“When I actually talked to the members of Shincheonji, I realised that they belong somewhere that practices the right faith according to the Bible and keeps God’s promises.”

These are the words of Pastor K (male, 50s) of the Presbyterian Church of Korea, who attended the '2024 Shincheonji Bible's Seminar Testimony on the Fulfillment of Revelation' conference held at the Masan Church (Busan James Tribe) of Shincheonji Church of Jesus on the 25th September.

This Shincheonji Bible Seminar, which concluded in Ulsan and Busan in January, was held following an outpouring of requests from pastors and believers for additional conferences.

On that day, about 100 pastors and 16,000 believers from major neighbouring cities including Masan, Busan and Daegu attended the Bible conference, where Chairman ManHee Lee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus testified the prophecy and fulfilled reality of the Book of Revelation that he has witnessed firsthand.

This year alone, Chairman Lee has visited over 40 churches in South Korea to listen to the voices of the faithful and create a better religious environment for them, despite being well over 90 years of age. Moreover, whenever the Chairman visits a church on Sundays and Wednesdays, he stands on the pulpit to testify the Word of God with conviction, centred on the Book of Revelation, preaching powerfully for about an hour.

In a church hall packed with Shincheonji believers who had gathered from all over the region early on, and to the visiting pastors of the established churches who were attending a Shincheonji Church of Jesus service for the first time, Chairman Lee testified the fulfilment of the entire Book of Revelation without even looking at the Bible once.

Chairman Lee emphasised, “Pastors and all believers in God must not forget the words that if you add to or subtract from the Book of Revelation, you will not be able to enter heaven and will be cursed.”

He continued, “The reason we worship and believe today is to enter heaven. In order to become a person of perfect faith before God, we must believe according to the Bible.”

He also said, “Only one pastor who has received and eaten the open book from chapters 1 to 22 of Revelation today can testify to the reality of the Book of Revelation.”

Chairman Lee added, “Jesus said that no one can enter the kingdom of heaven unless they become like a child.” He added, “Instead of calling Shincheonji a cult or a heresy, the right attitude should be to first find out what it is testifying to that has led to such rapid growth.”

Finally, Chairman Lee emphasised, “I must ask myself who this Bible says I am, and whether I have truly kept the promises of the New Testament” and “Those who understand and master the Bible will be able to recognise when God’s prophecy is fulfilled and the reality is revealed.”

A Shincheonji church official said, “Some pastors who attend the Shincheonji Bible Seminar for the first time may not be able to accept the sermon of the Chairman, but it is encouraging that they continue to listen and gradually receive grace.”

The pastors listened to the sermon by the Chairman for an hour, sometimes smiling and sometimes with serious expressions. Among the pastors, there are quite a few who have experienced spiritual growth through regular interactions with Shincheonji Church of Jesus every year. One pastor said, “At first, I thought Shincheonji was a cult, but when I actually saw it, it wasn’t like that at all. Especially when I saw the graduation ceremony and other things, I was surprised at how organised and systematic it was. I even talked to my fellow pastors about how I needed to learn from this.”

In the words of another pastor in attendance, “Instead of condemning Shincheonji as a cult, shouldn’t we go to Shincheonji and learn from it?”

As Shincheonji Church of Jesus prepares to hold its fourth 100,000 graduation ceremony of over 110,000 people this year, it is evident that the reason why people are flocking in droves is because of the excellence of the biblical teachings, delivered in a logical manner according to the 5W1H principle (who, what, where, when, why and how).

Meanwhile, the number of YouTube views of the Bible Seminar in Masan that was live-streamed online is approaching half a million.

“Our congregation was truly excited and eager to change the church name, and other pastors have been reaching out to me for advice and expressing interest in the sign change.”

These are the words of Pastor Arias, who was running a small church in Kenya and recently changed the church sign to 'Shincheonji Church of Jesus'. Since doing so, the church has grown from less than 50 to over 500 members within less than a year.

