dedication service held at the Peter’s Tribe Haenam Church in Haenam District, South Jeolla Province on the 23rd
Chairman ManHee Lee attended the dedication, emphasising that just as Old Testament prophecies were fulfilled at Jesus’ first coming, the prophecies of Revelation are now being fulfilled. He urged believers to recognize the fulfilment of God’s Word and testify to the truth. He also reminded the congregation that true faith is not based on human thoughts but on God's promises, which are now coming to fruition.

Chairman Lee further stressed the importance of understanding and keeping God’s Word exactly as written, without adding or subtracting from it, as warned in Revelation 22:18-19. He encouraged believers to become true witnesses of the Word by seeing its fulfilment firsthand and living according to God’s teachings. He emphasised that today’s faith must align with the reality of God’s work, urging members to commit themselves fully to spreading the gospel and building God’s kingdom on earth.

The event was filled with joy as believers reaffirmed their mission, pledging to bring God’s Word to all people, fulfilling the task of evangelising to the ends of the earth.

The dedication was more than just a ceremony - it was a festival of faith. Believers gathered from near and far, sharing in the joy of witnessing God’s work. Hymns of praise filled the air, and many were moved to tears as they reflected on the significance of this moment. With hands raised in worship and hearts united in faith, attendees expressed gratitude for the continued expansion of God's kingdom.

Meanwhile, Shincheonji’s rapid global expansion demonstrates the fulfilment of God’s work. With pastors and believers worldwide embracing the revealed gospel, the dedication of Haenam Church marks another step toward spreading the truth to all nations. As God’s promises unfold, Shincheonji remains committed to leading people into His kingdom. This dedication serves as a reminder that the mission is far from over - there are still countless souls waiting to hear the truth, and Shincheonji will continue to work without rest until the gospel has reached every corner of the earth.

Peter Heavenly Culture Academy 1st presentation held at Shincheonji Gwangju Church on the 22nd

“The 'Peter's Heavenly Culture Academy', which began its first term with the children and student groups of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, is not simply a stage for them to show off what they have learned, but the process itself of the children experiencing faith firsthand and growing together with other friends, which holds great meaning. I hope that through these experiences, they will be able to develop proper character and pursue their dreams according to God’s will.”

The Gwangju Church of the Peter tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (hereinafter referred to as Shincheonji Gwangju Church) concluded the 6-week training course (January 6st - February 21st) of the 1st 'Peter's Heavenly Culture Academy' and successfully held its presentation on the 22nd. The leader of the Peter tribe, Jae-wook Yoo, encapsulated the essence of the 'Peter's Heavenly Culture Academy' above.

The Peter's Heavenly Culture Academy was established to build character and faith among the youth during the holidays. The Academy is run through 'talent donations (skills taught for free)' from church members who are involved in cultural activities and clubs.

During the 6-week holiday period, 471 members of the students and children's groups of the Shincheonji Gwangju Church participated in 29 classes given by saints with talent and experience in the fields of art, culture, and sport. Congregants who 'donated their talent' directly participated as instructors and imparted professional knowledge and skills to the students, enabling students and children to discover and develop their individual talents.

A 16-year-old female student who participated in the sign language class said, “It was a holiday that I could have spent any which way, but it was a valuable time because I was able to learn sign language, which was difficult to do because there aren't many places that teach it.”

The mother of a student who completed the Peter's Heavenly Culture Academy course said, “I didn't know that my child would shine on stage like this. I was worried about how we would spend this holiday period, so I am grateful for the valuable experience.”

Meanwhile, the Gwangju branch of Shincheonji Church of Jesus plans to hold a second term during the summer holiday in July and August.

The Shincheonji Andrew Tribe Ulsan Church held a 'Revelation Bible Seminar' on the afternoon of the 22nd. The congregation, pastors, and citizens who attended the gathering on this day are listening to the lecture. The Ulsan Church holds a Revelation gathering for Ulsan citizens every month, and starting on the 28th, a special lecture on Revelation will be held every Friday

“Until now, we have just blindly believed the snake in Genesis, right? But now is the time when the Book of Revelation has been opened. And when this appointed time comes, the coded language that the Book of Revelation is recorded in can be unravelled. Today, our eyes have opened to the words of the entire Bible, and our faith is also different. Shincheonji is setting this trend.”

On the 22nd, the Shincheonji Ulsan Church hosted the second ‘Revelation Bible Seminar’ to an audience of roughly 2300 people, including members of the Ulsan Church, students, pastors, and the general public. The head lecturer of the Ulsan Church, Han-soo Kim, delivered the lecture and said the above.

Head lecturer Han-soo Kim is giving a sermon at the 'Shincheonji Ulsan Church Revelation Seminar' held at the Shincheonji Ulsan Church on the 22nd.
Following a special musical performance that searched for a world of peace and a promotional video exhibiting the explosive growth of Shincheonji in light of the recent graduation ceremonies that consecutively produced over 100,000 graduates in recent years, the attendees' hearts were opened to the Word.

Han-soo Kim, head lecturer at Ulsan Church, explained the historical background of the introduction of Catholicism and Protestantism into Korea. He also asked the attendees about the eschatology of the rapture and Jesus' return on clouds, and whether the serpent in Genesis was a real serpent, and urged to distinguish the eras. He said, “In the past, people went to church to get healed, experience miracles and receive grace. We need to think deeply about the reasons why young people today are leaving the established churches.”

Next, he cited Ecclesiastes 3:1, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens,” and emphasised, “The Book of Revelation, the last prophetic book in the Bible, has been fulfilled in its time, and Shincheonji is bearing witness to the Book of Revelation without ceasing.” He also emphasised the importance of practising one's faith based on the times.

