“I felt that we are one family united by the word of truth, and I once again felt proud of belonging to the 12 tribes of Shincheonji.”

These are the words of Na-hyun Kim (25, female), a congregant of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, who attended a Wednesday service at Shincheonji Gangneung Church in Gangneung City, Republic of Korea, on the 4th September.

Around 2000 congregants of the Shincheonji Gangneung Church had lined up waving pink balloons, the symbolic colour of the Philip Tribe, and holding welcome banners in anticipation of the arrival of Chairman ManHee Lee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus.

Despite being nearly 94 years of age, Chairman Lee has visited a total of 40 churches domestically and abroad this year alone to listen to the voices of the faithful and create a better religious environment for them. Whenever the Chairman visits a church on Sundays and Wednesdays, he stands on the pulpit to testify the Word of God with conviction, preaching powerfully for about an hour, centred on the Book of Revelation.

As such, Chairman Lee entered the Gangneung Church and went up to the podium to lead the Wednesday service and repeatedly emphasised the importance of the prophecy and fulfilment of the Bible. The Book of Revelation is a topic that pastors of the established churches avoid, but Chairman Lee did not open the Bible throughout his sermon and he never deviated from the content of the Bible.

Mr. Sim (male, 70s), a passerby and member of an established church who witnessed this scene, said, “I was moved by the way Shincheonji believers sincerely welcomed and congratulated Chairman ManHee Lee,” and “I was especially impressed by the fact that many young believers gathered.”

Mr. Seung-Woo Lee (54, male), a member of Shincheonji Gangneung Church, said, “It is thanks to the Chairman, the promised pastor, that we have been able to understand the word of truth, and our orderly welcome of the Chairman was heartfelt.” He added, “Through the words we heard at today’s Wednesday service, we realised once again that we are the reality of the leaves of the tree of life that heals all nations.”

Meanwhile, Shincheonji Church of Jesus is making preparations for its fourth large-scale graduation ceremony to be held later this year. In the words of a Shincheonji representative said, “The secret to Shincheonji’s growth to this extent is the excellent teachings of the revealed word of the Bible and the love of Chairman ManHee Lee for the congregation” and We plan to surprise the world once again with a larger and better-prepared graduation ceremony than last year.