The movement to change the number of church signs to 'Shincheonji Church of Jesus' is growing not only in Africa, but globally. As of the 19th September, the number of churches in Central and South America that have requested to change their church names to Shincheonji Church of Jesus since 2022 has reached 332. The number of affiliated members is approximately 22,000.

According to Shincheonji Church of Jesus, churches which have changed their signboards to Shincheonji Church of Jesus have achieved qualitative growth, both as pastors and an increase in the number of believers.

Pastor Eric, who is serving in Ghana, said, “The words I learned from Shincheonji Church of Jesus were words I had never heard in the four years of seminary I attended, or anywhere else.” He added, “They helped me grow as a pastor and as a person.”

Pastor Fred Minase Matiti, who runs four churches in Kenya, experienced a church growth after changing the signboard and explained the reason behind the sign change, saying, “I wanted to become one with Chairman ManHee Lee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, who fully understands the Bible and can speak the truth without adding to or subtracting from it.”

He continued, “We are receiving many requests from pastors who want to join us,” and “I want to spread this message to more people, so I have established Zion Christian Mission Centres (free Bible education institutions of Shincheonji Church of Jesus) in various areas where I am.”

Pastors cited the excellence of the biblical teachings, that is, the teachings of the revealed word, as the greatest advantage of all.

As of the 11th September, the number of churches in Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya that requested the sign change to Shincheonji Church of Jesus since April of last year has reached 69. The number of churches is expected to increase further. With around 50 churches requesting to change their signs and 1784 churches actively exchanging words after signing a business agreement (MOU) with Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the pace of change is expected to accelerate.

An official of Shincheonji Church of Jesus said, “Local governments are looking at the sign changes positively and have been requesting meetings” and added, “I hope that a culture in which churches grow together will become widespread.”

“I hope that every pastor will, like me, change their church signs and unite to lead not only pastors but also church members onto the right path.”

These are the words of a pastor, who belonged to a Baptist denomination in Venezuela but recently changed the church name to ‘Shincheonji Church of Jesus.’

As of the 19th September, the number of churches in Central and South America that have requested to change their church names to Shincheonji Church of Jesus since 2022 has reached 332. The number of affiliated members is approximately 22,000.

Changing the signboard to Shincheonji Church of Jesus reflects the intent to spread the revealed theology from Shincheonji Church of Jesus and unite with Shincheonji Church of Jesus.

Moreover, as of the 19th, 2056 churches have signed a business agreement (MOU) for biblical exchange with Shincheonji Church of Jesus, which is dispatching biblical materials and lecturers to respective churches. It is expected that these churches will also change their signs in the imminent future.

The main reason cited by pastors who decided to change the church signboard is the excellence of the word taught by Shincheonji Church of Jesus. These Bible-based teachings are positively impacting the faith of believers, who are voluntarily going out to evangelise and contributing to the revival of the Church.

The aforementioned pastor in Venezuela also said, “After changing the church sign, I was able to accurately understand the entire Bible and preach with confidence. That is the greatest blessing I have received from God as a pastor.” He added, “The atmosphere in the church is also joyful because the congregation understands God’s heart more through the sermon.”

Pastors who have experienced such positive changes are actively recommending that their fellow pastors change the signs. This movement is spreading in North America as well as Central and South America.

Despite being nearly 94 years of age, Chairman Lee has visited a total of 40 churches within South Korea and abroad this year to listen to the voices of the faithful and create a better religious environment for them. Moreover, whenever the Chairman visits a church on Sundays and Wednesdays, he stands on the pulpit to testify the Word of God with conviction, centred on the Book of Revelation, preaching powerfully for about an hour.

Recently, on Sunday 1st September, Chairman ManHee Lee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus visited the Shincheonji Yeosu Church of the Peter Tribe, marking the fourth visit to a local church of the same tribe in six months.

The Jeonnam region, where the majority of the Peter Tribe churches are situated, has a higher percentage of Protestants than other regions, and thus, the established religious groups have strong influence within the region. Despite this, among the 12 tribes, the largest number of domestic believers in Shincheonji Church of Jesus belong to the Peter Tribe, which increased from 43,530 domestic believers in 2020 to over 60,000 today, including overseas believers.