Following the seminar, a consultation booth was set up where people could ask questions about the lecture content or Shincheonji Church of Jesus.

Meanwhile, in addition to the Revelation gathering held for Ulsan citizens every month, the Shincheonji Ulsan Church will hold a special lecture on Revelation every Friday, commencing on the 28th.

As of January 31st 2025, the number of young people, which is rare to see in the established churches, has reached about 2000 in the Shincheonji Ulsan Church.

On the 22nd, at the 6th Pastors' Forum of the Winners Club held at the Shincheonji Gangdong Church in Gami neighbourhood, Hanam City, Gyeonggi Province, Gi-won Lee, the head of the John tribe, is giving a presentation

The John tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus) is one of the 12 tribes of Shincheonji Church of Jesus. The tribe is named after John, one of the 12 apostles of Jesus Christ, and its headquarters is centred around Gwacheon City, which is the starting point of Shincheonji's history.

The John tribe, which is entrusted with the care and growth of the southern part of Seoul and Gyeonggi Province has experienced significant growth due to the rapid spread of the prophecies and fulfilled reality of the Book of Revelation.

On the 22nd, the John tribe held its 6th 'Winners Club Pastors' Forum' at the Shincheonji Hanam Church in Hanam City, Gyeonggi Province. The event drew in the attendance of around 200 pastors.

The 'Winners Club' is an organisation formed by pastors in the southern part of Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. Its purpose is to achieve harmony and mutual growth through Bible discussion and communication between pastors, regardless of denomination or creed.

On this day, the pastors’ forum was attended by the leader of the John tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, Gi-won Lee, and pastors from established churches. The event included the viewing of the 5th Pastors’ Forum highlight video, an appointment ceremony for the Winners Club public relations ambassador and a keynote lecture given by the tribe leader on the theme of the 'Beast with Seven Heads and Ten Horns of Revelation 13 and the Prostitute of Revelation 17'.

On the 22nd, at the 6th Pastors' Forum of the Winners Club held at the Shincheonji Gangdong Church in Gami neighbourhood, Hanam City, Gyeonggi Province, Gi-won Lee, the head of the John tribe, is giving a presentation
Regarding the beast with seven heads and ten horns, the John tribe leader gave an explanation of its meaning, saying, “The beast in prophecy is one who does not understand the word of God,” and “The beast with seven heads and ten horns symbolises the seven pastors and ten elders belonging to Satan.”

He continued, “The beast with seven heads and ten horns is the pastor of the devil, so the final result is that he will be thrown into the fiery lake of burning sulphur.” He added, “It is important to join Jesus’ group. We must believe and follow the word so that we can join the group of the Saviour.”

The tribe leader also expounded on the prostitute of Revelation 17, who has a name written on her forehead, which is ‘Babylon the Great.’ He reiterated the importance of knowing the outcome of these entities in order to clearly distinguish where God is and where the devil is.

Presbyterian Pastor Kim, who was one of 12 pastors appointed as a public relations ambassador that day, said, “I have studied various religious scriptures, but the Book of Revelation in the Bible was the most difficult,” and “At a time when I was struggling to make sure I did not teach incorrectly as a pastor, I joined the 'Winners Club' and received a lot of help.”

Through their appointment as public relations ambassadors, the 12 pastors promised to discover and promote activities that can benefit the church community together with the Winners Club.

Amid the ongoing disputes that occur over the same Bible due to differing doctrines and denominations, the Winners Club forum serves to promote mutual understanding of each other’s thoughts and unite, which in turn will help develop local pastoral ministry.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus-Gwangju and Jeonnam regional churches, MOU signing scene

As many churches face declining membership, a growing number of pastors are finding hope through collaboration with Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony. With over 110,000 Bible course graduates in 2024, more churches are experiencing transformation through Revelation-based teachings and MOU agreements.

What is driving this movement? How are pastors and congregations being revived?

MOU Agreements: A Solution to Church Decline
According to recent church statistics, major Korean denominations—including the Korean Methodist Church, Presbyterian Church of Korea (PCK), the Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea (PROK), and others—have experienced a continuous fall in membership. Many churches struggle to regain public trust and engagement, leading pastors to explore new solutions.

Amid this decline, Shincheonji has demonstrated remarkable growth. Since 2019, it has held graduation ceremonies for over 100,000 students annually, with 2024 marking a new record of over 110,000 Bible course graduates. This growth has sparked interest in Shincheonji’s teachings, leading to growing MOU agreements with pastors seeking church revival.

Rising Interest in Shincheonji Collaboration
At present, 139 churches have signed MOUs with Shincheonji Church in South Jeolla Province, with 11 officially declaring themselves "Shincheonji partner churches" and unveiling new signboards to mark their partnership. Pastors report revitalised congregations - brighter faces, stronger worship engagement, and renewed enthusiasm for evangelism.

Transformative Impact of Revelation-Based Teachings
Many pastors share striking testimonies of the impact of Revelation-based teachings on both themselves and their congregations. A 60-year-old Presbyterian pastor said:-
“Since engaging with the Word from Shincheonji, I no longer struggle with sermon preparation. My preaching has newfound strength, and my congregation’s faith has grown stronger. I see their faces light up with understanding.”

A Vision for Unity and Growth

Pastors who experience these changes are encouraging others to join, fostering an interdenominational network focused on truth and cooperation. “Shincheonji strives for all churches to unite under God’s Word and enter His kingdom,” says an official of Shincheonji Church of Jesus.
