Shincheonji Volunteer Group's Seoul-Gyeonggi Southern Branch launches carbon neutrality campaign
Earth Day was established in 1970 to call on governments, communities, and businesses to take action for nature conservation and a healthier Earth.
To mark 54th Earth Day, Shincheonji Volunteer Group's Seoul-Gyeonggi Southern Branch will be holding a campaign to promote carbon neutrality until the 31st of May.
The Seoul-Gyeonggi Southern Branch launched this campaign to raise awareness and spread the practice of carbon-neutral living by first encouraging its members to register for the carbon neutral point system, which grows when completing activities including using tumblers and reusable cups, disposing of high-quality recyclables, and returning used mobile phones.
The target number during the campaign period is 10,000.
In addition, a newsletter on carbon neutrality activities and a shorts video containing practice methods will be produced to promote it to members.
An official from the Seoul-Gyeonggi Branch said, “We hope that the culture of protecting and caring for the environment will further spread through the campaign.”