On that day, the believers lined up in an orderly manner several kilometres away from Shincheonji Yeosu Church, waving welcome pickets and balloons and cheering to welcome the Chairman. One of the believers who participated in the welcoming procession said, “I came here to express my gratitude to the pastor who has testified to the reality of the fulfilment of the prophecies recorded in the Book of Revelation and has conveyed the revealed word without giving up even in difficult times.”

Then, standing on the pulpit, Chairman Lee emphasised the importance of Bible-centred faith, saying, “God has revealed to us the Revelation that no one knew, including its fulfilment. We must always be thankful and become those who spread the Word of Life.” He continued, “Let us have the appearance of a true believer acknowledged by God according to this Word and become the light of the world.”

A believer who has been a believer in an established church for 25 years said, “I went to the Bible conference (hosted by Shincheonji Church of Jesus) at the recommendation of an acquaintance, and I couldn’t refute the fact that the Chairman explained what he had seen and heard firsthand based on the 5H1W principle of the Bible and the entire Book of Revelation.” He continued, “I'm very grateful because I know that he had many difficulties while preaching the word.”

Shincheonji Church of Jesus is making preparations for its fourth large-scale graduation ceremony of 110,000 students to be held later this year. According to tribe leader Jae-wook Yoo said, “This is possible because God is with us, and because of the devotion and love of the pastor who has led Shincheonji Church of Jesus.”

Meanwhile, the growth of Shincheonji Church of Jesus in the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions has been met with a series of surprising responses from believers and pastors who run churches. In fact, on August 29th, about 100 pastors from the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions affiliated with the Korean Christian Cultural Exchange Network visited Shincheonji Gwangju Church to learn the secrets of its growth.

2000 years ago, when Jesus entered Jerusalem on the colt of a donkey, the crowds spread their cloaks and tree branches on the road and welcomed Jesus while shouting “Hosanna” (Matthew 21:1-11, Luke 19:28-44). Today, in the far corner of the East, in the Republic of Korea, the shouts of 'hosanna' are resounding in a scene reminiscent of the first coming, as congregants of Shincheonji Church of Jesus gathered 4km from the Cheongju church in the blazing sun waving palm branches with flags symbolising the 12 tribes of Shincheonji and pickets that read “Glory in heaven, peace on earth”. Believers warmly welcomed Chairman Lee with the belief that he is the ‘promised pastor who appeared according to the Bible’ when the Book of Revelation was fulfilled, and the ‘promised pastor who testifies to the Book of Revelation that Jesus fulfilled.’

On that day, Chairman Lee testified the 6000-year history of the Bible, with about 100 local pastors in attendance.

Chairman Lee said:-
“When God fulfils this prophecy, shouldn’t the reality of what was prophesied be revealed? Then, when the reality is revealed, those who have the words of this prophecy can recognise the reality through the prophecy. You have to know this to be saved. That is why you cannot add or subtract from the Book of Revelation... Now that the time has come to fulfil the Book of Revelation, Jesus has fed this individual (I, the Chairman) the opened scroll in Revelation Chapter 10, showed him all the fulfilled realities up to Revelation Chapter 22, and told him to go to the churches and testify what was seen and heard.”

At the end of the sermon, Chairman Lee said, “It is written that if you add to or subtract from the Book of Revelation, you will not be able to enter heaven. Would God have lied?” and encouraged, “Pastors, let’s learn the Book of Revelation and receive blessings together.”

Reflecting on the day's events, So-yeon Kim, a Shincheonji Daejeon Church member, said:-
“As it says in the Book of Revelation, this place is called the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony where all nations will gather. So since God and Jesus are here, I think it’s natural that all nations will gather where the promised pastor goes.”

