Over 4000 people gathered at an indoor lecture hall at a country widely known as the Pearl of the Orient Seas on the 20th April to listen to a powerful lecture delivered by ManHee Lee, Chairman of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Shincheonji Church of Jesus).

The Bible lecture marks the first of a series of lectures that Chairman Lee will hold worldwide.

Chairman Lee first introduced himself and the reason he began his faith. Chairman Lee was born in Cheongdo, North Gyeongsang Province as the 19th generation descendant of Grand Prince Hyoryeong, the second son of King Taejong of the Joseon Dynasty and older brother of King Sejong the Great. When the Korean War broke out, he participated as a student volunteer and witnessed the deaths of many comrades at the forefront. The experience at that time was the catalyst for his decision to launch a global peace movement.

After being discharged from the army, he worked in the countryside and prayed to God every morning and evening in the fields of the farmhouse. Then one day a star in the night sky appeared in front of where he was praying. After that, he climbed the mountain with the guidance of a big star, swore allegiance to God in blood, and began a life of faith.

According to Chairman Lee, he came to realise that the Book of Revelation was being fulfilled, and in the early 1980s, he experienced receiving the open book recorded in Revelation 10. Afterwards, he said he realised that he was the messenger of Jesus and the messenger of prophecy sent for the churches.  Since hearing the revelation received by Chairman Lee, believers have flocked to Shincheonji Church of Jesus.

Chairman Lee then explained the reason for testifying the revealed word, saying, “The majority of Revelation chapters 1 to 22 are what Jesus showed and fed to one person,” and “This one person (Chairman Lee) can testify all the events in their entirety up to chapter 22 according to what was seen and heard.”

He emphasised that “one person has seen the fulfilled realities of Revelation chapters 1 to 22,” and citing Revelation 22:8, 16, “Jesus commands that person to testify to the churches.” 

Chairman Lee said, “There is a time when prophecy is made, and there is a time when it comes true. When it comes true, you have to see it and believe it, and that is why the prophecy was made in advance.”

Chairman Lee also said, “I have travelled the world 32 times to convey what I have seen and heard.”

Chairman Lee also affirmed that this era is ‘the time when the Book of Revelation comes true.’ Chairman Lee said, “The world is in a deep sleep and does not know whether God’s book of Revelation will come true or not,” and declared, “More than half of the Book of Revelation has been fulfilled.”

Citing Revelation 22:18-19 several times, Chairman Lee emphasised that if one adds to or subtracts from the Book of Revelation, one will not enter heaven, and that if one desires heaven and eternal life, one must go to the ends of the world to find out whether it has fulfilled in reality according to the Bible. “You have to confirm it and believe it for yourself according to the words of the Bible,” he emphasised.

Again, Chairman Lee asked, “Why would it be written in Revelation 22:18-19 that if you add or subtract from it, you will not be able to go to heaven and will be cursed?” and answered, “Because these words will be fulfilled exactly as is written, as if stamped with a seal.”

Chairman Lee emphasised that the Word must be engraved in our hearts so as to become a ‘walking Bible’ and “There is no word of salvation except for the 144,000 who are sealed and the great multitude.”

An official of Shincheonji Church of Jesus said, “Due to the explosive response and earnest requests from numerous pastors and believers around the world for the Shincheonji Revelation Bible Seminar, we have decided to hold the ‘2024 Shincheonji Bible Seminar by Continent’,” starting with Asia on April 20th. The Bible Seminar is scheduled to be held throughout Europe, Africa, America, Oceania, and concluding in Asia this year. The Shincheonji Bible Seminar will also be broadcast live on YouTube in multiple languages so that anyone around the world can view it.”