Just as Jesus preached peace at his first coming in accordance with the Old Testament promise to “bring good news and proclaim peace” (Isaiah 52:7), Shincheonji believers believe that Chairman Lee is doing works of peace in accordance with the New Testament promise, working tirelessly to create a peaceful world where God will reign (Rev 19:6).

Ha-eun Kim, a member of Cheongju Church said:-
“I don’t think you can call for peace if you don’t love people with all your heart. Despite being advanced in years, the Chairman is setting an example by creating a country where the whole world can become one, where there is happiness and peace, and where God is present.”

Despite being nearly 94 years of age, Chairman Lee has visited a total of 40 churches domestically and abroad this year alone to listen to the voices of the faithful and create a better religious environment for them. Whenever the Chairman visits a church on Sundays and Wednesdays, he stands on the pulpit to testify the Word of God with conviction, preaching powerfully for about an hour, centred on the Book of Revelation.

As Shincheonji Church of Jesus prepares the fourth graduation ceremony of 100,000 members, Chairman Lee's commitment to the faith and love for the congregations inspires congregants everywhere.

“I felt that we are one family united by the word of truth, and I once again felt proud of belonging to the 12 tribes of Shincheonji.”

These are the words of Na-hyun Kim (25, female), a congregant of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, who attended a Wednesday service at Shincheonji Gangneung Church in Gangneung City, Republic of Korea, on the 4th September.

Around 2000 congregants of the Shincheonji Gangneung Church had lined up waving pink balloons, the symbolic colour of the Philip Tribe, and holding welcome banners in anticipation of the arrival of Chairman ManHee Lee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus.

As such, Chairman Lee entered the Gangneung Church and went up to the podium to lead the Wednesday service and repeatedly emphasised the importance of the prophecy and fulfilment of the Bible. The Book of Revelation is a topic that pastors of the established churches avoid, but Chairman Lee did not open the Bible throughout his sermon and he never deviated from the content of the Bible.

Mr. Sim (male, 70s), a passerby and member of an established church who witnessed this scene, said, “I was moved by the way Shincheonji believers sincerely welcomed and congratulated Chairman ManHee Lee,” and “I was especially impressed by the fact that many young believers gathered.”

Mr. Seung-Woo Lee (54, male), a member of Shincheonji Gangneung Church, said, “It is thanks to the Chairman, the promised pastor, that we have been able to understand the word of truth, and our orderly welcome of the Chairman was heartfelt.” He added, “Through the words we heard at today’s Wednesday service, we realised once again that we are the reality of the leaves of the tree of life that heals all nations.”

Meanwhile, Shincheonji Church of Jesus is making preparations for its fourth large-scale graduation ceremony to be held later this year. In the words of a Shincheonji representative said, “The secret to Shincheonji’s growth to this extent is the excellent teachings of the revealed word of the Bible and the love of Chairman ManHee Lee for the congregation” and “We plan to surprise the world once again with a larger and better-prepared graduation ceremony than last year.”

“I’ve farmed here my whole life, but I’ve never seen anything on this scale.”

These are the words of a local resident in his 80s, who witnessed a typically dormant village of 50 households filled with congregants of Shincheonji Church of Jesus dressed in white in Cheongju City, Republic of Korea, on the 8th September. When the news came that Chairman ManHee Lee of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, who was on a tour of the 12 tribes, would visit the Cheongju branch of the Matthias Tribe of Shincheonji, as many as 80,000 believers from nearby tribes gathered in one place.

Despite being nearly 94 years of age, Chairman Lee in this year alone has visited 39 churches to listen to the voices of the faithful and create a better religious environment for them. Whenever the Chairman visits a church on Sundays and Wednesdays when there is a service, he stands on the pulpit to confidently testify the Word of God, centred on the Book of Revelation, preaching powerfully for about an hour.

On that day, Shincheonji congregants lined up 4km from the church waving palm branches in the blazing sun - a scene reminiscent of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem on a donkey at the first coming -  with flags symbolising the 12 tribes of Shincheonji, and pickets that read “Glory in heaven, peace on earth”.

On that day, Shincheonji believers warmly welcomed Chairman Lee with the belief that he is the ‘promised pastor who appeared according to the Bible’ when the Book of Revelation was fulfilled, and the ‘promised pastor who testifies to the Book of Revelation that Jesus fulfilled.’

A believer, Ms. Kim (27), said, “I believe that the Chairman who is leading the history of Shincheonji is the promised pastor who came according to the Bible, and that God and the spiritual world are with him.”

A fellow believer, Ms. Min Mo (25), who participated in a welcome performance, said, “The Chairman is like a doctor who saves the lives of believers, so we welcome him enthusiastically.”

Ms. Yeonmo (32, female), a believer at the Suwon Church of the John tribe, said, “Just as Jesus came to bring peace 2000 years ago, the promised pastor is not only spreading the word, but is also travelling around the world 32 times to do the work of peace.” She added, “Because we recognise the Chairman as a messenger of peace, Shincheonji believers have gathered to do the same work.”

As promised in Isaiah 52:7, there is one who brings “good news” and “proclaims peace.” Jesus entered Jerusalem as the Prince of Peace at the time of His first coming (Luke 19:28-44). Jesus also said, “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these...” (John 14:12). Shincheonji believers believe that, according to the biblical promise, the Chairman is a messenger of peace and is spreading peace throughout the world. They also believe that, as Revelation 19:6 says “Our Lord God Almighty reigns,” the Chairman plays a role in creating a world of peace where God will reign.

On that day, Chairman Lee testified the 6,000-year history of the Bible, with about 100 local pastors in attendance. The sermon resonated deeply with everyone. At the end of his speech, Chairman Lee said, “It is written that if you add to or subtract from the Book of Revelation, you will not be able to enter heaven. Would God have lied?” and encouraged, “Pastors, let’s learn the Book of Revelation and receive blessings together.”

The visit by Chairman Lee is part of a nationwide tour of churches which marks the 30th anniversary of the founding of Shincheonji Cheongju Church.

“I feel soothed because the discomfort in my curled hands seems to have gone away a little after receiving paraffin hand care and a hand massage.”

These are the words of a beneficiary with finger disability who participated in the 'Beautiful Seniors' programme held by the Cheongpyeong branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group at the Gapyeong District Independent Living Support Centre for People With Disabilities, on 4th September, in the Republic of Korea.

In an ageing society, the 'Beautiful Seniors' programme supports a healthy and happy retirement for people in older age under the slogan ‘One beautiful day is beautiful enough.’

On that day, the Cheongpyeong branch brought joy and warmth to 25 senior citizens through a range of activities, including hair and beauty care, paraffin wax hand massage, sock woodworking, calligraphy frame making, bead crafts, nail art, and more.

Jong-cheol Kim, the director of Gapyeong District Independent Living Support Centre for People With Disabilities, said, “The hairdresser by profession who came as a volunteer is volunteering for the 7th time,” and expressed his gratitude by saying, “It's not easy to run a business, so we sincerely thank you for coming.”

In addition to the Beautiful Seniors programme, the Cheongpyeong branch of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group also conducts the Good Donation, Good Consumption campaign to support low-income households and the Green Nature campaign to pass on a beautiful environment as a legacy to posterity.

Meanwhile, Shincheonji Volunteer Group was founded by Shincheonji Church of Jesus in the Republic of Korea. The purpose of Shincheonji Volunteer Group is to break down the barriers of conflict found within class, gender, religion, and politics, and unite hearts and minds by putting the teachings received from heaven into practice for the growth and development of local communities throughout South Korea.

Nearly 2000 congregants waving welcome banners and red balloons lined up to welcome the messenger of peace, Shincheonji Church Chairman ManHee Lee, as his vehicle arrived at the Shincheonji Gangneung Church, Republic of Korea, on Wednesday 4th September.

Despite being nearly 94 years of age, Chairman Lee, in this year alone, has visited a total of 39 churches to listen to the voices of the faithful and create a better religious environment for them. Whenever the Chairman visits a church on Sundays and Wednesdays when there is a service, he stands on the pulpit to testify the Word of God with conviction, preaching powerfully for about an hour, centred on the Book of Revelation.

As such, Chairman Lee entered the Gangneung Church and went up to the podium to lead the Wednesday service and repeatedly emphasised the importance of the prophecy and fulfilment of the Bible.

Chairman Lee said, “We need to think about 'who I am' according to what the Bible says. What kind of church is our church? Only by knowing the facts prophesied in the Bible can we find the place where God and Jesus are.”

The Chairman continued, “Revelation 22:18-19 says that if you add to or subtract from the Bible, you will not be able to enter heaven, so you should not add to or subtract from it.” He added, “I hope that we all become walking Bibles, so that we can confirm it to others.”

Shincheonji Church of Jesus teaches the revealed word that proves the prophecies of the New Testament and the fulfilment of those prophecies according to the 5H1W method. Accordingly, the number of cases of people choosing Shincheonji Church after hearing the words of Shincheonji is increasing day by day.

Mr. Kim, who had been a Protestant for decades since his birth, said in anticipation of the upcoming fourth 100,000 graduation ceremony of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, “There must be a reason why so many people are studying and graduating.” He emphasised, “If you want to know more about the Bible and the certain biblical evidence pointing to the Chairman, you need to come to Shincheonji Church of Jesus and check it out.”

Ji-yoon Kim, a church member from neighbouring Wonju said, “In general Christianity, people have faith by believing in things that happened in the past in the time of Jesus rather than hoping for something to come and appear as reality. The reason we have faith is our hope for the completion of the Book of Revelation and to contribute to its fulfilment, so because we have that hope, we can be even brighter and more united.”

A Shincheonji Gangneung Church official said, “Today, the prophecy of the Book of Revelation is actually being fulfilled. In order not to add or subtract from the Word at a time like this, it is necessary to meet someone who has seen and heard the fulfilment of the prophecy and hear the true testimony. That person is the Chairman,” and “If you are a believer who believes in the Bible, you must confirm the prophecy and fulfilled reality of the Bible.”

As Shincheonji Church of Jesus prepares the fourth graduation ceremony of 100,000 members, Chairman Lee's commitment to the faith and love for the congregations inspires congregants everywhere.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus is preparing its fourth graduation ceremony of over 110,000 members this year.

The secret? A strong focus on Bible-based teachings, dedicated leadership, and the tireless efforts of Chairman ManHee Lee, who at 93, has visited 39 churches across South Korea this year alone, covering more than 20,000 km. Chairman Lee visits churches on Sundays, Wednesdays, and weekdays without exception, listening to the voices of the church members and creating a better religious environment for them. His commitment to the faith and his deep love for the church congregation inspire congregants everywhere.

Whenever news of the Chairman's visit spreads, the congregation members of the church in question prepare pickets with warm words to welcome the Chairman, and form an orderly line several kilometres away from the church to greet him.

In addition, whenever the Chairman visits a church on Sundays and Wednesdays when there is a service, he stands on the pulpit to testify the Word of God with conviction, preaching powerfully for about an hour, centred on the Book of Revelation. The Chairman does not open the Bible when he preaches, and never deviates from the Bible, to the degree that pastors who have seen and heard him testify are left bewildered.

As anticipation grows for the upcoming ceremony, the priority is on the health and safety of the congregation members. The fact that there was not a single safety incident despite 100,000 people gathering in one place in 2019, 2022, and 2023 is evidence of the organisational strength of Shincheonji Church of Jesus.

Shincheonji Church of Jesus is showing the world what true growth and unity look like. In the words of a church official, “The secret to Shincheonji Church of Jesus’ rapid growth is the excellence of its teachings on the revealed word of the Bible and the love of Chairman ManHee Lee for the congregants.”

Shincheonji Church of Jesus is spearheading a rejuvenation of the global Church. Amid the general decline of Christianity due to declining church membership and growing secularisation trends, with churches in Europe even being replaced by bars, clubs and restaurants, Shincheonji Church of Jesus has successfully held three consecutive '100,000 Graduation Ceremonies' (2019, 2022, 2023) and signed memorandums of understanding (MOUs) for biblical exchange with 12,538 churches in 83 countries. This year has seen the 'Shincheonji Bible Seminar by Continent' conferences drawing in the attendance of thousands of pastors, who are now studying the revealed theology from Shincheonji online and offline. The driving force behind Shincheonji Church of Jesus’ rapid growth is the doctrine, that is, the “testimony of the prophecies of the Book of Revelation and the reality of their fulfilment.” Who is leading the growth of Shincheonji Church of Jesus and revival of the Church?

ManHee Lee was born in 1931 in Cheongdo, North Gyeongsang Province, Republic of Korea. His grandfather is said to have named his grandson 'ManHee' after dreaming of a light shining on his daughter-in-law's belly. He grew up in a very poor rural family and often climbed mountains with his grandfather and prayed, but did not formally attend church. When the Korean War broke out, he fought on the frontlines as a student volunteer at the age of 17 and witnessed the deaths of many comrades. The experience at that time would become the catalyst for his decision to launch a global peace movement.

After being discharged from the army, he worked in the countryside, and out of gratitude for surviving the war, prayed to God every morning and evening in the fields of the farmhouse, following in the footsteps of his grandfather. Then one day a star in the night sky appeared in front of where he was praying. After that, he climbed the mountain with the guidance of this big star and swore allegiance to God in blood.

ManHee Lee then sought the church for his life of faith. One day, he found a church that had seven pastors (named the Tabernacle Temple in Revelation chapters 2-3). Those pastors slit their wrists as a promise to devote their lives to God. After discovering the church was corrupted, he had to return to his hometown and took part in the “New Village Movement (a domestic political initiative for revitalisation of the rural economy)” for seven years (c.1971-1977). After that, he met a spiritual entity from heaven and began to carry out a life of faith based on heaven's command. He returned to the church he had left and began to testify the fulfilled realities of Revelation to a few of the brothers and sisters there. It was around that time in the early 1980s that he came to realise that the Book of Revelation was being fulfilled and that he was the messenger of Jesus and the messenger of prophecy sent for the churches (see Revelation 22:8, 16). Thereafter, Chairman Lee held Bible seminars on Revelation throughout South Korea and, in more recent years, offline and online to an audience of pastors and congregants globally.

Chairman ManHee Lee is also spearheading the work of peace, having toured the  world 32 times, meeting with former and current presidents and religious leaders from 52 countries, for the work of cessation of wars and sustainable world peace since 2012.

Chairman ManHee Lee, who says, “I have done nothing without the direction of heaven,” is continuing his activities at the unbelievable age of 93. As a “messenger of Jesus” who “spreads the message of salvation and peace,” attention is focused on what kind of impact his activities will have on the religious community and society in the future. By the end of this year, Shincheonji Church of Jesus is expected to hold a fourth graduation ceremony of over 110,000 students.

In mid-July, the Andrew tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus held a seminar on the theme of ‘Kkarihage’ to an audience of 2000 citizens at the Andrew Tribe Training Centre in Busan, Republic of Korea. The lecture hall was filled to capacity, and many of the attendees were standing to listen.

'Kkarihage' means 'cool' in the dialect spoken of in the South Gyeongsang province, where the port city of Busan is located.

Before the event started, the youth members of the church gave a variety of cultural performances, including singing and dancing, on the theme of "happiness" to open the hearts of the attendees.

The seminar's lecturer and leader of the tribe, Jeong-woo Lee, explained how people overly preoccupied with outer appearance can become healthier and more beautiful on the inside rather than the outside, and pointed out the direction for their future lives.

An official of the Andrew tribe said, “We interpret the reason why so many people are gathered on this day as being due to the desire of people who are tired of life to live 'Kkarihage,' and the role of modern religions is to heal and restore weary minds and bodies.”
